Excellent advice and service at a very reasonable price. One word of warning: After coming out and giving us a quote they did not follow up (I note that one of the other reviews had the same problem). We had to track them down to schedule the work. We are glad that we did.

Called on Monday to set up an appointment. A wind storm had knocked over a large oak in our yard. We were concerned about the other trees and wanted quotes on pruning them as well. In all we wanted quotes on 4 different projects. Spoke with Henry who set up an meeting for Thursday between 11:00 and 11:30. Waited until 2:00 and Henry did not show up. No one called to explain. Felt that it was not up to me to chase down Henry. Clearly, they did not want the business. Think a courtesy call would have been professional.

Johnson Tree Service did a great job at a reasonable price. The only complaint I have is, they where a little slow to responding to emails.

I contacted the companies based on reviews from Angie's List. I was not disappointed. Kevin was able to come out and make an estimate on trimming 2 very large pine trees soon after my initial call. The estimate was reasonable compared to other companies. They had an unexpected opening the same week of the estimate which worked out well for me. The crew was friendly and efficient and they left my yard cleaner than when they started! Kevin was around to during the day to ensure the work was done correctly and answer questions. Good experience overall.

I was very pleased with the estimation process and the efficiency of the work. Their estimation process uses the latest in mobile technology to take accurate notes and quickly get you an electronic estimate. Communication throughout the entire process was thorough and professional.

Overall it went very well. I would use them again and recommed them highly.

We were looking for a reputable tree trimming service for our yard. Being members of Angie's List, we found Johnson's Tree Service. Scott Johnson, one of the owners, came and gave us an estimate. Scott was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and personable. We decided to use his service, and arranged a date and time. We had overlooked the 10% discount for Angie's List members, and he very obligingly deducted it from the total cost. We would definitely use them again, and recommend them to our friends.

It was one of the better experiences that I've had with a tree service. I would definitely use them again and I would recommend to everyone.

As I said before, the whole experience was very positive. No complaints at all.

My neighbor paid for the service but they did the work in my lawn. It was a view issue. They were very pleasant to work with, particularly the owner. They did a good job. The work was perfect.

I called Johnson's Tree Service to get an estimate for tree pruning The arborist and the estimator showed up on time. After that I did not hear them again. I called again and asked the estimate. Never return my call. I guess the don't want business.

Great, on time on task, friendly, very fast, very neat, looks great.

Eventually Johnson's did a good job but I can't give them an A because of problems I encountered. Because of their high rating on Angie's list, I anticipated no problems. I asked the supervisor to remove a tall palm tree, advise me about how to trim two other trees to make room for my power line and telephone line and do some additional trimming. When I returned home after their work I discovered that they had not removed the stump of the palm tree (it was left about 2 feet high) and their trim job on the trees with the wires was horrible - misshapen trees and the telephone wire was being pulled taut because one of the two trees was not trimmed enough. I called Johnson's and one of the owners came out with the supervisor to look at the work. After some discussion, we agreed on some additional trimming and stump grinding, which I paid another $400 for. They subsequently completed the work well, did a good job cleaning up, etc. I feel the supervisor did not communicate well with me, not telling me they were going to leave a stump; and also not giving me good alternatives on the trees that were interfering with wires. The owner did a good job fixing things but this should not have happened and I would be reluctant to user their service again.

total waste of my time. Henry said he was real busy but promised twice that he would come by and give an estimate for tree pruning. Never showed up or called again. Guess they don't need the work.

Henry arrived promptly to give an estimate to remove one tree and trim the pines. We discussed whether any other trees needed maintenance at the same time. He suggested some additional minor trimming now, but that most should await a different season. His advise seemed sensible, so we agreed on exactly what would be done. A couple of days later, the job was handled quickly and efficiently. The cleanup was great. In the past, I have had some bad tree service experiences. So I was happy they have a knowledgeable arborist and actually stayed to supervise the job! I will be calling again in a few months.

They came over & suggested it be cut back. They came and trimmed it back for me. I did all the correspondence over the phone. I was not at home when the service was done but my sister was there. The way the man told me over the phone was exactly like he said it would turn out. They were cordial, professional and very honest.

When the crew, Henry and the arborist returned to do the work, the arborist (and Henry) clearly showed us that the three trees were indeed dying, so we agreed to have them removed, renegotiating the price. The crew performed the job efficiently, came back the next day to remove the stumps and did a thorough clean up. Henry did have to call us twice to change the agreed upon date/time for doing the work which caused a bit on inconvenience, but he was very professional about all and we were more than satisfied with the overall results.

They removed a very tall tree about 50 feet and they ground the stump. We have used them before. While they were here we took out another tree which was 40 feet and still standing and we didn’t know how much longer it would stand. I like their rapid response. He got right out when the tree fell down and this was near Christmas. I called him up and asked if he could come and he showed up that day and they had it out by that evening. They stayed after dark to get it done. I don't have anything to compare them to.

It went very well. I got the estimate and an approximate timeline. I had a hot tub that needed removal before they could finish the job. So they came back to work on the roots after the hot tub was removed. Some of the roots were not finished, so they promptly came back and solved the problem adjusting to my schedule to finish the job. I wish they had seen it themselves before I had to called them, but they were so responsive after my call that I am completely pleased with their job.

They did a fine job. I was perfectly satisfied with them. I don't have any dislikes. The price was reasonable. They showed up when they were scheduled to and they got the job done properly. They did what they promised to do. They cleaned up very well and cleared all the debris I will use them in the future.

Henry's team trimmed and cleaned up a huge old oak tree in my yard (overhanging 3 properties). My two neighbors both showed up and decided to pipe in about what they wanted done with the tree. I was not thrilled, but Henry handled it like a champ. He was pleasant and courteous to everyone, and in the end, all 3 of us were satisfied with the job done. The price was competitive and Johnson's did a nice job. Henry was great to work with too! His estimate was very competitive, and the price charged was exactly that of the estimate, no surprises. I'll definitely reuse Johnson's!

They cleaned all the debris on their way out and did a good job. We would recommend them,

These guys did excellent work, provided excellent service and helped us out with an incident with our neighbors (we forgot to ask one of our adjacent neighbors about an access issue) by giving the neighbors a bit of free service. They had an emergency call just prior to the time we had scheduled but, were able to reschedule the job to start for a few hours later and finished the job on the originally anticipated day! Their clean-up after the job left our yard looking cleaner than before they did all they work and they were very careful in handling the tree tops so nothing got damaged.

Henry came out within a few days for an estimate. We received other estimates and the prices were comparable. Our neighbor has a huge ash tree that had overtaken our back yard. Henry handled talking to the neighbor and telling him what he recommended that was best for the tree, and getting permission to climb the tree. The crew came at the specified time and chipped and hauled off the branches. Also, we have a vinyl lined pool which punctures very easily. Although the branches were all above the pool, the crew were careful not to puncture the pool liner. I will definitely ue them again.

There was a mixiup on the initial quote making the job appear to be much more expensive. When we questioned it, the errors were immediately corrected, and the job was awarded to them. The crew arrived on time and completed the job within the time quoted. No collateral damage was done to our home, fencing, or gardens. All debris was cleaned up after the trimming was completed.
