I called for an appointment, and was given one for the next day. When the time came, I got a call from the technician saying he would be 30 minutes late. Unfortunately, I could not wait that long, so we rescheduled for another day. The technician arrived on time and completed the work efficiently.

Great service. We have been wanting to fix these items for some time. Thank you!

He originally estimated the project was going to cost $441.00 and I thought that seemed very high for the amount of time it was going to take. He brought the price down to $245.00 after I told him I thought that his original estimate was too high. He informed me that it had to be at least 2 hours of work, so he was forced to take his time doing everything.

They did a great job and finished within the time estimated.

We had this company do some handyman work which we were very happy with. We asked if they did painting and they said yes. We were quoted a 1/2 day of labor to paint 3 rooms which sounded like a great deal. It didn't work out that way. At 1/2 day, not even 1 full room was painted. We ended up paying for 1 days labor and all that was painted were 2 rooms and one of them was not painted very carefully -- there are places where the old paint shows through because the coat was too thin that was put on.

I called the Mr. Handyman number, and a very helpful and friendly operator took my job description and made an appointment. The day before the appointment, the owner called me to tell me the name of the technician who would be doing the job and to confirm date and time. The technician showed up right on time. Before starting, he explained possible difficulties with the lighting job, and how he would overcome them. He worked throughout the day, and conducted the job smoothly and competently, with good attention to detail.

Arrived on-time at 8:00 am on 27 December. Agreed on what needed to be done and went to get the materials. Returned at 9:00 am and began to build the gate. He worked very steadily. 10:45 am finished making the gate. His carpentry was very good. 12:30 am finished hanging and painting the gate. The Gate fit very well and opened and closed smoothly. He had some trouble with the painting but the end result was good. He cleaned up after he finished.

Came in a timely manner, their prices were reasonable, and I will be using them again.

The project went poorly: communication between the homeowner and project manager was poor; homeowner paid for work that was not done, worker put his hand through the ceiling and project manager neglected to contact homeowner to apologize and discuss corrective action. Overall, the company was untrustworthy.

Mr. Handyman returns calls promptly and can usually do the work with a few days notice. They show up as promised and do call if they will be running late - unusual for a contractor! They do excellent work and are pleasant and efficient. In general, I have found this a worthwhile trade off for the very high rate they charge.

This work took him 2 days and 4 hours each day. He did a great job, but was over charging me. There was only one person doing the work. He did show up on time.

This particular subcontractor did much more talking than working (I heard most of the his life story in the hour-and-a-half he was here); his work was sloppy, and he wasn't a nice person, to put it politely. HOWEVER: When Steve, the owner of this particular Mr. Handyman, heard about my problems with his employee, he was completely apologetic: he offered full restitution of my costs; explained that this subcontractor was new and had been let go due to similar complaints; and then sent me a lovely letter apologizing again and enclosing coupons to be applied to any future work done by his company. So, while I can't make a reliable assessment of Mr. Handyman's work based on this experience, I can say that the owner is a really sincere guy who'll go above-and-beyond to make sure his clients are happy with the work they get done. That's a rare quality, and it makes this Mr. Handyman branch worth hiring.

Final costs were within $30 of original estimate. Problem solved issue with ceiling fan/vents. Worker was on time, called before arriving, worked efficiently and completed job timely. I would definitely hire this company again and in fact have referred them to neighbors and friends.

Excellent. I got an immediate response to my inquiry for services, appointments were set up and timely kept. I always received a phone call prior to worker arriving. Costs were per estimate. Worker was polite, on time, efficient and thorough. The worker problem solved a last minute issue with the stove ceiling fan. The job was completed faster than I thought. I felt comfortable leaving worker in my home while I was at work. I definitely will hire Steve Biehler's Mr. Handyman business for future work and will recommend him to my friends and family.

I thought that they were excellent and fair as far as their price. They got the job done really fast and cleaned up their mess. I felt comfortable having them in my home because they were so professional.

It was a good experience from start to finish. The phone call to set the service appointment was excellent. Gina was clear and friendly and thorough. Then Leo arrived two days later. He was on time and did beautiful work. Very neat, clean and efficient. Later, when it was dark outside, I found that the new light fixture (which was motion and light sensitive) wasn't working properly. It wasn't Leo's fault; I had purchased the wrong fixture for the area in which it was to be installed. I called Mr. Handyman at 9 p.m. that night, reached an extremely helpful answering service (a real person) and the next day, a Saturday, Steve Biehler, the owner, called me back. He was immediately responsive to my plight and re-scheduled a service call for the following Monday. Mike arrived and the problem was fixed.

The workman arrived at the scheduled time and was friendly and pleasant. He explained how he would handle each job, and he completed each task promptly in an efficient way. He encouraged us to check each job out to be sure we were satisfied. (We were!) He left everything neat and clean, too. We were very pleased with the work done and the friendly approach.

Mike arrived on time and worked steadily (no lunch break) for 8 hours. He was pleasant and cleaned up after himself. He also spent some time advising me on some other possible projects for the future.

The Handyman painter painted the garage but broke the timer for the automatic sprinklers. The company has yet to reimburse me for the cost of repair for the sprinkler. There were some very rude letters sent by the manager, Bill Mulgrew. Wouldn't use them again. I am a real estate agent and am telling clients that Mr. Handyman is very irresponsible.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. I WAS HAPPY TO FIND A COMPANY THAT WOULD DO ODD JOBS, NOW I AM VERY HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND ONE THAT DOES A GOOD JOB.

Technician was always on time, very polite, professional. The front door turned out to be more work than they had originally thought, so the tech had the owner come out take a look, and they remedy the situation by having a specialist come out to finish the work on the original quote. I was very pleased with the work, and would definitely use them again for future work. They aren't the cheapest, but I think they are worth the extra (but not a lot extra) money.

The repairman, Michael came right on time and did a good job. It took just over two hours, and he also advised me on how to repair another problem myself as well as giving me an estimate of how much it would run if he did it.

They sent out someone that did not know anything about sodering. The job took much longer than it was supposed to. I was without water over two nights. They were late every day. The technician that came was dirty, and didn't use a proper drop cloth while working. I'm still picking up pieces of soder that got in the carpet. I think that the cost was excessive, they gave me the wrong estimate in the beginning. The job should have only taken 5 to 6 hours.

Chris came to do the job and was very prompt and courteous. He did a great job, and I would use his service again.

Mr. Handyman of the South Bay resolved a possible fire hazard in my home. The electrician was competent and experienced. I feel 100% satisfied and safe! Thank you.
