Henry and the team were fantastic! They were fast, efficient and cleaned up all debris. We have a hugh tree whose canopy shades half of the roof of our two-story house. Therefore, we are very particular about who trims the tree. Henry came out for the estimate followed by their arborist who inspected the tree's health prior to the job and checking the tree and ensure the tree would not be damaged by the trimming. Upon the arrival of their crew it was clear they were skilled workers. They took time to "plan" how and what to trim giving consideration to what was best for our house, the tree's health and appropriate to the landscape view. I was skeptical about how they could safely trim such a large tree without "cherry picker" type heavy equipment; however, they assured me that this was the safest method for the safety of my home. I'm was convinced. They trimmed the tree top to bottom and cleaned up all of the debris. The tree is beautiful!!! They safely removed 2 large branches, trimmed all of the crossing branches, shaped the canopy & cleared the tree to allow good wind flow through the canopy. The other trees were also artfully trimmed. Wonderful job! We are extremely pleased! We will definitely use them again!

Called for an estimate and Kevin Johnson responded with an appointment time that was convenient and quick turn around. He provided the estimate in email immediately that day. He followed up with a phone call a few days later to see if we wanted to move forward with the service and mentioned some dates that would fit with their current work load. The estimate he provided was a good price compared to a few other estimates we received. And, he included a discount for coming from Angie's List. The crew showed up on time and got right to work. The work was good quality, and Kevin checked in to make sure it was progressing according to our expectations. They did a great job with the trees and the clean up! I will use Johnson Tree Service again and have recommended them to our neighbors already.

It went very well. We got immediate estimates, and the work was performed as soon as we wanted it done. Kevin and Henry were prompt, punctual, and the communication was excellent; they returned all calls right away. Kevin was kind enough to go under our house to assess for root growth there as well.

The team arrived on time in the a.m. and took about 5 hours to complete the job. There was a little collateral damage to landscape plants, but not much. They used a lot of ropes to direct falling branches to open spots. I used the 10% off coupon from Angie's List.

Johnsons Tree service was one of several companies I called. His estimate was the lowest. I felt very comfortable with the estimator, Henry Vargas. He was very knowlegeable, friendly, patient, and willing to answer any question. He even took the time to go over to my neighbors house to let him know what was going on and to get permission to cut the tree. He scheduled the work for a few days later. They workers came right on time and ready to work. Very professional job. The work was done to my satisfaction. Everything was cleaned up and gone within 2 hours. They left no evidence of their work other than the sawdust from the stump ground into the dirt. I was very happy with the entire job :) . I would highly recommend Johnson's Tree Service to any of my friends or family members.

Johnsons Tree service was one of several companies I called. While his estimate was not the lowest , or the highest, I felt very comfortable with the estimator, Kevin Johnson, brother of the owner. He was very knowlegeable, friendly, patient, and willing to answer any question. He wrote the esitmate right there on his I-pad and emailed it to me. He scheduled the work for a few days later. I was pleasantly surprised, he also came, and stayed there while the work was being done. Generally over seeing it, and making sure it conformed with what he had discussed with us. I liked that he was willing add extra trimming that seemed appropriate, like an apple tree trunk that was weak and diseased. All in all a pleasrable experience

They came on time, worked as a team (4 men), were professional, and completed the work in stated time.

I got Johnson's Tree Service off Angie's List. They will start the job this week. I thought the price sounded reasonable for what they were going to do. They seemed to know what they were talking about. Everything went fine and they were on time.

They were wonderful! They did great work. They were very fast and efficient. I was very happy with the price. I have had trees removed before, and I expected more than that. They were very courteous and prompt. We would call them back in a second. They were very reasonable and professional. They were thorough. I was very pleased. I am definitely going to call them again when I need a tree cut down.

I called Henry Vargas who agreed to come out to give me an estimate on removing the tree. Henry came, we agreed upon a price, and he said because of other job commitments he would call to schedule. He failed to call to schedule. I called and left voicemails, and I emailed, without a response. I contacted Angie's List who advised giving them one more chance to carry through. This I did, leaving another detailed message on Henry's voicemail. He did respond several days later, leaving an excuse on my voicemail. By this time I had contacted another tree service. Although I had previously been very pleased with Johnson's and had recommended them to others, I will not use them again due to the unprofessional and unreliable conduct.

I called during "high season" -- right after a storm is when tree services get SWAMPED with work. Since our tree was not posing any danger to people or property, I agreed to wait 36 hours to have my tree removed. The work was completed very quickly, considering how busy the company was. Henry Vargas explained the work to be done and the charges very clearly and concisely. He worked hard to make sure we were satisfied, and scheduled work around my kid's dentist appointment, as well. :-) We were very pleased overall.

Prepared estimate based on discussion on what we wanted done. We had gotten an estimate from another company on Angie's List, and Johnson's estimate was several $100's less and in line with what people we knew had paid. Came the next day as planned. Arrived several minutes early. Crew of three trimmers climbed tree and trimmed. Result looks very good. Courteous foreman/representative. Answered questions and explained what they were doing. Set up traffic cones and directed traffic. Cleaned up after very well. We would recommend this company to others.

It all went very well. They were forced to reschedule our appointment once due to the severe rainstorms we were having during that week, , but was okay of course, as Henry called and let us know, and they showed up on the next scheduled date and time once the weather calmed down. Henry did the estimate and was here during the work and everything looks great. They trimmed our Pittosporum tree and some camelia bushes. I had more trimmed off this year in order to keep roof rats away from the building,and Henry was very knowledgeable about how far we could trim without hurting the tree. I really appreciate their excellent customer service and their professionalism.

Kevin Johnson came and gave an estimate. I could tell he liked trees and had the goal of making them look better while improving their health. The estimate was reasonable (and got the Angie's list discount). Kevin brought the crew and supervised the work staying on site for most of the time. He did some of the finer work himself. The crew was experienced. Cleaned up and left me an excellent pile of firewood.

They gave us a very good price and we were very pleased with them. It went really well and we would highly recommend them. Their bid was originally too high and they called us back a few weeks later and gave us another price so we said okay. They came as promised and cleaned up really well. They were polite and really professional. We had zero complaints about them.

The entire operation went well. Umberto and his team of workers were professional and careful not to damage surrounding plantings. They also did a great job of cleaning up. Henry Vargas represented the work that was to be done correctly. I had a small problem with scheduling the work but I think it was that I was using email rather than contacting Henry directly on the phone. I would recommend this company to my friends. This is the best experience I have had with a tree service and I have used several that had large ads in the Yellow pages. Angie's List steered me to this company and they were right!

John met with us and discussed the various tree services his company provides and, of course, a quote to remove the offending trees. The quote was more than fair, the work was scheduled promptly, and completed in short order. Our neighbor asked that some old tree debris be removed and John had that done with a very modest cost. I highly recommend this company and will further say that the entire Johnson crew were the best we have ever worked with.

I did not have good luck getting a quote from them. I originally setup an appointment with Henry for a quote. I left work early to meet him, the appointed hour came and went and he was a no show. I called and discovered he was stuck at another job. Supposedly he had asked another employee to come and quote. I was surprised when he asked me to call the other guy and find out why he didn't show up. By the time I got a hold of the other employee, it was too dark for a quote, made an appointment for another day, but then the guy was sick and could not come. To be fair they did attempt to reschedule the quote for another day. but I moved on to another company.

I called several arborists listed on Angie's list for estimates to trim trees at our home. We have a very large orange tree (with excellent oranges) that had become unmanagable. 2 of the three met us at the house and provided estimates; one drove by and left an estimate. We selected Johnson's tree service based on the reviews on Angies List and the excellent customer service provided by Henry. Henry was very responsive and personable from the first call to the end of the job. He listened to what we wanted done and provided professional service that met our needs while maintaining the health of the trees; we also appreciated that he was actually on site when the work was done. . His crew arrived on schedule, finished the job in a timely manner and did a great job with clean up- leaving us the oranges and removing the trimmings. The job took slightly longer to schedule than we had hoped because Johnson's was called for some emergency clean up after our big storm, but Henry called to let us know about the conflict and the job was completed shortly thereafter. Overall we were pleased with the completed project.

I couldn't ask for more! They arrived on time, having a licensed arborist inspect the job both the week before the work and also the day of the work. It took almost 2 full days to complete all the work, and the results far exceed our expectations. As limbs were cut and dropped to the ground, workers promptly removed them and chipped them in their nearby truck. At the completion of the work, workers not only raked the yard, but used a blower to remove any small twigs, leaves, etc. My yard ended up cleaner than before they came! Trees are BEAUTIFUL and very expertly done.

We received a quick call back from Henry Vargas from Johnson's. He came over the next day and looked at the trees, and gave us an estimate that evening. While their estimate was not the lowest we received, he was quite close and we felt that his professionalism was exemplary, so we chose him. He showed up with a complete team a few days later, and they did the work carefully and quickly, making sure not to harm any of the other plants in the back yard. Their crew was helpful in carrying some new trees that we had just bought, and did anything they could to make the process as easy as it could be from our perspective. They weren't able to complete the job on Friday, so part of the crew came Saturday and finished grinding the last of the stumps and roots. Just a great job overall, and we already recommended them to another friend of ours, so they are doing their trees now. Would highly recommend Johnson's.

We called to have an estimate for the work and Henry showed up promptly. He was efficient and friendly and explained our options well. Once we decided to do the work, he took care of pulling the appropriate permits and dealing with the city requirements relating to heritage tree removal. The work took one afternoon with some cleanup the following day. The crew did a great job!

Henry Vargas came out 12/28/2010 to do an estimate. He was extremely friendly and professional. He quoted a very reasonable price, and then knocked an additional 10% off when I showed him the Angie's List coupon. The crew came out the next day, at the time promised. They were done with the work in about a half hour. Henry then walked me through what had been done. After they left I went online and paid at their web site using my credit card. Very convenient. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

They were great. They did a great job and they were clean. I was very pleased. Their price was reasonable. I would definitely use them in the future.
