Description of Work: I need to repair and replace my roof. The contractor came out and examined my needs. It is a mobile home, but it needs a new roof. It took me 3 months to get a bid. He was, obviously not interested in providing me a service.

+ 0 moreMr. Zumwalt presented an estimate for a solar panel installation. We have entered into a contract for the services. His reputation in the community is without peer. He not only examined our clay tiles, he replaced several at no cost. In addition, he noticed a small leak in my pool filter area and made several repairs, again at no cost. As general contractor, I will call on their company to do any future business. When their Solar installation is complete I expect to have another excellent report. And finally, they are nice people. They are active in in their church life and I have learned their company has do several pro bono contract jobs (labor) for the church. jim perry

+ -1 moreZumwalt is one of the few companies who do roof repairs on a "flat roof" of tar and gravel. They started on the roof within two weeks after the initial estimate and on the day promised (Friday). However, I was told that they would finish on Saturday, but they didn't show up necessitating a call. They did come back on Monday and finished on Tuesday. Overall, I was pleased with the quality of the work done--they even did a couple of things that I didn't request but appreciated that those were done. They gave me a fixed price on part of the repairs and "time and materials" on the other part, which was a bit unnerving. However, the final price was fair and the bill was easy to understand. Clean-up was pretty good except for a big glob of tar that went down the side of a wall that was not cleaned up. Their repairs are not guaranteed. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Re-did roof around chimneys. Replaced several boards under the eaves which had dry rot. In some cases that required tearing off the roof and replacing that portion of the roof. Replaced gutters. Original roof was not done by Zumwalt.

+ -1 moreWhen they finished tho job looked good. The roof coating was applied too thin and is fading thought and peeling. We have been fighting for six weeks for them to come back and fix it.

+ -1 moreI WAS SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID FOR ME. THEY CAME ON TIME, THEY WERE VERY NICE, THEY WERE CLEAN LOOKING, THEY WORKED HARD AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.
Description of Work: THEY TORE OFF THE OLD SHINGLES AND PUT DOWN NEW TAR PAPER AND SHINGLES.
