C&A brown fixed our 20 year old Thermador oven. We had a hard time finding someone that was knowledgeable about fixing thermador a and even Thermador didn’t have any local recommendations. C&A was easy to book an appointment, came out and fixed the issue by replacing the igniter and all is good in the world again. Reasonable rates and friendly company to work with. Highly recommend.

Rich re-configured our clothes washer and it has worked again ever since! He also gave us tips to avoid similar problems in the future. We got a price the next day on replacing the hinges on our oven door, which is why the oven has been losing heat, but have decided against replacing them because the manufacturer's cost for the needed parts package is too high.

The office was prompt in returning my call and keeping me informed as to time tech would arrive. The tech was extremely competent and explained everything to me in terms i could understand. I was very pleased with the service.

Excellent company. Professional, prompt, knowledgeable. It started with Susan, who answered my email query here on line, and with whom I talked on the phone. Her responses were prompt and informative, with no run-around. She told me that she would have to check on the installer's availability and got back to me the same day. On the day of the work to be done, she called me, first thing in the morning, as promised, to give me the installer's ETA. Richard, the technician, arrived on time, and set about the work to be done. He was very knowledgeable, and did a great job. He wore booties on his shoes whenever he was in the house, was very personable, and answered any questions I had. He worked quickly and efficiently. At one point, he evaluated fixing the old dryer versus removing it and installing it with a used dryer I had in the garage, told me the cost of parts and labor for repair, which made it clear that replacing the dryer was by far the best option. He did his work, cleaned up, hauled away all the appliances. It may sound surprising to be so happy to find a service that responds promptly, arrives when they say they will, does what they promise, does it well, and does it efficiently, but that is unfortunately harder to find these days than it should be. I would use this company again and would have no hesitation recommending them.

Rich was on time, very friendly and polite, worked quickly and identified the problem right away, and gave us a great additional tip about keeping the drain holes clear. They were also very responsive and polite when scheduling the appointment - I called and left a message on a Wednesday morning, Susan called back a couple hours later and they were able to come out for the repair on that Friday. Would definitely recommend C & A Brown Co, and if we need any other appliances repaired, they'll be the first folks we call!

The dryer was extremely noisy. Rich showed up with the right part already and fixed it. I thought it was a loose bolt in the back, which was completely wrong, so I am glad I didn't open it up myself. Now I can keep my hearing.

The best service I have ever had. The technician was courteous and provided information and tips to help us. Came in and went to work on the dishwasher immediately. He know exactly what to look for and gave us advice on whether it would be worth repairing or replacing the appliance, and what to look for if we needed to replace it. He worked quickly.

I have had them come out a couple of times and they were excellent. They were prompt, knew their business, and they explained everything. I would use them again.

Overall, the service was fine. Very courteous, punctual and based on our conversation over the phone, had brought a replacement pump. The dishwasher was working when they left. However, the next time I tried to work it, the electrical keypad wasn't working. I did talk to them, and thought we figured it out. But I am still having intermittent problems. At this point I don't want to put more money into a 9 year old dishwasher. So not sure I would have them out again to try to fix this. I find it suspicious that I am having keypad problems right after they were here and had never had a problem beforehand. I don't know if it just a coincidence, so I won't downgrade their rating at this point. Their pricing isn't cheap, but would have been worth it if I had gotten a few more years of use...

Richard provided the estimated cost of the replacement part, versus the "work-around" solution for our washer. Of course, I chose the less expensive "work-around" solution. Both the appointment on the phone and the service visit were courteous, professional and friendly. I'm very appreciative, and will call on this company again without reservations.

Our 30 year old Chambers electric double oven was misbehaving. We were given a time window of between 2 & 4:30, and Rich showed up promptly at 2:00.He pinpointed the problem and fixed it straight away. While he was here, I had him look at our gas cooktop because one burner wasn't igniting. He fixed that too. He is great, honest and reasonable. A pleasure to deal with. No reason to look anywhere else for appliance repairs.

I'm new to Angie's list, but I had to write a glowing review for Rich at C&A Brown. He fixed a broken gas stove and a broken clothes washer for me a couple of years ago. Both times he was prompt, courteous, and was able to figure out the problem and fix it quickly and for a really fair price. I highly recommend him for appliance repair.

Richard is WONDERFUL. He is very knowledgeable, quick, fairly priced, and uses a dropcloth! I can't say enough good things about this company. Just as a side note, my previous repair person took a look at my washng machine, didn't know what was wrong with it, wasn't interested in fixing it. Richard has my business from now on.
