Description of Work: Replaced our water heater. Great unit that is much more quiet than our previous heater. The guy didn't attach the exhaust pipe properly, so he had to come back and fix it. He also had to replace the insulation around the pipe which melted. Had to wait a few hours for the repairman to come back. Overall, good work.

Description of Work: Dale Plumbing installed a new 3/4" gas line from the meter next to our kitchen to our livingroom fireplace via the crawl space under the house. They installed a valve in the living room wall and punched into the side of the fireplace. All went without a hitch. Price included parts and labor, permit and inspection fees.

Description of Work: I want to report that Dale's plumbing came to look at the job I wanted to do and recommended against doing it. I had originally proposed adding a dedicated drain for our washing machine. I think the advice was essentially good, but the problem is that they charged me $75 for a free estimate and I paid $119 to Angies for $200 worth of service. Thus, I ended up spending $119 for a free service and Angies did not offer any further compensation. I don't plan on using anymore plumbing services from Angies, as this experience - which began with another company who never honored the BIG DEAL - was not a good one! I would not use Dale's again because they count their hourly rate from the time their in the shop until the time they complete the work.

Description of Work: they fixed a leaky faucet that I have had problems with for years. I have replaced it with several cheaper faucets which worked for a while. They installed a beautiful new faucet that has a five year warranty. I should have did this from the start. I will probably not have another problem for years. taking the cheap way out sometimes cost you more in the end. lesson learned.

Description of Work: The plumber came to adjust taps on sink and shower. He explained why they were goofy and corrected the situation. He was knowledgeable, polite and did the job. It was also scheduled very promptly.

Description of Work: Extended outside line for connecting the water hose, it was copper. The $99.00 deal I thought would cover this because it was to have a$200.00 value. I explained that at the time of appt what I needed. When the serviceman came out to do the work, he Never mentioned the cost would exceed the amount nor the price in general. I paid over $350.00 addt'l fee so basically this cost me over $500.00! As a senior with limited income, this was not good business practice. Plus he never bothered to reattach the front and backyard garden hose.

Description of Work: I have long wanted to install a local hot water circulation pump in my upstairs bathroom to avoid wasting gallons of cold water before it runs hot. Many plumbers I contacted did not seem aware of the product (i.e. a local rather than central recirculating system)or willing to install. Dale Plumbing were familiar with the ACT D'MAND KONTROL system and installed it for me, despite the fact that my bathroom pedestal sink was not optimally designed to house the pump and control switch. | |I was disappointed they would not give me credit for Angie's special pricing saving $100 on a service call, as they said this was not a service call. I also think the amount charged ($1,400) was high, for a 1.5 hr job installing a $800 product but I am very pleased with how the product works and getting hot water to my bathroom sink without wasting a lot of cold water.

Description of Work: Dale came out right away. The plumber was terrific and did both jobs quickly and well. I would certainly use Dale again and was glad tobe introduced to them thru an Angie's special.

Description of Work: This was a special discounted offer. | |Although the repairman was polite, clean and seemed to know what he was doing (I have no complaints on the new faucet install in the garage), I have definite issues with the work done on the house toilet. | |I live in an older home and most of the bathroom fixtures are at least 30 years old. The toilet was running in the bath. The repairman's first response was get a new toilet. I objected adamantly. I have fixed similar problems myself and it is usually quite simple. The repairman explained it was old and there may be trouble getting parts. OK, I understand I said but give it a try. He said he'd try but ..... After 15 minutes or so he said he thought it should be alright. At that time he said it was probably a good decision on my part not to replace the toilet because he would have had to pull a permit which would have automatically initiated a required a possible upgrade of the whole houses plumbing. Why didn't he tell me this when he originally suggested a new toilet!!! The toilet still runs!!
