Job went very well, they arrived on time are very knowledge. All three trees look wonderful. They worked quickly and efficiently. Johnsons Tree Cars is a first class operation and I will use them again.

Getting a quote was easy. I was able to reach Kevin both by phone and by email when necessary. Both he and the crew were punctual for both the quote and the work. Work was completed rather quickly and cleanly. Had a nice chat with both Kevin and Henry while the work was being done on some actions we can take to care for the magnolia and some other trees in the yard.

Kevin called me back immediately and scheduled an appointment to give me a quote within a couple days (and came out on a Saturday). He was timely on the first visit and gave me a reasonable quote for the requested work. His quote was lower than another that I had previously received. On Saturday he committed to come out the following Wednesday to perform the work. He showed up on time, did all the required work and cleaned up everything. He left my yard in immaculate condition. He also offered me tips for preserving a couple of my other trees. Kevin was timely, courteous, and efficient. I would highly recommend him. From first phone call to final product, the whole thing took a week.

Henry Vargas was prompt in estimating the service. He promptly provided a written quote, all insurance and disability information and kept in touch until our scheduled date. During the project, he and Kevin were there several times a day to make sure everything went well, and kept in touch with us at all times. We are so impressed with the work that the tree climbing / cutting crew did. This tree is unimaginably massive- hung over neighbors yards and structures- and they removed it without any damage. They worked so very hard. Thank goodness this company came to our rescue. At they end of the project they cleaned up and made sure we were satisfied. Of course a few small garden plants at the base of the tree were damaged in the process - that is reasonable considering what they had to to - but what these guys accomplished was truly remarkable! Trust them with your project.

Kevin, the owner, was great. He was able to come out on a Saturday to look at the tree and provide me with his professional opinion of what services I needed. He also gave me guidance as to how to obtain a tree removal permit and gave his opinion regarding replacement trees, which was extremely helpful in my getting this project started. Once I had the concrete provider in place, I was able to schedule the day for the tree removal. This tree was surrounded by power lines and near the gas line. Kevin and his team were punctual and I was fascinated in how efficiently and neatly they were able to remove the tree. They took great care with the power lines. Throughout this process, Kevin was available to answer my questions. I highly recommend Kevin and his company and would not hesitate to hire him for any future tree-related needs.

Scott was incredibly responsive and gave me the lowest of 3 quotes. His team came the very next day and completed the job in 2 days. It met and even exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended if you want honest, good work done to your trees.

As I mentioned above, Johnson Tree Care did a wonderful job of removing a large tree and after completing that task, in record time, they proceeded to clear up my totally over-grown yard. Everything was left absolutely clean -- not one leaf or piece of wood was left on the ground. My grand kids can now play in my yard!

Kevin personally showed up and talked me through the service I wanted. He was very knowledgeable about the types of trees and what was happening with them. His team provided a great service, was punctual and worked quickly. I highly recommend.

Henry's worker was punctual and took care of business. Perhaps he could have been more thorough on the cleanup, but my wife and I were pleased with the results. We would use this service again.

I first used Johnson's Tree Service back in 2007, to remove an invasive privet tree and replace it with something more maintainable. At that time, with Kevin Johnson responding, I was impressed with his responsiveness and the quality and thoroughness of his work. This time, I've found the contact somewhat more frustrating. First, let me say that if you can get his team out to do a job, they do fast, thorough, diligent work, clean up behind themselves completely, are very careful not to impact nearby plants, fences, etc. You'll be glad you dealt with them. This time, though, with a new lead person (Henry Vargas) running the show, my experience has been very frustrating. To summarize my experience, he never once ever returned a call, or called me back about anything!!! Every time I talked to him, I had to make the effort, which is complicated by the fact that once he gets into his busy day, he doesn't answer the phone... I would have to start calling early in the morning and hope that I caught him. What made this a problem, is that the replacement trees that I was looking for, appear to be difficult to find, at least at the nurseries that he used. So I ended up requesting different trees several times... and each time he said he'd look around and get back to me - be he never did, I'd end up calling back after a few weeks, only to hear that he couldn't find what I was looking for. This really is not very professional. I understand that he's very busy, but part of his job is communicating with customers. As it is, I never did get a replacement tree in place; we agreed on a commonly-available tree to put in, but he never called me back, and it's been six weeks now. Obviously, he just doesn't do that. At this point, I'm going to research some other tree service to take care of my needs.

The team arrived early and was at work by 09:00 and by 16:00 the tree and stump were gone. The team did an excellent job and we were extremely happy with the competitive bid and the professionalism of the team.

Henry was friendly & organized from start to finish. The price quote was very reasonable so I did not feel the need to get multiple comparison quotes. He and his crew worked quickly and cleaned up everything very well. I would definitely recommend him to others and use this company again in the future if the need arises.

lThey arrived with a huge truck with a chopper to cut up all the clippings. The man who came out to give an estimate brought 4/5 workers The boss did not perform duties but oversaw project. I was not here but my husband reported, they cleaned up all the cuttings and chopped them and took them away.We have had this done every year -they recommended not cutting as severely and doing it every two years. They seemed to know what they were doing.I would recommend them highly and will use them again for similar projects. We are seniors with various infirmities and need more services than previously. We also have a neighborhood bulletin board on line pipeline and I am amazed at the response from neighbors I don't know who have offered to do all kinds of jobs for us..

I called them to come out and give an estimate for tree trimming services in Gilroy. They told me that they don't service Gilroy, as it is "far" from Sunnyvale. They ditn't realize they were advertising work in Gilroy through Angie's List. They told me if no one else would come to our house, they would do it, but starting price would be $500 just to show up.

They were professional and did a great job... the entire team. The tree was dead and giant branches were coming down near the roof of the house... it was dangerous work. They know what they are doing and there expertise was apparent, even cleared off the roof and gutters of the debris and pine needles. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic! In three words - Professional, punctual, and polite! I worked through Henry Vargas, who initially came out to review the trees that needed to be removed and ultimately provided me with the proposal. Polite and knowledgeable, he had assessed that a permit would be needed and as a curtesy went ahead and notified PGE for me (I did not know that this is also a requirement to ensure safety) . Right off the start I was impressed ! I like to do things correctly, safely and meet the requirements of the city. Once contracted, he informed me what time he and his team would be expected and that he would be present during the job to oversee and manage the execution - and they came as promised and on time. They worked effectively, efficiently and left the property clean of debris. They were also extremely careful and made sure not to interfere or impact my neighbors. Keep up the great work!

I couldn't be more pleased. Even though it was a relatively small job, they were concerned with doing the job well and were careful to take into account what we wanted to be done. Based on prior experience with having a tree trimmed/pruned, I felt their rates were very reasonable. They were very prompt to show up when they were expected. I would highly recommend them.

Due to a bit of disorganization on Henry's part, he missed our initial consultation appointment, but when I called him, he apologized, recovered quickly, and came right over. Everyone makes mistakes, so occasional ones are OK form a company as long as they do everything they can to correct it, and Henry did. Everything else went smoothly. Henry brought his arborist and the consultation was informative and professional. Having a certified arborist on board gives good confidence of quality work, not just some hacks with saws. We quickly agreed to the scope of work, and Henry responded with an estimate in a timely fashion. We scheduled work for the following week and it was done as promised. Results look good -- didn't go for a full cutback to the knuckle, but the trees should be significantly more manageable. The silk tree is positioned over some a bed of new-ish ground cover that I was afraid might suffer some damage from falling branches, but no problems there.

Henry came out to give us an estimate. He was the second of three providers we had contacted for bids. Johnson's was not the cheapest, but we went with them because Henry was charismatic guy, and I felt very comfortable doing business with him. The arrived on a windy raining day and completed the job in one day. Cleaned up completely when they were done.

They arrived on time and went right to work. The team was friendly and fast. They also were careful of wires and patio covering. The team let me know that some of the sprinkler line might be damaged with the stump grinding before they did any of the work. Kevin was great to work with and scheduled job within one week. I would definitely work with them again.

They were clean, prompt and efficient. They were very friendly as well.

They did a very good job removing one tree and trimming others and helpful with advice. They cleaned up completely after they were done. I would definitely use Johnson's Tree Service again.

These guys are fantastic! Very professional. Great price for the work that they provided. When they saw additional trimming that needed to be done, they suggested it and completed it at NO additional charge. Cleanup was excellent. I will definitely use them again.

Kevin provided estimate and applied 10% Angie's list discount. I did not feel pressured at all. His quote was $200 cheaper than competitors before discount. Kevin worked with me and called 811 prior to grinding stump, just to be sure there were no problems. Workers arrived 8:30. The lead introduced himself and went over the work that was scheduled to be done. Crew was efficient and completed cutting down the tree and leaving the larger pieces for firewood. They trimmed the Bottle brush which was overgrown. Kevin came by and walked through the work with me and I asked that the Bottle brush be lifted a bit more for aesthetics. Kevin grabbed a tool , a couple of the guys followed him and they beautifully shaped the bush. First team left and Henry stayed and waited for the stump grinder. The two areas were ground and the job was completed before 11:00. Henry and I walked through the completed job to make sure I was satisfied. Nice Job.
