BOB'S HANDYMAN & REPAIR

It seemed as if Bob was not interested in our project for whatever reason. His lack of response validates our initial impression.

Bob was awesome! He showed up on time, the cost was more than fair and he was delightful. I was curious about a do-it-yourself project I was working on and he took the time to explain me through many of the steps. A great guy, great work and I will definitely be using his services again.

He is precise, very detail oriented both in his communication as well as his contracting and I also think he's very easy to schedule with. So he publishes his schedule then kinda time it around your availability. He does a good job cleaning up so I don't have to do anything. Once he's done with his project, it's very clean.

I was impressed from the get go. After Bob first called back, he then emailed his business and profile information and warranty work statement to me, which indicated that he was a professional type person. He was assertive and knowledgeable about what he could get done, and the scheduling of the project was pretty quick. He seemed honest and professional about the transaction, which made me feel confident since this was my first use of his handyman services. He also took pictures of the issues he fixed during the job without my asking-- I was so impressed with that as well! I feel confident that Bob would do the best job he can, and would be honest in taking care of my property needs. Another thing- at the time I contacted Bob, I was out of state due to the death of a family member, so Bob was a lifesaver for sure! I will definitely ask Bob to do other jobs as I need them in the future. He's a gem!

Bob is AWESOME!!! He is extremely professional, courteous, clean, personable, and smart! Not only did he fix what we originally asked him to do but he also worked on many other odds and ends in our home. Before he came he asked for measurements and pictures which was wonderful because he knew exactly what to expect and so did we. We would DEFINITELY hire him again! It has been a struggle to find a good handy man in the area and we finally found our guy! Thanks Bob! :)

He was prompt, courteous and the job went pretty well.

Bob responded via email and follow up with a phone call the next day. He mentioned that the type of toilet that I want to install is a bit complicated (skirted toilet) and since he did not have much experiences installing them, he suggested that I contact a regular plumber who has experience with this type of toilet. I really appreciated the fact that he is honest and want to make sure that the job he does is done right. This shows great integrity on his part. I will certainly look him up next time I have a job that requires his skill.

Bob was very professional and explained everything he was going to do before repairing it. I like the fact that he put mats down on my carpet and tile floor so not to dirty them and he cleaned up after he was done with the repairs. He was able to repair everything even quicker then the time he quoted.

Bob and Martin showed up on time. We went over the projects to clarify what needed to be done. Both showed good attention to detail. Very professional behavior and consideration (e.g., donned booties over their shoes to minimize tracking of dirt in house). Bob was helpful in proposing suggestions to saving money and providing extra value (e.g., recommended not going through with one project in my bathroom because he did not think it was worth the cost and added two new electrical outlets because incremental cost was minimal for the added benefit gained). Bob showed that he was thinking in terms of what is best for the homeowner and offer suggestions that benefit the owner. I would recommend him highly and use him again.

Bob is personable, friendly, and very helpful. He made me feel comfortable and not stupid, even though I am definitely not handy! I highly recommend Bob and plan on using him in the future.

I'm fairly handy at the DIY projects, but am a great procrastinator and poor finisher. I needed to fix several small items quickly and cleanly in preparation for real estate showing. Bob had great reviews and I imagined a professional could clean up my messes. Bob arrived on time with helper Martin. It was crowded in my condo due to multiple workers and agents, but Bob was friendly to them all and started work as soon as possible. The trim around the door frame was animal damaged. With my supplied matching trim Bob was able to make very quick work of removing the old wood then fitting, installing and prepping the new trim. Quite fast. The ceiling fan was improperly installed many years ago and I asked them to set up a firmer attachment. Martin did most the work on this fan and was able to straighten and brace the fan. With popcorn ceiling work the ground became a mess that he happily cleaned up without issue. A year ago a new water heater was installed 'temporarily' to accommodate the tenet, left not to code. The morning of the work to be performed I pulled the water heater out to paint the closet. Bob re-installed the water heater properly, which included local code items I was not aware of (I usually know the codes). At end of work inspection one error was found, but we were able to correct it within 15minutes of extra work (not charged). Bob is friendly, explained much of why he was doing what he was doing. He also offered bits of advice that I as an amateur DIYer can surely use. Price for the work was fair. Would definitely use again if the opportunity comes up.

We've always wanted to have a go-to handyman for various repairs that always pop up around the house wherever we've lived. Finally found our OC handyman in Bob. Was initially tough to get in touch with primarily because he is in such demand and we were trying to set up work around the holiday. One of the things I like about Bob's service is that he charges by the hour, and not by the type of work so you can pile on the work. When came out, we did a walk-thru of all the jobs we needed done, and then he was on autopilot which was great. Bob was great in that he explained everything he was doing, and offered tips on how to do small repairs on my own to save money. Bob actually talked me out of some jobs, and offered alternative and less expensive solutions. He was professional, clean, efficient, honest, and resourceful. His time estimate was right on - was always working and not trying to drag out the work to increase final bill. Overall, outstanding service. Will only use Bob for future handyman/repair work.

He answered on my first call. He explained that he doesn't do that type of work, but he was able to refer me to someone who did.

We had two shower doors that had mold under them and needed to be removed. As soon as I contacted Bob I knew he was the guy. He was professional in answering my questions and scheduling the appointment. He showed up on time and did exactly what he said he was going to do. He had a great attitude and was just a pleasure to work with. This is the first time I've written a review on Angie's List and its a testament to how great a job Bob did.

I reached out to 3 contractors. Bob responded right away. The first job he did for me was to replace a freestanding bathroom vanity with a new one, and to install a new faucet. He did a fine job, with a great attention to detail. He also took the time to show me exactly what he did. I was so impressed that I asked him to do another job - patch several drywall holes. He came back the next day and did a great job. And he also fixed a hole in a door that saved me from having to buy a new door. Overall he did two great jobs at a reasonable price.

Excellent work. Bob is a craftsman and take great care and pride in his workmanship. Always neat, very clean and he works quickly and efficiently to maximize your investment in his time. I would highly recommend Bob to anyone looking for assistance.

Excellent, high quality work and service! I highly recommend this company and these skilled technicians. Both Bob and his business partner Martin were very professional; punctual (arrived several minutes before our apt. time), well organized and fully equipped. We walked through the predetermined list of tasks - and Bob didn't mind my adding several small last minute projects, time permitting. Bob is easy going, has a lot of experience and is meticulous with his work. Martin is an excellent electrician and has a great attitude. They are a great team! Oh, and once everything was completed (on time!) and I was paying for their service, Bob actually told me my tip was too much! He thanked me and gave me back part of the tip!
