They initially seemed responsive. However, as work progressed, mistakes were made yet glossed over. ie, irregularities in sanding were noted, yet they stained over them anyway. After the overall staining was shown to be inadequate, they started again from scratch and sanded down again, only to do the same thing again, ie, irregularities in staining noted but finished over anyway. The chief honcho's responses were defensive rather than constructive [he even suggested that the irregularities were not that important as we would be covering some of them with our furniture!]. When glaring defects were pointed out to him, he grudgingly had them redone piecemeal, with only marginal improvement. The job was projected to take one week. After two weeks (during which time we had to stay in a motel), we had the insurance agent involved (it all started from water damage from a faulty dishwasher) and he took one look at the near-finished product and immediately fired these guys, despite the fact that it was the insurance people who initially recommended them. He immediately got bids from three other providers and allowed us to select the one in particular who seemed most qualified, despite the fact that his was not the lowest bid. The work took yet another week, so we were out of our home for three weeks rather than one. Incidentally, the insurance company (State Farm) was stellar through the entire process, paying our out of home expenses (motel, prorata meals, board and care for our pets) without the slightest quibble.
Description of Work: Moved furniture out of involved area (did OK) Removed quarter-round molding Sanded hardwood floors, stained and finished the floor
