Description of Work: This was a refrigerator repair (insurance covered). Chad called 10 minutes before arrival. Came in, diagnosed the problem, noticed another broken part and said he would order that as well. 5 days later our refrigerator was good as new! I will use Beacon again.

+ 1 moreTheir technician made a mistake that ultimately caused approximately $6000 damage to our home. Mistakes happen. However, people need to take responsibility for them. Our home was not back in normal condition until September. Had these folks acknowledged their culpability right away and engaged their insurance company immediately this would not have dragged out as long as it did. | |We would not be near so upset had the owners just acted quickly to investigate our concerns, and apologized for the disaster. To date, not a word that they were sorry and understood what we went through. | |I have received multiple emails from Angie's List asking about our experience. I have put off responding until now. An apology for the mistake and the subsequent delay upon delay by them and their insurance company would have probably made me post something positive. Again, mistakes happen and someone should not be ripped apart for one...if they accept responsibility graciously, that is!

+ -1 moreThey looked at our dishwasher and let us know it would be cheaper to buy a new one then fix the old one. They call you if they are running late. They will call before the stop before you. Their customer support is excellent. They can fix almost anything mechanical wise. We have used them for 25 years.

+ 0 moreThe issues is still unresolved and no resolution is in sight.
Description of Work: Beacon was supposed to respond to a warranty call for our refrigerator. The technician missed the first appointment and said we needed a part WITHOUT looking at the unit. Two days later the technician missed the second appointment and the part had still not been ordered. It is now a week later, the part still HAS NOT been ordered and no indication when it will be ordered. The technician explained to me that warranty work is “not worth” their time and does not pay enough, so they just skip the appointment with no notice to the customer.
