Renewal by Andersen of Sacramento

Replacement went cleanly and efficiently with very knowledgeable installers. The renewal product is far superior to our previous double pane windows both in looks and energy and sound efficiency. The sales people and installers were very nice people. They even helped us align our sliding glass doors that were installed years back by another company.

When windows were placed in the opening there was a 2 inch gap on the sides and 4 inches on the top/bottom, "We do this on all our insulations so there is room to set them right". The one main question we asked before signing was how much additional glass loss, due to a bigger frame, would there be? We were assured that it would not be more than "The width of a pinkie finger". In fact it went from 2.5 inches to 4 inches. I said they measured wrong, they say it has to be that big a gap to fit right. On the two windows in the family room, the window did not cover the old frame at the bottom, so they added one inch of trim to cover that gap. They stated that it was due to the old window but they could "Cover it up". Why then was there not a problem with the other two windows? We are changing the type of window coverings to hide the "New Look" The patio door required that they break the stucco. They said that the price included replacing the stucco and painting. Two weeks after the completed the work I had to call and remind them that they needed to paint the stucco. I provided the paint to match the original paint or I don't know what they would use. They failed to provide a product to meet their stated outcome.

It was pretty expensive. They were very good in all the other areas, but the price. I would say an “A” in their custom service.

Outstanding in every way. A pleasure to see it go so well. Smooth, on time and shorter in the process than anticipated.

This was probably the most satisfying purchase and service experience we have had in twenty years. First the company sent their rep to measure and estimate the job and help us set up financing. When the windows were manufactured and ready for installation, the crew that came out was excellent. There were enough workers to remove and haul away old windows and install all the new windows in one day. They were skillful and careful with home exterior and interior. The Renewal windows are very attractive, energy efficient and fit perfectly. Although it seemed a bit pricey at the time, we don't regret a single penny.

I did get other bids from other companies, and Renewal by Anderson was more expensive by about fifteen thousand. However, the quality of their work, is exceptional. They came in with an crew. We did every window, and every door in the house, all the sliders. That is why it was so much money. They told me they would be done in an day. I said, oh yeah sure.They came ten to eight in the morning, and was done by sixty thirty. They were done. Mind you they had fifteen guys here. We have an eighteen hundred square foot house. The care that they took inside and outside. The plants, they even covered the pool with plastic, so no dust would get in it. I do not want the price included in the review. They were the highest bid. They also had to extend the sides of the windows, in two of the bedrooms. They had to bring it to code, and make it larger. They had to do new drywall inside the house, and stucco outside the house. They matched the stucco perfectly. They had to do new stucco on the sliders of the house, and they matched the stucco perfectly. They sent somebody later, the following week, to match the paint on our wall paint. He is an master mixer, and he brought his little kits, and matched our wall colors. He painted the frame inside the wall perfectly.

It went well.

The installers did an exceptional job of removing the old windows, installing the new, perfecting their installation, cleaning up and making certain it was all to our satisfaction. And all within one day. They even brought 2 different trims for us to decide which we wanted on the day of installation. The renewal windows are much more energy efficient than the double-pane windows that were replaced. Although they seemed costly at the time, it was worth every penny for this excellent experience.

I could not have asked for a better team. They were friendly, professional and most importantly - punctual. They showed up at 8am and were done by 1 with a full entry door replacement and garden window replacement. Their work was outstanding. I was a little concerned with some tile we had around the garden window but they were able to cut the tile and put the new awning window in without any issues. They paid attention to detail so the finish work is an A+ in my book. I look forward to having them out to finish the rest of our windows.

I would give them high regard for being responsive and professional. The price was just way too high!

So far, so good. They’re a little high price. They haven’t installed the door yet but from what they say, it’s going to be a first class job. I think they did a fine job. We’ll see if we get a first class installation which is what they specified and detailed.

My tenants received a flier on their doorstep advertising free installation & same as cash financing. Having previously bought Anderson renewal windows from Hall's for a reasonable price to install myself because my house tested positive for lead, I figured this would get me a high quality window for a reasonable price. When I called to make an appointment, the representative told me they don't usually do estimates for rentals because they aren't the cheapest Windows around. I explained this wasn't a typical rental. I grew up in this house & plan to live there in the future. So we scheduled the appointment. The salesperson, Eric, showed up on time & was personable & polished in his sales skills. Red flags went up as he avoided the subject of "free installation" & kept referring to the high cost of windows. When he told me that vinyl windows cost much more than the Anderson windows I bought from Hall's my distrust antenna went up. These costs increased for each lesser version of window he showed me before his. When he put his quote together it totalled over $60k for 26 Windows & a sliding glass door! He gave me discounts to bring it down to the low $50's & when I said that's way out of the ballpark for me he brought it down another $10k for a series 2 Anderson window. I explained that about 5 years ago my old house tested positive for lead so Hall's agreed to sell me Windows to install myself instead of paying several hundred per window for their installers to abide by lead mitigation protocols. Eric said he hadn't heard of lead testing. He held up a pamphlet & said "all we need to do is give you this pamphlet". I was shocked & unimpressed. He didn't understand why I got the windows so cheap from Hall's. I told him I expected about the same price Windows since they had "free installation". After he avoided the subject again, I said "I'm not comfortable buying windows from this company." He asked why & I explained that it seemed like a marketing gimmick to offer "free installation" but then build that cost into the price of the windows. He snapped "of course we do! How else do you think we'd make up that cost?" I asked "then why do you advertise free installation?" He was flabbergasted that I would even asking that. He told me I am the only customer who has ever questioned that. At that point, he was obviously worked up & started gathering his stuff & running out of the house saying "Fine. If that's how it's going to be. I didn't realize it was going to be like this!" He seemed p***** off he wasted his time & panicked for some reason. He kept asking me to explain myself & getting more agitated by the second. I finally said "Listen. We obviously have different perspectives. I don't care if you understand my perspective or not. You've already told me that I'm the only one who thinks like I do so why would you want to understand my perspective? If you have a bunch of customers on the same page as you, keep doing what you're doing & forget about me. One person who thinks differently is not going to help or hurt your business." He ran off muttering under his breath like a kid taking his ball home after he lost the game. It was a very unprofessional encounter leaving me with the impression that this company is dishonest, manipulative, & emotionally immature. I wouldn't give my business to this company if they offered free windows & installation!

Sales process was very professional; installation process was on schedule and professionally done. There was some slight paint touch-up required about a month later (after a downpour) which was promptly taken care of. The product (the windows) is excellent. They have made a clear difference in the climate control of our home. I have already purchased additional windows which are to be installed June 29th.

It turned out great. The final product turned out great. Everybody was pleasant. They did the work in one day.

The service went fine. They did a good job. They were pleasant and professional both on the sales side and on the installation side. Their price was in the ball park with the others that we had requested estimates from.

They were very great. For the services that they did, the price was well. They just did a really good job. They were timely. They got it done. They did a nice job. The service people were good too. Everything was exceptionally well. I didn't do a lot of comparison but they weren't cheap.

We used Renewal by Andersen to replace tall, aesthetically dominant windows in our living room. One of the windows being replaced had been broken, and both had serious problems with moisture transmission and mold. Also, the old windows were single pane. The new windows are a fabulous improvement! They are double pane with a striking waterfall pattern. And, the installation used non-metal framing so that the moisture transmission and mold will not return. The sales and installation were seamless. All very professional! No hassle, no cleanup for us. Everything was done on our schedule and without delays and last minute changes.

My experience with Renewal by Andersen has been very positive. My home was designed by an architect and there is a problem window in my living room that is diagonally shaped. I had at least 3 other companies replace the diagonal window but it never was sealed and in result algae formed on the window. Renewal by Andersen was the first company that gave me a clear and sealed window and I'm delighted. The windows in my home have smart sunglass and I like the look it gives the front of my house. The guys who installed the windows were great. They knew what they were doing and I got to watch them perfectly fit the windows to my home. The tracks of the windows are smooth and make it very easy to open. If I had more windows to replace, I would have Renewal by Andersen do it.

It is fine. We didn’t have any dislikes and I do like it. It was costly. I had to them to paint the trim or whatever that I don’t think they had any intentions on doing. When they came out, the foremen had told me that all that would be done. I just had to make sure that stuff was done and I don’t think I should have had to do that considering the price I paid for the door. They never contacted me again after they did the installation. The quality of it is good but I don’t know if it is any better than other stuff. They did come in and they were very quick. They were clean and they did clean up everything. I didn’t have to worry about that. It was only one window and a door and it was a quick job. The pricing was really high. I don’t think they had the best pricing and I think they had terrible pricing. I think they are too expensive. They didn’t contact me at all until the windows were here. I kind of wondered if they had forgotten about me. I didn’t like the way their billing was. I have never had to call them back for anything. It took a while to get them.

From start to finish the sales process uncovered what we wanted to accomplish and was done thoroughly and professionally with no hassle or pressure. The timing and delivery was exactly as represented and the install crew was punctual, amazingly concerned with the details and cleanliness and very well prepared. The staging process and final install was an exercise in precision. They were courteous and answered all the questions immediately every step of the way. The outcome is outstanding. Very very pleased.

Our representative did a thorough presentation and answered all our questions and concerns. The installers were employees of the company and took extreme measures to insure our furniture, carpets, and belongings were covered and protected. The measurements were right on, and the windows have made a huge difference in the looks of our home inside and out. We have noticed a savings in our utility bill since the windows were installed. We interviewed two other companies and got bids before making up our minds. We could have saved some money by buying cheaper windows, but we would not have the quality, durability, and guarantee of the Renewal by Andersen windows and doors. The only regret we have is that we didn't replace the windows and doors sooner! We made the right choice!
