As he has done on several previous jobs for us, Mike did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. He was conscientious about quality of the job as well as clean up afterward. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

Michael gave us a reasonable estimate and was punctual for all meetings. With the help of his assistant, he built the fence in 2-3 days and was clean and thorough. This was not a major project, but Michael treated it with the same level of respect and interest. The fence looks great!

We live on a corner and needed a simple yet aesthetically pleasing fence and we could not have done it without Michael. He was responsive, professional and he didn't change his bid even when we ran into a bit of a design snag and delay due to slope/grading issues and city fence height restrictions.(we took care of him after the fact). We have had many compliments on our fence from our neighbors and I actually just recommended him to one of them this afternoon!

Michael was very helpful in providing us solutions to our cabinets to be refinished by another contractor. He even help us to make the appropriate decision to research the most economical solution for our hinges. Keep up the honest and good work, Michael.

Michael is skilled, professional, cooperative, and confident. I particularly appreciated his willingness to listen thoughtfully to what I was asking for and suggest approaches to the job that minimized the time and expense involved.

Michael was responsive and overall excellent to work with. He arranged for a good time to start that was mutually agreed upon. The work was done on time and on estimate. It was a good job and on time.

Whole job took 1 1/2 days. Mike did an excellent job and produced exactly the results we wanted. He was efficient and very dependable-showed up when he said he would and performed as promised. He has done several other jobs for us and has never failed to satisfy.

The work was scheduled and completed on time. Michael is very knowledgeable, competent, efficient and neat. As the fence was going up, Michael asked for any input that I might have.I appreciated that very much. He treated the new fencing with a termite water proofing solution to enhance and increase the longevity of the wood. The fence is a very pretty addition to our yard. Michael did a very good job, he certainly knows how to build a fence. All of the material not used was left for me.

This is the second time that we've hired Mike of Dela Woodworks, and we will definitely hire him again. Mike is super. He does an excellent job of communicating with the customer in a timely manner, he is punctual, and he's a great carpenter. I got to see Mike in action this time since I was working along side him, and his experience and skill are readily evident. He approached the handrail installation in a much different manner than I would have, and it resulted in a faster and better job than if I had done it myself (as I had originally planned). I have tremendous confidence in him, and I can recommend him without reservation.

We contacted Mike via e-mail, sending him pictures of our front porch that needed to be replaced due to termite damage. He called us in a day or two and we arranged a date for him to stop by to view and talk about the work. Mike looked under the porch to check the integrity of the house beams and then reviewed the options in wood, treatment, and what we planned(paint or natural). Mike's estimate for the work was very reasonable, we liked his approach and plan and agreed to a start date. The weekend before the start of the work, Mike brought the wood to our house and treated it. The work was completed in a few days and we are totally happy. Mike is punctual, neat with work and clean-up, and he answers questions easily and honestly. I had asked him about why he built the steps the way he did(which was different from the original). He explained the reasons and demonstrated his explanation by going up and down the steps and yes, he was absolutely correct. We liked the fact that he did what was correct and didn't copy the original. We would definitely recommend and hire Mike for future work.

Found this contractor on Angie's List. Was not in "yellow pages", where I looked first. Left message on answering machine, and owner Michael called back the next morning. He came that week to take measurements, etc., and submitted a bid the next day. He was best price and could start the following week. He and crew started on time, did a good job and finished a day earlier than expected, even though I had some particular access problems for them to deal with because of traffic patterns in the neighborhood. I recommend him to anyone who needs wood fence work.

I was a little skeptical at first about Michael and Dela Woodworks at first because I couldn't find his company anywhere in the yellow pages or even the white pages of the local telephone book. All I had to go on was the many glowing reports I found on Angie's List. After talking to him I was still a little hesitant about hiring him but I decided to take a chance and boy, was I glad that I did. Like reported by others who hired him, he was always available, was on the job when he said he would be, finished in the time he estimated and did great job on the deck. Workmanship on the old deck he replaced was shoddy in comparison to the one he put in its place. I am very satisfied with the work him did and it looks great.

Overall very satisfied experience and would use again. He showed up when scheduled to give us an estimate. He brought pictures and discussed our needs. We weren't sure exactly on the design. He followed up with a phone call and gave us prices on 3 different options for our design, then he gave a written estimate by fax timely. He started when he promised (about 2 weeks later) and finished on schedule (3 days.) From scheduling, it sounds like he is very busy - basically booked 2 months out for large jobs. Luckily this was a smaller job he was going to do himself (versus larger jobs where he has people working for/with him) and he was able to fit in. Anyway, he came the first day, set a post in concrete and bolted other framing to our house. Then came back the next day and built a very sturdy entryway gate. He reinforced heavily again with lots of concrete (2 rounds), bolts, etc... Then he came back the third day finished and treated the wood with protectant, and installed hardware (handles and deadbolt). He did such a good job we asked him to fix another gate that we were having problems with (the add'l cost was very reasonable). He was concerned that we were satisfied with the job he did and you could tell he took pride in his workmanship. He cleaned up after himself.

He came out and gave us a bid. He quoted us on labor per door which was $500. We kept his card, but ended up hiring someone else. The person we found was much cheaper.

Overall everything was great! Michael was very busy, but he got us an estimate right away and let us know when he could get started. Everything went as planned and right on target with his estimate. He always returned calls and was there when he said he would be, we couldn't ask for more!

Everything was excellent. His pricing was excellent. He was very pleasant. My old fence had a termite problem so we tore it down. He came right out and gave a proposal. We even changed our original plan and he was alright with that. When he wasn't able to come because of the weather he was sure to call.

Very professional, smooth and Michael kept us informed about the job being done.

Looked at job, gave estimate, showed up on time. Followed directions: shelving came out perfect per specs. Back of bookcase cut for wiring was done with absolute precision, you'd never know it wasn't built that way. Wheels on bookcase had to raise it to match height of a companion piece which already had wheels, and came out perfectly even. Very smooth steady movement, ready for heavy duty load (media system.) Custom wheels for heavy desk were difficult to fit on 1" edge. First effort didn't yield result to his satisfaction or ours so he went shopping at several stores until he found a rectangular plate for larger wheels. Returned the next day (Saturday AM) and quickly installed these perfectly. Originally we had also requested wheels for a chair, but then changed our minds. When the time to pay came he reduced his fee from the original estimate without being asked. Mike is a spirited energetic guy, a 2nd generation carpenter who communicated well throughout.

Michael came on day 1 as promised, but without a worker, as he said the worker had something come up. So Michale spent about 6 hrs. stripping the deck, but found it very difficult with the power washer we thought would remove most of it. So I went to the store to get some stain remover and the following day he had a worker help him with that. On day 3 we were still only half way done, and Michale had other projects to get to and relatives in town, so I could sense he was disappointed with the way things were going. I agreed to let him off the hook finishing the remainder and he was happy with the deposit of half the money we agreed to. He did feel bad about the outcome, but I reissued him I was really OK, as with any home improvement project you never really know what you got til you get into it.

It went extremely well. The doors look great, they turned out beautifully. Michael was helpful with suggestions, alternatives, and it is clear he is a highly-skilled carpenter.
