SVN Construction Group Inc. just completed the 2nd of two jobs for the remodel of my condominium. The first job was to remove the acoustic ceiling. The second job was to paint my condo. As with the first job, Val and his partner did excellent work. Not only is it beautiful but they are a pleasure to work with. They painted the entire place, including the kitchen cabinets. Originally, I planned to stay with a friend while they painted. But Val said it wasn?t necessary. And he was right. They cleaned up everyday and it was very comfortable and livable. Also, they were good to my old dogs! I had a hard time picking out colors. Val was very patient with my last-minute color changes. I also bought the wrong hinges and he graciously went to Home Depot and picked up the right hinges. SVN did the work within the estimated time and cost. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I had a few nightmare experiences with contractors in the past. So setting out on this remodel I was nervous and concerned. But Val and his partner made it extremely easy. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again!

They came out within a week of purchasing the Big Deal. I would recommend them. The quality was good. They did everything I asked them to do. He came when he said he would come and did the job in the time he said it was going to take. Unfortunately he mainly spoke Spanish and I didn't speak Spanish so I had to use an interpreter.

The two contractors, Val and Stan are fantastic. This project required tying together projects we had started but could not finish. Both of them listened carefully to our concerns and made reasonable and appropriate suggestions along the way. The texture changes and paint gave our kitchen just the right finishing touches! Their work was very high quality from much experience, and they paid great attention to detail. Val and Stan are also very professional. All of our calls were met with quick response times, and they both arrived as stated and worked in a neat and tidy fashion. They were also friendly and pleasant with our often chaotic household including kids, pets and the holiday season! We give them an enthusiastic A and already plan to use them again for our next home project!

SVN Construction Group is terrific. Val and Stan are friendly, punctual, detail-oriented, and very hard-working. Although they work fast, they do not rush or take shortcuts with their work. My wife and I hired them to paint our kitchen, along with some smaller jobs. They communicated with us throughout the job and always showed up to work on time. Both guys listen well and will offer suggestions, but they are not pushy with their opinions. Finally, their work is outstanding. I am very picky when it comes to painting, and I have no complaints about their work. The quality is excellent. We are extremely pleased and have since hired them to paint the exterior of our home, too!

They were really professional and nice from the first moment when they came to give me a quote. They worked fast, did a great job, and were patient with my indecisiveness over paint colors. I'm very happy with what I paid and the quality of the finished work. I have plans to use them again for my entire house. I would recommend them, very nice and talented guys!

The second job is to paint my condo once the other work has been completed. From the beginning of my dealings with SVN, they were very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. First of all, Val Velev responded immediately to my Angie’s List estimate request. He spent a great deal of time with me explaining the processes and giving me suggestions as to what should/needs to be done. He educated me on the best order in which the jobs of my remodel should be done for optimum efficiency and cost. Secondly, I had a very tight timeline for which to have the acoustic ceiling removed. But most importantly, he is a very nice guy. SVN did the work within the estimate time and cost. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up after themselves. During the process Val gave me updates as to their progress. This was very reassuring to me that the project was moving along and is an example their integrity and professionalism. They made me feel that this was their only job! I highly recommend SVN. My neighbors have already asked for his card. I’m excited to have them back to paint once the flooring is installed.

Val did a great job staining our brand new garden window. I would highly recommend him!

Val and Stan were great! Responded immediately to request for quote. Very easy to deal with. Did an excellent job and were incredibly detail oriented. They started and finished on-time. Everything looks great! I would definitely use them again for any job we needed for the house. They are very professional as well as being very personable.

They were timely and very professional. I have found over the years that the biggest part of a good paint job is good preperation of the walls and surfaces. They clearly know how to do this. They are also very skilled at laying on the paint. They had good input and suggestions regarding types and paint colors and provided paint at their contractor discount rate. They were a pleasure to work with. While they are not the cheapest painters they provide excellent value for the high quality service that they provide. I would be happy to use them again in the future.

They were great. We took advantage of one of the specials that Angie's List had. They were very neat and they looked out for our personal belongings. They did not just damage anything. They were clean and thorough. They just did a great job. There were no negatives about the service. They were very polite and we are going to use them again.

Purchased a deal to paint one room for $99 and I chose one of my bathrooms for this task. The area above the shower was peeling and the provider said that it needed to be sanded and primed and that he would have to return at least once and maybe twice because it would not dry in time to finish in one day and would therefore cost an additional $250. Because of the extra time and effort I agreed. However it turned out that he managed to finish in one day and did not have to return at all, but still wanted the entire $250 extra. Since this price was based in part on his having to return at least once and maybe twice it obviously should have been adjusted when these eventualities did not occur. However he did do an excellent paint job.

They were amazing! Brought the paint I wanted in the color I had picked (I paid for the paint separately but they took care of going to the paint store, having it mixed and bringing it with them), moved and covered all the furniture, patched all the nail holes, the job was really good, they were prompt, courteous, clean and tidy. I'd definitely use them again, and for other jobs, too; as well as painting they do construction. Nice young men from one of the former soviet states, I think it was Belarus? Sorry if I got the country wrong, Valentin! But they were so professional, and the entire job took less than half a day!

They were willing to do the walls that were in good shape (not in need of repair), and I got most of what I needed done in one day, which was very helpful. They were very pleasant to deal with.

They did an outstanding job. I am very happy with the whole process. Valentin contacted me right away to set up a date for them to do the work. In addition, he came by ahead of time to take a look at the water damaged walls and quickly assessed that it was an easy fix. Valentin returned messages quickly and was able to work around my work schedule. He also helped me choose a paint color and brand of paint. The paint job came out great and I am very happy with the results. I will definitely hire them again.

Val and Stan are excellent painters; I wish all construction people were as professional as them; they have good attention to detail, do great preparation of the walls, and then produce an excellent result. They are nice, funny (in a good way), quiet, respectful, clean up after themselves and are very neat painters. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

I bought a Deal (1 room painted for $99). They were on-time and worked quickly to prep the room, including fixing holes and removing remnants of tacky adhesive. Being a kitchen, the walls also needed to be sanded so the semi-gloss paint would adhere properly. I provided the paint but they offered to buy it and apply their contractor's discount. The entire job from start to finish was done in 4 -hours, which included 2 coats of paint, and the floors were cleaner than when they arrived!! The quality of the painting looks great and well worth the cost. I'm in the process of cleaning and sprucing up my parent's old house to put it on the market and have been painting the rest of the house but applying semi-gloss paint correctly is a pain and time consuming. I'm considering having them return to paint all the door trim, doors, and closet doors.

I am so happy with how my bedroom looks. Valentin and his associate did a great job. They were professional, on time, very neat and my room looks great. I have already contracted with them to do additional work for me. Valentin did a great job explaining all the paint finish choices available and was very patient with my questions. I feel confident recommending them and look forward to working with them again.

They responded very promptly and wanted to set up an appointment at my convenience. Professional, cordial, very neat and clean when they were doing work. Answered any questions I had and were able to teach me a lot during the service. I highly recommend them to anyone.

These guys are truly fantastic painters. Val can cut a line like no other. The job looks great! Very professional, very fair pricing, very nice, and excellent painting work. I already have plans to use them again.

I couldn't have asked for better timing for this Angie's List deal. I've owned this house for 20 years and finally decided on a color for the spare bedroom. It all went very smoothly from the initial contact to completion of the job. Since I had included my cell phone number in the email to get some questions answered, SVN contacted me the same day and gave me the answers. They arrived promptly and worked quickly until the job was finished. They ventilated the room while painting and there was very little chemical odor afterward. The room looks better than it ever has, and I'm very pleased.

Every time I leave or come home - I take a step back and MARVEL over the amazing job that Stan, Valentin and Nikoly of SVN Construction Group, Inc. did transforming my 1950s bungalow into the Cape Cod of my dreams! I went onto Angie's List looking to redo the exterior of our home that we purchased from some first time flippers who attempted to give it a Mediterranean look. Since the work we needed was purely cosmetic, we needed a perfectionist - someone who understood the importance of the details. We found SVN and decided to schedule for them to come out for an estimate. They answered the phone right away, were able to accommodate a Sunday appointment (this is the only time I'm home) and arrived on time. The walk through went well - I explained my vision and Stan told me he could definitely deliver. He told me they specialize in finish carpentry and painting AND do the work themselves, I appreciated this as most general contractors out there specialize in everything but end up subcontracting out. Stan sent over the bid promptly the next morning and quoted me a very fair price that was less than I had expected. He seemed as though he wanted the work which was important to me since other contractors seemed too busy or just not interested. They were able to start right away and worked without a break for almost two weeks (in the heat) installing all new fascia boards, window trim, door trim, custom wainscoting in the entry, hardie shingle panels to an accent wall and painting the entire exterior a total of three colors plus the front door. Although this was just a face lift, the job was no simple task - every single inch of our house is crooked and un-level which requires a lot of maneuvering and creativity to make things appear to be straight. However, these guys worked through it without ever mentioning any issues or whining of the unexpected difficulties. They were even patient with us when our indecisiveness on paint colors delayed the project a bit. Their work and attention to detail really impressed us - these guys really take pride in their craft! All the seams of where one piece of wood met the other was filled in and sanded to perfection and each paint line crisp and clean. Their devotion to their work and their taking care of every little aspect of the job made me feel like this was the BEST money I'd spent. Great work and great guys to have in your home! I have been referring them to all of our friends and neighbors as well as lining up more projects for them to do.

Working with SVN has been an extremely positive experience, so much that we are hiring them to come back to do more work soon. We worked with a General Contractor who is a friend and asked him to find us a finish carpenter who is an "artist" - we got that with Nick and his partners Val and Stan. Beyond excellent patchwork and painting with very fine detail, these guys built us a cabinet for new VC, built and installed custom handrails for our staircase, built and installed trim elements for our bathroom - and perhaps most importantly, did an exceptionally job of turning our old plastered ceiling beams into works of art with reclaimed wood. All in all, their attention to detail, expertise and ability to work hard and get it right is as good as it gets. Beyond that, they are extremely thoughtful, polite and fun to be around. The whole time they were on site, my 9 month pregnant wife (who was baking in the summer heat) enjoyed their company while they worked... Hire these guys and you will get a friendly crew who know their stuff and deliver on time and on budget. A++ to SVN!

The professionals at SVN were a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process and we couldn't recommend them highly enough! We spoke with numerous companies prior to commencing our project and the team at SVN were prompt, professional and very fair in their quote. However the main reason we decided to hire them was that we decided they were the most experienced team we had spoken to, an observation that was confirmed throughout our project. These guys really know their stuff! Negotiation of the contract was simple and they performed the contract to the letter and to our complete satisfaction on time using quality materials and paint. There were no additions or surprises to the original contract, except for work we requested to be added given the quality of the work they had done. We worked directly with the professionals we hired, they did not sub-contract out the services or bring in additional people. They worked with our schedule, were prompt and hard working throughout the entire day. They would handle all the furniture movement, protected everything, and every night before they departed they cleaned and swept the work space leaving it livable and safe for our family and pets. The work product was outstanding- the woodworking was performed with meticulous detail and the painting was completed with precision and sharp lines without reliance on tape. They fully prepped all walls (patching, sanding, smoothing) and areas that needed drywall work appear flawless. They were also willing to share suggestions and thoughts on how to do things, but would leave the final decision to us. We had a great experience with the team and would use them again for any project. While they are a newer company, these professionals are clearly very experienced and we are very satisfied we used them for what we would consider a major project for our house.
