Funk Sheet Metal Heating & Cooling

I'm not going to write a opinion statement about what I believe Funk planned, I'll just describe our misfortune and why we'll never use or recommend them: We were looking to purchase a house when the inspector said the AC didn't work. Our agent contacted Funk (the last company to service it). He said the system was fine. I went to the house with our agent. We both agreed the AC wasn't working. She called Funk and went to the house with him to confirm his work. She came back to us with a service report that said he fixed it. She verified his work. We moved forward with the purchase & added a warranty. On the final walk through, it was cool outside so when my wife asked to test the air, it felt cold. A few days later we started the cleaning & some painting. It got warm, so we turned on the AC...no cold air. We called Funk back. He went on the roof for 5 minutes, came down and said the entire unit was shot. As he left he casually mentions to my wife (who was in tears!) "At least you have a warranty." Funny...we didn't tell him we had a warranty. Also funny...our agent/broker Lori Slade suggested the warranty after she met with Funk. All of this took place the first week of June. I'm writing this today, July 28, because it's our first day with AC.
