Michael was prompt and communicative (which I give big points for!). He was able to do the work which needed to be done without pushing to replace the whole fence. He was able to work in the timeframe that worked best for me and completed the job quickly. The workmanship is excellent and his cleanup was impeccable. I highly recommend Michael for any of your fencing needs.

Michael came out to the house on a Tuesday and spent a good deal of time, appx 45 mins, talking with my husband about what we wanted and taking measurements. We explained that job would need to be finished in one month's time. He said that he would have a quote for us by the end of the week. By the end of the week, we did not have a quote, so I gave him a few extra days and followed up by phone with him the following Tuesday. Again, he said he would have a quote for us at the end of the week. When I hadn't heard or received anything from him by Friday evening, I went ahead and called to follow up, leaving him a voicemail message. He returned the call the following Tuesday, now TWO WEEKS after the site visit, to inform us that he hasn't been able to put together a quote and wouldn't be able to do the job. For two weeks, he lead us on and wasted our valuable time. Don't have your time wasted like we had ours!

I have used Michael before (to install a new wood gate) so he was the first person I thought of when I saw the fence needed fixing. As my experience with the gate, this experience was top notch. Michael is very honest, prompt, courteous and fair priced. He did the job in one day. The new section of fence was treated with water and terminate resistant material (unlike the original fence). He replaced three posts (cemented down underground), and installed two 8 foot sections of panels. I would definitely call Michael again if needed for other related work.

we called Michael because several years ago we also needed our front porch rebuilt because of termite damage. The experience went so well with the new porch that we kept Michaels number and email for future reference. We called Michael to inquire on having a new wood privacy fence built on the property line between my home and neighbors home. We did have some questions on how to have it built. Michael said he can build the new fence in front of the old fence(for neighbor issues) and he did a wonderful job. Completed in two days approximately 60 feet of now total privacy quality wood fence. When we called the city inspector to have the permit approved the code enforcer said, "what a great looking fence". Need any work done, just call Michael he will take care of you from beginning to end of project.

I had some back and forth with neighbors on quotes and different providers, Michael was patient throughout and then delivered a price to win the job. Work was completely quickly and efficiently and we are very happy with the results.

The fence is beautiful with all 3 of us neighbors very happy with the result. Once the job was started he worked thru other construction going on and rainy days until it was completed. The price was half of what the other bids were, but the quality of work was wonderful. On his own without further charge, he treated the wood with a termite repellant.

Michael was very courteous and professional. He did excellent work, was very responsive to phone calls etc. Due to the old fencing around the gate, Michael had to come up with a clever and solid way of installing the new gate to fit in the space provided. He did all the work in 2 days. After the job was done, he did a great job of cleaning up the area. I would recommend Michael.

My did an excellent job in a timely manner. We had 1 problem with the driveway gates, but Michael took care of it right away. We couldn't be happier with the job done.

We could not have been happier with Michael's work. We showed him pictures of what we had in mind, and after discussing what we wanted and listening to his recommendations, we ended up with a great design. Our gates look very custom and are much sturdier than the gates he replaced. Quality work at a great price.. highly recommended! And yes, we plan to use him again.

Michael responded to my email communication with a phone call on the evening of the day I sent the email. He came over and took a look at the site on his way to another project that same week. We communicated in detail about timing, etc. and he provided the best quote I had seen by far for the correct concept. The only delay in the project came from our side as we needed approval from our HOA to move forward. I let Michael know that we were awarding him the job, he responded the same day and we communicated about a schedule. He was able to fit us in much earlier that I expected, he showed up on time AND prepared with all necessary supplies as well as weather and pest treated wood. He finished the gate that day, applied a final coat of the weather and pest treatment, let me know he would be back on Friday to paint the gate and left the area immaculately clean. It rained most of the day on Friday and Michael called to let me know it would not likely be a good day to paint the gate. I agreed and he said he wold be there on Saturday afternoon to finish the job. I pulled into the house at 1:00pm and Michael was just putting the finishing touches on the painting. I checked out the work and happily wrote him a check. The gate itself matches the fencing almost perfectly. The construction of the gate is quite solid. I showed pictures of the finished gate to a friend and he said, "That door alone should cost $375." I told him that Michael custom built the gate to my specifications and he couldn't believe it was so inexpensive. All around very satisfied with Michael's performance, our new gate and the price.

This was by far my best experience with a contractor: Michael returned calls promptly, showed up when he said he would show up, and completed the job in exactly the time he estimated. The quality of the fence is excellent and it looks great on both sides. His professionalism and people-skills were very much appreciated during interactions with the neighboring property owner.

Michael engineered and built creative and effective solutions to three design challenges presented by the site. His work was high quality (e.g., screws, not nails) at a very reasonable price.

Because Michael did such an amazing job with our wood fence/gate, we decided to ask him to come back to build out our back steps and front porch, which included deck, rails, posts, and painting. True to form, Michael delivered. The finished work is gorgeous! On time and on budget too. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Completely satisfied, and highly recommended!

This was our second project using Michael and we were very pleased again. This project was very tricky because of the serious slope of the yard. Michael removed the existing stair case, extended the deck and brought the stairs over the slope to a flatter landing. This made the entire area much safer but was very difficult to accomplish. Michael did an excellent job navigating the stairs down the slope and negotiating the uneven landing. As he was completing the deck, we realized we preferred a smoother finish instead of the rougher natural wood look and Michael was very professional and seemed happy to accommodate our request even though it took some extra time. The deck looks great and he had some ideas for us for final touches which we deferred for the moment and will add later. We have one more wood project around the house and will use Michael again.

Michael was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end and we would recommend him to anyone needing any wood work to use him. For all the phases of the project (discussing the project, the quote, scheduling, the work and final result), he was very professional and there were no surprises. He communicated well throughout the project and was always on time. Michael did the work himself with one man helping him some of the time. He finished the project in less than a week as he anticipated and the fence turned out better than we imagined. There were a couple tricky issues since the side of the yard slopes but as soon as we presented it Michael quickly gave us a couple options to either keep the fence flat or gradually grade with the slope and we went with the latter. This was truly one of the most stress-free projects we have ever done.

Michael was great to work with on our gate. Communication was good - he was responsive and punctual. He worked with us on a design that would match some existing gates and fences on our property. He even switched out some lumber to get a closer match. The gate works beautifully! His work shows excellent craftsmanship and attention to functionality. We could not be happier with the result!

Based on the reviews on Angie's List, I called Michael and he responded right away and came by the house to look at my fence which needed extensive dry rot repairs and replacement on one side of my back yard. He seemed knowledgeable, honest and straightforward and I liked the fact that he treats all new wood with termite prevention spray. He gave me a price, including painting, which seemed reasonable based on previous research I'd done and asked him when he could start. He was working on something else at the time, but I only had to wait a week. I didn't want a rush job, I wanted a good job and I wanted to feel good about the person doing that job. I got what I wanted. He did everything I asked and a few extras above and beyond what we initially contracted for - all for the same initial price he quoted me. I would definitely use Michael again.

I needed my fence heightened because of my neighbor's dog. Michael was very attentive and helpful in designing the fence to suit my purposes. Again he was punctual and finished on time. The fence turned out great.

Michael was professional and meticulous. We are very happy with the results. When he had to remove an old post, he came back later to fill in that hole with cement, a nice extra touch that made me feel like he'd go that extra distance to fully finish a job. We would use him again for further carpentry work.

I did really like him, I would have loved to have used him but we needed it done ASAP. He was so great about coming out and being responsive. He was very porfessional and punctual. Had it not been for the scheduling, he would have been who we hired. Dela had the best pricing, he was very fair.

I'm so glad we found Michael with Dela Woodworks! The whole experience was very positive and the end results were superb. Michael was very diligent in accommodating to meet with us and start the job around our hectic schedule. He is very professional and his knowledge of how to properly complete the job was obvious from the start. We were given a fair estimate for the requested work which didn't go over budget at the completion of the job. But most notable is the qualify of his craftsmanship! The new fence is both beautiful in our yard and nice and sturdy, very well installed. It's hard to find woodworkers and craftsmen in general who truly enjoy what they do, which is why we're going to continue to work with Michael for all our future fencing/decking needs.
