+ -1 moreOverall, this was a bad experience from the providing of material to pack and protect my food to the way the company mishandled the tenting of the house. Not only did they do damage, but they didn't even tell me about what they obviously did. I would not recommend this company.
Description of Work: I engaged Dewey Pest Control for tent fumigation on my home. I didn't realize that Dewey would subcontract out this job to Mega Fume. But on both the Dewey part and the Mega Fume part, the services came up lacking. First, you are told to double bag all food stuffs other than that in cans and unopened glass. Dewey was supposed to drop off the special bags for the packing, which was done just prior to us leaving the house and going on a cruise vacation. When the Dewey salesman dropped off the bags, he mentioned that his water thermos had spilled on them and they were soaked. Great. I dried out the bags. When I went to pack all the food up, it soon became clear that he had only dropped off 20 bags. Since you had to double bag, the food, 10 bags was not at all enough. Because it was the weekend, I was out of luck. Because Dewey was cheap and didn't give me enough bags, I had to take the remaining food to a friend's house for storage. What a pain. In order to use Dewey's subcontractor Mega Fume, you are presented a contract that essentially allows them to destroy your home. They are not responsible for ANY damage to plants, roof, or structure. In other words, they can pretty much be as negligent as they want to be. And this is what they did with impunity. Numerous plants were crushed and others were killed by the fumes. After they crushed the furnace vent, my furnace didn't work. (Which I found out about when the gas man tried to test the furnace after the gas was shut off for the fumigation.) When the furnace repairman came out to repair the vent, he explained that the roof was missing shingles all the way down past the tar paper to the bare wood. Now I have to get the roof repaired. All of this thanks to Dewey and their subcontractor Mega Fume.

+ -1 moreIt started in the Pasadena area and has expanded since then. That's where the home office is, I think. It's pretty wide spread around here. They're pretty thorough, if you have any problems, they come back and redo an area if it's a consistent problem that's not been taken care of. We haven't had an ant problem inside our house since we've had them for 5-6 years. They were referred by another fellow worker I was with and they are satisfied with them. They spray the whole area outside and if you need inside, they will come inside and do it too. They also deal with mice, rats, and so on. They will set traps, it is real inexpensive and comparable to other pest control We've had other pest control groups, they are comparable, but, they come quickly, and take care of the problem. I will use them in the future.
Description of Work: I use Dewey Pest Control and it's local. They're here right now doing my pest control.
