BOB'S HANDYMAN & REPAIR

It went fine. For others, he is a very busy guy so plan ahead of time.

First of all, Bob called to let me know he was running a few minutes late. Greatly appreciated! The most significant repair item was installation of a built-in microwave that didn't exactly fit the existing opening. Bob worked wonders and made it look great. He was very professional. I would definitely recommend him.

Not only was Bob able to complete all repairs, he knew what the inspectors would look for and made a number of very smart suggestions. Bob also upgraded a number of lighting fixtures. He has wonderful taste in selecting the appropriate fixtures. He is reliable, honest and very helpful.

Bob removed all the old grout and replaced it with beautiful new grout which stopped the leaking completely. Meanwhile, his assistant did the electrical work and miscellaneous other things we asked them to do. They spent a total of two hours. They cleaned up completely. Well worth it.

When researching Bob I saw that he had numerous reviews, all positive, I thought I would give him a try. The reviews were all correct!!! He showed on time and was very professional and personable. He did a beautiful job and also spent time discussing what I wanted. On items that I wasn't quite sure about he told me the pros and cons and also gave suggestions on other ways things could be done that would not be so costly. He was very neat, left the area better than when he arrive. His costs were very fair and actually did not charge me for the last half hour as he said he would consider that job review and estimating. I am having him back to do more next week due to such a great job. So glad to finally find a handyman that does quality work!!!!!

Bob responded quickly to our call. He first came to the home to assess our needs and gave us a bid. On the day of service, Bob arrived promptly and quickly went about his work. He cleaned up nicely in all areas, worked efficiently and got the job done well. We will call him again when we need work done at our home. Nice guy!

I was looking for help moving furniture. I tried three different places. One place wouldn't even respond. I looked on Angie's List and saw that Bob's Handyman & Repair got great reviews so I contacted him and he got back to me within 24 hours. I let him know when I was available and he worked to be available during those times. He showed up right on time and got right to work. Both Bob and his assistant were very helpful and got the work done in no time at all. He helped moved furniture, hung many picture frames and did other odd jobs. I am currently in the process of scheduling another appointment with him and plan to have him come back any time I have work around the house that needs to be done.

He arrived on time and was very professional. The work was excellent. I was very impressed with the quality of work. THe cost was slightly less that the estimate and the work was completed in the amount of time that he estimated. I will definately use him again and I strongly recommed his work.

All repairs were done quickly and professionally. We were happy with the results.

I had a list of items from a home inspection report that I wanted to have corrected. Bob provided a very good professional opinion as to which items were necessary/desirable to fix vs. the ones that were not good value (a lot of time/labor to fix for a minor issue). We agreed on the items to be fixed and he set off on the job. During the first appointment he ran out of time to correct all the items, so he returned 2 days later to finish. He quickly finished the leftover items on the second visit, which was fortuitous because at that same time we had a new appliance delivery. So we were able to take advantage of him being there to help hook up the appliances and also install the baby gates we had purchased for the top and bottom of the stairs. Bob, probably from all the positive reviews on this site, is very busy and initial contact was spotty. He may have thought I was just seeking an estimate for real estate negotiation purposes rather than an actual job. I did use the estimate to negotiate, but I still wanted the work done. Be aware he may call you later in the evening (past 9 pm). But he will get back in touch so be patient. He is a very honest and studious businessman so you will not go wrong in choosing his services. I'm sure he will be back at my property again in the future.

Bob was very professional and very hardworking. He was also very punctual. His assistant, Martin, was also very competent. His rates are reasonable. Bob is a nice guy and very easy to have in your house. He did everything that I asked him to do and a few things that I hadn't thought of. I would certainly use him again and would recommend him highly.

So far, I have only been able to give a stellar review to Harbor Automotive in Costa Mesa. Until today. I am seriously dumbfounded by the lack of customer service these days. This applies to all kinds of things, doctors, restaurants, plumbers, AT&T, and most other companies that I come in contact with. I mean I do NOT know how these people stay in business. But let me tell you, I KNOW how Bob stays in business. I will very happily refer this guy to everyone I know. He always returned my calls, was very friendly (which for some reason is now unusual), he didn't talk my ear off (like some other handymen have -- while I am paying the hourly rate of course), he did not charge me for the materials he used, he did not charge me for the first half hour because it was mainly spent going over what needed to be done, and he did an awesome job to boot. It is too bad that finding someone like this is practically like winning the lottery, but I'm more than happy to share my winnings here so that Bob stays in business until he decides to retire and play tennis full time. Thanks Bob (and your amazing assistant -- who was even willing to thread a needle several times so we could sew a patch on my girls dasies uniform -- apparently not everyone goes blind at 40). By the way, they vacuumed up every dust particle and wiped down every surface so that the place was cleaner than when they arrived. Truly the Nordstrom of Handyman service!

Bob was very pleasant and was able to go to work on short notice. Work was extremely neat and his clean up was impeccable. Overall I found Bob to be very accommodating and willing to go that extra mile for us. I would certainly use him in the future.

The job was outlined as to time, money, materials,etc. He was on time and worked diligently.

I came home and was amazed that I couldn't tell he was there. I LOVED the work he did and I felt like everything came together in my condo, it was all perfect. I don't have a stand for my cable box and phone in my bedroom and he made a makeshift stand out of a box after he wall mounted my TV. It was the sweetest and most thoughtful gesture! I have a lot of work for Bob in the future and without a doubt will hire him and I recommend everyone else do the same. It is worth every penny to have it done correctly, professionally and with integrity.

I found them on Angie's List. Bob has a great combination of craftman skills and an artistic eye. He works very hard while he is there and he does the job from start to finish. He is a great guy.

Bob and Martin, his assistant, were extremely courteous and professional. Bob went over the long list I had and was very helpful in explaining to me what needed to be done and estimating the time needed for each project. I would highly recommend that anyone needing a handyman, call Bob.

He came in and performed professionally. Since he charges by hour, he gave us how long it would take, and he completed all within the estimate. Upon each completion of sub-tasks, he explained what he did and asked us to review his work. All works were done professionally, and the worked area was very clean. I highly recommend him.

Bob's work is exceptional. He guarantees his work but we have yet to call him on it as he puts a lot of pride and effort into everything he does. He is pricier than other handymen but we have used him multiple times and expect to use him going forward. He is difficult (if not, impossible) to reach during the day. However this is due to the fact that he does not answer the phone or text while he is working. He is completely focused on the task at hand which you as a customer will appreciate. He is tough to schedule with, because he is in demand. He takes great pride in his craft. He is an honest man. These things are difficult to find not only in a handyman but in most people these days.

I tried to get a hold of this company 5 times. I left many messages. When he finally called me back he told me he was extremely busy and sorry he did not get back to me. His prices are far to high for a handyman and I did not use him.

I called multiple times and he initally called back and left a message, and then he just stopped calling. We had made a tentative date for him to come and he never responded back by phone call OR by email to confirm, this although I had called and requested a confirmation and had emailed him with the same. I think my job was not big enough (for him. Anyway, I don't appreciate it when curtesy calls aren't made back. I would never use him. Not dependable.

Bob did an excellent job on all the projects I had for him to do. In fact he accomplished more than I had expected him to do. I would highly recommend him for any handyman projects you may have. This is the 2nd time we have used him and I will certainly use him again. I made a list of all the projects I wanted done and Bob just took it and ran with it accomplishing everything.

I had a great experience with Bob's Handyman services. He was on time, focused on what had to be done and made sure it was done correctly. If there was something he couldn't do, he was upfront about it. He didn't waste hours and hours just to charge more. He was honest and that's what set him apart from the other handymen I have used. He's fast too! Amazing how much he can get done in two hours. Very reasonably priced and prepared for the jobs he's able to do. I will use him again.
