Gary was a pleasure to work with. Very professional and friendly, upfront about pricing. Appreciate that he is an honest local guy with a very hardworking and dedicated crew. I could leave them for the day trusting everything in their hands. Project stayed on schedule and budget, Gary went the extra mile to perfect my crooked kitchen cabinets, hang new lighting and ceiling fan, door and cabinet hardware as well as visited the project personally to ensure all details were taken care of. I would highly recommend GK painting for anyone who wants someone that will take the extra care and time to put an eye towards detail while being mindful of schedule and budget. I very much appreciate the work Gary and his team were able to accomplish it really made our house feel like a home.

The cost was a little over my original budget, but in the end, it was well worth it.

Gary and his crew do excellent work especially the prepping before the painting is started. He is very good at keeping you informed while the work is being done. His workers show up on time and always clean up at the end of the day. He is easy to get a hold of if you have any questions while the work in in progress. His written proposals are detailed as to the material and labor being used. I would definitetly consider using him again and would refer him to friends for future jobs . He also makes excellent lentil soup.

We recently had 12 windows replaced by another contractor. We hired GK Painting to come in and do the interior trim around the windows and paint them after they were installed. Gary chose the right moulding to fit the character of the house. Once again he did a fantastic job.

Gary provided an estimate in a timely manner. He was very professional. He and his crew are very hard workers, they are also very clean. We've had many contractors who have done work at our house that have left us with such a mess to clean up but GK Painting did not do that. They also took great care when going through our house, which we really appreciate. The interior work I needed was painting some areas in the bathroom that were unreachable due to our high ceilings. We also have t&g ceilings in the master bedroom, one area needed caulking and we needed some paint on a couple door mouldings. We also needed a couple touch ups in the kitchen. Everything went smooth and the job was completed on time. Most importantly, the job was done right!

EXCELLENT SERVICE! You won't be disappointed. Gary is very professional, he does quality work! He has an eye for detail and he works as if it were his own. In addition to some exterior painting and some stucco patches and caulking on the side of our house and front patio area, Gary built wood doors for our garden arbor and also installed the arbor. The work came out beautiful. Gary listened to what I wanted, looked at some photos I sent him and was able to provide what I wanted. I can be very particular and yet Gary was patient with me during the process.

Because it was a new home purchase, we wanted to get a painter in there prior to full move-in. Basically, start and finish ASAP, which is almost unheard of in the world of contract labor. Gary met me Wednesday to walk through and estimate, and even though he was hesitant because he is primarily a South Bay area painter, he agreed to do the work in Cypress. Then, Gary and his crew started Saturday morning and worked tirelessly to Wednesday to finish everything, including an extra trip back to fix some paint bubbling that required re-prime and re-paint, due to some defect in the walls of one of the bedrooms. His crew was exceptionally clean, covered everything prior to start, and worked efficiently. Every time I stopped by unannounced, they were always hard at work. Gary especially is an experienced painter and answered all of my questions. He has a very good eye for paint details and some of the tricks you can do to enhance your home's visual impact. He was also very communicative, by phone and text. If he was busy, he let you know and always followed up. Even though the cost was higher than I was expecting, there were extra costs I wasn't expecting in my initial budget (like the need for overtime and how much extra labor it takes to clean and paint things like cupboards and ceilings). It was worth every penny.

Gary always does a great job.He's very informative in what he's doing. If things are not going to work as See it in our minds or if he thinks we should make changes he's very good at explaining why. Gary doesn't gloss over things , he really lets us know what's going on with our things .He's prompt, courteous and if we ever have a concern he's always willing to work something out with us . We are always satisfied with The end result if not blown away.

After an existing painter didn't work out, we hired Gary for a very detailed staining/painting project that we needed completed fast. We needed a painter to stain 2 interior barn doors using a 4 step process to match our wood floors. He was super conscientious and he was able to complete the project within a week. The barn doors and dressers look great!

It went well guys were very professional they looked like they knew how to paint. I had them paint our bedroom and two bathrooms at a accommodating price. It took them a few days as expected and the end result was real nice thanks a lot for the hard work GK Painting.

It went very well. We had used GK painting before to paint the interior of our home a couple of years ago. He and his crew changed the look of our dark stain finished cabinets into crisp white paint finish. I cannot say anymore great things about this company, very happy with the end results, like always. His work is top notch. I already have referred him to three of my neighbors who also are very happy. Just want to say thanks to Angies list to help us find this gem.

I asked for an estimate for painting the exterior wood trim on our three-unit condo building. Gary came to our location. He was right on time for the appointment. He took a look around, was very pleasant and professional, gave me the run-down of what needed to be done and sent his estimate via email punctually. We didn't choose GK because his estimate was a little on the high side (among 3 other contractors) for our HOA budget.

This is my second job with GK Painting, and they did complete and high quality work as usual.

After the original painter I hired flaked, I called Gary to find a painter who could complete a job within two days. Gary and his team came to the home and painted the kitchen. Gary ended up recommending a different process/paint than the original painter had suggested, so the price was higher than the original painter. But, I trust Gary's judgment and the kitchen now looks spectacular. I appreciated Gary helping me out in my "painting emergency" and for pointing out the best paints to use, best process, etc. His workers were punctual and very professional.

Complete preparation and painting of window trims, door trims, wooden gates, and garden walls. The workers are diligent, experienced and professional. High quality work from preparation through clean up.

Gary and his team are incredible professionals - they are responsive, get the job done on time, and take the extra time to do it right. Their work is very professional - the prep, the detail around edges and molding, the clean-up - all great. Second time using them and will use them again for all my paint projects.
