I've had the kit in my garage for two years with the intent of building it myself. After my wife got fed up waiting, I decided to hire Michael DeLaurentis. The plans for the kit turned out to be poor and not match the parts. Many of the wood parts were not in the kit. Since the kit was so old I could not get replacement parts so Michael had to use his skills to built it. His meticulous nature really showed in the end result.

The work was done great. The new gate matches our house very well. Also the repairs on the other gates were perfect. The attention to detail was nice and he painted the gate to match our house as well. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family.

Michael was very conscientious about returning phone calls. He arrived each day right when he said he would. He cleaned up each day too. He did great work and we were really pleased how everything came out.

It went pretty well. Michael did not arrive on the day promised because of mistake on his end. He showed up early the next day and was in and out in an hour.

I contacted them the week of October 29th. The owner canceled the first appointment and promised to call on Friday or Saturday of that week. I stayed home and waited for the call and he neither contacted me nor made an appointment.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Michael was great to work with, listened to us and helped us over the hurdles and decision-making. He always did what he said he would and completed the job on time as promised. The project came in exactly to the quote he provided at the beginning. He custom-built handles for all the gates when we couldn't find ones in the store that fit our style and provided his guidance and expertise at every point.

Michael returned all phone calls promptly. Prior to the work being performed, he estimated and described the work to be done in detail, showed up on time, performed the work accurately and with little mess.

He was a nice guy but, it was actually a nightmare. My husband had to redo a lot of it because the hard ware was the major problem. It was all miss matched and crooked. He claimed he was a finish carpenter but in fact he is not I would not use him again because of his failure to pay attention to details and the overall quality of the work.

Michael kept to his schedule of 3 days to finish the work. He kept the job site clean and orderly and finished on time. His craftsmanship is excellent. My neighbors that walked by arrived with constant compliments. I added a few more items to the work to be performed and he responded with a can-do attitude and priced the changes very fairly. He is very pleasant to work with and I will hire him again on future projects. You can rely absolutely on what he says.

Michael returned all calls promptly. He's very busy but shows up on time. He was able to solve many issues while installing the base molding. My walls and floors were not always level but this was not a problem for his skill level. He also worked with me on solving trim issues on some of my flooring (tile-wood). He's an East Coast (New York) guy so we got along great. He's very straight-forward. Good sense of humor. I'm looking forward to hiring him again to build a new closet for my bedroom and shelves for my bathroom!

They did the high level of the quality of work they did for me without even using a hammer or a nail; it was amazing. I feel as if I got definitely my money's worth. All my calls were returned promptly and all my questions were answered satisfactorily.

Michael arrived on time (8:30am) and put in a full day working. He arrived with everything he needed to do the job. Crown molding is VERY tricky to install correctly and my walls presented some challenges for him. Nonetheless, he proceeded in a very methodical way, and he had some serious woodworking tools to do it right. While he does not do painting, he was able to recommend a painter who did that part of the job, and I was pleased with him, also. It was necessary to return the next day in order to finish, and he did so, arriving early and finishing up. He cleaned up after himself, and the end result is a very well done job. All of the seams are done well, and when the painting is done, the seams will be invisible. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Mike was amazing. Very professional and prompt. I think he even met me for an estimate the same day I called him and he got to work almost immediately once I gave the go ahead. He even found an amazing plumber that replaced a leaky faucet that was one of the culprits. He was very quick in finishing the job and was very conscientious and kept the area clean and organized. I would definitely use Mike again. He's a jack of all trades and is very knowledgeable.

He was very prompt in coming to give an estimate and, upon seeing the front door was damaged, was able to work us into his schedule the next morning. He then returned to do the work on the shed door. He is prompt and professional. Seems knowledgeable. The only thing I would say is that it would be best to get a written estimate both for your and his protection. In this case, we were very pleased but written estimates are good to have for everyone's sake.

The work went without a hitch. Michael kept to his original quote to the penny. He began as promised and completed as promised. Michael stayed in communication and was very easy to work with. He created as little disruption as possible, and cleaned every day. When the job was complete, Michael cut up all the scraps so that we could dispose of them with our regular trash collection. He left the work area in immaculate condition. I was very pleased with the quality of Michael's work. The fence is perfect, the bridge awesome and the gates are impressive and solid. Everything is better then I had envisioned. I will certainly hire Michael again and highly recommend him. Michael is professional, punctual, fair and skilled.

Michael came and measured all cabinets and drawers. He gave us an estimate of the cost. When we accepted the estimate he made an appointment to begin the work. He came at the time he set. He always cleaned up after he did his work for the day. He completed the work in the time he estimated.

Mike did an excellent job for us at a very reasonable price. I especially liked the fact that he was not interested in pitching more than what we wanted or needed done; for example, a couple of contractors pushed us to replace the whole fence (at an exorbitant cost) rather than make what we considered to be reasonable repairs. Mike was very friendly, easy to work with, and very conscientious. The final cost was slightly more than the original estimate but the increase was warranted due to the scope of the work. We still got more than our money's worth and would use him again with no reservations.

From my first contact with Mike, until the end of the project, he was very polite & professional. A very down to earth guy. He was prompt in returning my emails and phone calls. He was very straightforward with what needed to be done, worked efficiently & cleaned up as he worked. We would definitely hire him again. In fact, we're currently having Mike give us an estimate on replacing our driveway gate & adding trellis work around our property.

Michael promptly answered by email, scheduled an appointment and showed up when he said he would. Did all work requested. Would highly recommend Michael, he is very professional.

I called. He called back promptly. He came within a week and made a rough estimate. He made an appointment to do the work within a week and called when he could not make it. He rescheduled and came when he said and did the work as promised promptly and with a very reasonable charge. Responsive and responsible service is what I wanted and I would recommend him highly.

Michael was very busy, but fit us into his schedule and quoted the job and completed it within 3 days. We are very happy with his work, and his degree of professionalism. I would highly recommend him.

It was a pleasure working with Mike. He was conscientious, polite, open-minded, and honest. Equally important, he knows what he is doing, and his knowledge and experience as a carpenter/woodworker are readily evident. After we agreed that he would do this work, he was sick for a few days. Fortunately, he checked in with us each day by phone until he was feeling well enough to come back to work. We were never left in the dark. We are very pleased with Mike's work, and we plan to hire him again soon.

Michael De Laurentis did a good job of the carpenter work I had done which included cornices and trim work. He was puntual; his price was reasonable, and he cleaned up after the work. I would definitely hire him for other work in the future.
