Description of Work: We had a GFI that kept popping. We replaced it ourselves but the new GFI popped as well. Mike came out and inspected the GFI. He inspected other outlets all was fine. He suggested it may be a breakdown of a component in our Treager. He was right! The burn coil was going bad and pulling too much electricity. Thank you Mike for helping us find the problem! You are now our go to for electrical!

He was able to solve the issue quickly, and explain in detail what was wrong, and how he fixed the issue. Wonderful! Will use Mike again, if the need arises.

+ 0 moreMike the owner and co-worker did not stop from the minute they arrived. They checked everything out as well as fixing a multitude of problems. I highly recommend Affordable Electric for any job. I have some more things that need to be done and they will be the company that I call. Being on Angies List also gave me a discount.
Description of Work: Removed all plugs in hall, masterbath, too many GFIs Replace GFI in Garage. Instatlled GFI for jet tub. Replaced two three way switches in garage. Suggested removal of T12 lights in garage to T8. Parts and labor all included. Was here with a fellow worker approximately three hours checking everything out. Had a burnt switch in attic replaced prior and they removed the burnt wiring as well and check wiring in attic. I feel my house is safer.

+ -1 moreI located Affordable Electric Services, AES, on AngiesList and called Mike Freude and told him what I needed at an affordable rate. He was more than willing to work with me in the overall price and even though I live out of town, he did not charge me for the extra fuel or travel time. I met him at my new house and even though he was working on another job, he took the time to fit me in as I was having the electric range delivered from Sears that day (today). He worked on putting 220 through my kitchen wall, wired out 40 feet to the electric panel box and added the additional 220 box and switches to the electric panel box. He ran the line outside the mobile as requested by me in a very neat waterproof plastic tubing securely attached to the house. The job was completed within an hour and I was very thankful that I hired him.
Description of Work: I needed 220 installed in my new home as I changed from a propane range to an electric range. Mike was very professional, courteous, and very eager to do a great job. He checked out where the 220 needed to be installed and ran the line out to the electric panel box. He added additional switches to the box for the 220 to the electric range. The job he did was neatly done, in good time, and all was cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely call and recommend him for future services to my home, friends, or relatives.

I called and talked to Mike about the problem. He was very prompt in looking at the situation and after he made several calls to PG&E he was able to turn what I thought was a big problem into a small problem and fixed it right away. I am extremely happy with his service. The next time I need an electrician Affordable Electric is who I will call and recommend to all my friends. The name he chose for his business, Affordable Electric, is right on.

Description of Work: Affordable Electric installed 7 new recessed l.e.d. lights in the kitchen and living room, removed the T-12 fluorescent fixtures in the kitchen and replaced with new T-8 fixtures and installed the old T-12 fixtures in the garage. Installed a new 3 light fixture over the vanity in the bathroom and installed dimmer switches for the new l.e.d. lights

Description of Work: The quality of the work was quite good, had a good experience with that. I need alot more work done and have called numerous times. Have not received a call back, months later.In my opinion, that's pretty unprofessional. Totally left me hanging and I worry every night about the safety of the electrical in my house. Maybe they are too busy to call, but I have things I need to get done and I was under the impression that they were excited aboutdoing more work. I'm going to look for someone else to to do the work that needs to be done. Sorry, just being honest, maybe it's just an oversight or the work was too complicated.

Description of Work: I first met Mike Freude, owner of Affordable Electric on a commercial project for an association I belong to. Mike's bids were very fair and complete. Mikes work was completed professionally and on time. Mike conducted a few commercial projects for the association before I used him at my home. Again, Mike responded to both big and little projects on time and within bid for my personal residence. Mike is very honest and customer concerned.
