They gave me an estimate while I was in escrow for my home. They performed the work post closing and I have not had any problems with the work. I did not need to be home when the work was completed.
Description of Work: Replaced broken roof tiles and removed and patched a satellite dish.

The contractor came to me to provide an estimate after coming over when I wasn't home to check out the size of the house. He brought samples of materials and discussed the schedule for installation. They showed up on the start day on time, had the construction permit stapled to my front porch post, put down some plastic cover over my stuff in the garage (to catch debris that fell through the roof), and stripped off the original shingle layers. Everything (with the exception of one or two roofing nails) was dropped into a big trash truck and hauled away. At this point, the project lead (not the original contractor that gave me the estimate) pointed out that they had delivered the wrong shingles - the ones going up the conveyor belt on my roof were a higher quality, but same color - and they would be happy to let me have them for another $400 on the contract. Or, they could take them away and bring new ones out the next day, which would delay the end of my project for a day. So, I went with the upgrade and the additional $$, even though I was a bit pissed off about it. The next day, they finished stripping the old roof and started on the new one. By the time I got home from work, most of my new roof was on. The next morning, the new roof was completed, the city inspection was done, and my roof looked fabulous. About the unexpected increase in cost: it didn't happen. The original price quoted was what I paid to my contractor - HE DIDN'T PASS ON THE COST OF THE HIGHER QUALITY SHINGLES. I guess he thought it was their fault that the wrong product was delivered, so they ate the cost. Worked for me!!
Description of Work: Remove two layers of asphalt shingle and re-roof entire house.

From the time we told Gary that we wanted to proceed, it took a long time to get him to start. For a while I had considered using another contractor, but his price was good enough that I thought it was worth the wait. Once he started he was extremely professional. The roof was removed and replaced within a week. He made sure that the house was never in danger of water damage during the construction. Before he started work he let me know that during the process of removing the existing tile that up to 25% of the tiles would be broken. At first I thought his price per tile to replace them was high, but I called around to roofing supply yards and verified that his price was actually very good. The only change orders to the contract were for the extra tiles (much less than 25%) that were needed. In summary, if you are not in a hurry to get started, Suncoast is a great company to work with.
Description of Work: Suncoast removed the existing clay tile roof from my 2,000 sf home, replaced the underlayment, then replaced the tiles with the tiles that he had removed.

THEY WERE EXCELLENT. THEY DID EXCELLENT WORK, AND WE RECOMMENDED THEM TO FRIENDS. THEY CAME AND GAVE US A BID RIGHT AWAY, AND THEY CAME WITH SAMPLES AND CHOICES THE NEXT DAY. THEY ASKED US WHAT OUR SCHEDULE WAS. WE TOLD THEM WE NEEDED TO START THE NEXT DAY, AND THEY WERE HERE.
Description of Work: IT WAS REPLACING A ROOF ON THE HOUSE AND THE GARAGE.
