Otto Adsit Glazing

We hadn't heard from Otto by the anticipated install date so I called him. He explained that he'd had an injury to his leg and had been unable to work for a couple of weeks. He said he would do our install that same week, just a few days later than anticipated. We had other work to be done in the kitchen and the door needed to be done first so he came to do the job even though he was in some discomfort. His work was professional and we had had a recommendation from neighbors who had used him to install their new slider.

I liked Otto's style from the first time I called him. He is a general contractor but focuses only on window replacement or retrofit. He explained the difference both in looks and price. He uses Mercer products or Certainteed (now Plygem). He is prompt and communicates well - returns calls and shows up when he says he is (or calls in advance). He went the extra mile in problem solving - by integrating a part of our existing doggie door into the sliding glass door and making it look "pro". When I was ready to throw in the towel on the idea, he came up with a very cost-effective solution and saved me about $400. A very meticulous worker - he pays attention to detail and calked around the window frames as well as the trim if necessary. If an issue or question comes up, he is quick to remedy or answer. Wish all contractors/service companies were this good! We are so pleased with the results and we can already tell the difference in the way our house heats up (quickly) with the stove and doesn't lose heat so fast. The super energy efficient windows are so good that I can now have the blinds open and let the light in (before, the heat or the cold was so bad, had to keep them closed). His price is reasonable - right in there with other bidders.
