+ -1 moreMy computer locked up and would not respond, and then began making some whining noise whenever I powered up with no display on the monitor. I was afraid my hard drive crashed. I found All Computer Services on Angie's List and called and talked to Robert Hutchins, who runs the business at his home. I dropped the computer off and he told me he would check it out and get back to me. He called the next day and let me know that the RAM had failed and that was the main problem, the hard drive was fine. He replaced the two RAM cards, checked it over for any other problems, and updated some of the drivers. I picked it up the next day and it worked very well, actually faster than before, and all my files were there. It was nice to find someone to work on the computer knows what he is doing and I felt he was fair and honest. The charges included the cost of the RAM cards, and an hour of his time. I would not hesitate to use him again.
Description of Work: Installed new RAM (2 - 1GB Kingston RAM), cleaned CPU fan that was completely blocked, updated device drivers to Windows 7.

+ -1 moreJob 1: Came to the home and set up a network in about an hour, for our desktops and laptops. Job 2: We told him what size drives we wanted, and he found them and put them in carry cases.
Description of Work: Job 1: Set up a wireless network for our home computers ($65). Job 2: Robert put together two external hard drives for our daughter's college computer and our business computer as additional back-up resources.
