Wonderfully. Whether is is a washing machine issue, a dryer problem, an ice maker in the freezer issue, or a compactor stopping in mid cycle, he can fix everything. At times, he has provided me with the proper solution on the phone, which allowed me to fix it myself quickly, for no charge!
Description of Work: I've used Scott for fridge-freezer, washer/dryer/compactor repair for years. He is always prompt, very knowledgeable about the intricacies of a myriad of appliances. His costs are extremely reasonable, he is very personable, and I simply couldn't recommend him any stronger!

I believe that Scott knows he is the only one in RedBluff, therefore, Scott thinks that we are kinda stuck with him. But, we aren't! My experience, called on a Thursday, before the Fourth of July. He drilled me like a sargeant on what I needed to do. I told him I had already done those things, defrosted for 24 hours, plug back in, etc. He took my model number down, told me he couldn't make it till the 5th of July. I am living out of a ice chest. Said he would be here between 1 and 3 pm. It is now 3:30, no Scott, and NO call. Hmmmmm So thinking back at my previous experience with Scott and my Maytag washer, which never came out good, ended up giving my washer away and buying a new one, $300.00 later with Scott. I have decided NOT TO LET SCOTT THROUGH MY FRONT DOOR today and forever more. I called a repairman in Cottonwood. I still have to wait, but Scott won't get my money.
Description of Work: Scott did not get to service my refridgerator.

Scott says he will call you when the part has come in. Then you call him and he says, " Can I call you back, I am driving" you say "Sure, safety first". You wait, and wait, and wait, he never calls. You leave messages, and messages at the office, he leaves you a message, you call back, he never calls you back. I have phone logs, and receipt. I gladly sign my name and would love for Scott to actually call me back and give me my $50 back.
Description of Work: Scott, of Scott's appliance came to our house, diagnosed the problem with our stove, collected $50.00. and then proceeded to play phone tag. As of this date he has not returned our calls, and has failed to fix our stove. We have since paid Sears for a service call, had the part delivered, and then had them back out to repair. Scott's appliance takes your $50 and then never returns. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOU HOME, DO NOT TRUST THEM TO CALL YOU BACK, THEY SAY THEY WILL AND THEN THEY DON'T. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I DID TO HAVE HIM STEAL OUR MONEY BUT HE DID.

8/12/09 called complaining of the ice problem in freezer. He instructed to empty the freezer and wait 3 days for a complete defrost. On the third day turn the freezer back on and he would be here in the afternoon. We lived out of a icechest during the 3 days. He walks into the kitchen and says the door is not completely shut. I looked and saw no evidence of that, but he said no the seal was not tight which is a common problem with bottom drawer freezers. He wrote an invoice $69.96 which is 30.00 minimum labor plus 39.95 which is the service call. I paid the total. One week later, the problem is back. I called 6 times within two week period. I was manually defrosting the freezer. Another week went by when I called with a threat "you need to call me today or I will be on you doorstep!" He returned my call without an aplogoy. He wants me to do the same routine of waiting 3 days for a complete defrost as mentioned above. I did not defrost, but told him to come out immediately. He said no, its impossible but will come out late afteroon the next day and would call me at work to meet him. No phone call. I went home to find a tag on my door from me "sorry I missed you". I called him said he forgot to call me. No apology from him just an offhand "Lets try it again tomorrow". FRUSTRATING! 9/8/09 He FINALLY exmined the freezer by pulling off the inside plate. "Oh the defrost timer is broken. This probably happened when the door was not sealing properly and the water froze which broke the timer internally. 10 minutes later he put another timer on and billed me 45.00 for the part (couldnt have cost him more than 5.00) plus 35.00 labor. Notice the labor cost minimum jumped from 30.00 to 35.00! My biggest complaint: He should have checked the freezer on the first visit. I trully feel scammed! My second largest complaing is the punctuallity problem. When I first called to get service he called me back within 30 minutes, but when I need a follow up visit he ignores me!
Description of Work: Replaced defrost timer
