Description of Work: Wife called, was told to call owner back. She did call back and left a message. I then sent a picture of the table to be refinished, never got a call back.

Description of Work: I had a cherry wood china hutch that sustained smoke damage. Not only did John's Furniture Rescue restore the finish and get it to exactly match the bottom chest, it was upgraded to have touch-activated dimmer/off switch for the lights. They weren't the least expensive, but the detailed quote gave me confidence that the restoration would be very high quality. And they even exceeded my expectations!

+ -1 moreIf you have an email link permitting customers/potential customers to contact you, it implies that you are willing to check your email and take a few minutes to respond. If you are going on vacation, and you are the sole person who looks at the emails, you should do that and respond before you go on vacation. The gentleman who answered the phone was pleasant, but unable to help me. I will now deal with the manufacturer.
Description of Work: Provider has an email link, allowing potential customers to inquire about services and parts. I filled this out in detail concerning an electric recliner on June 26, 2015 and sent it. I heard nothing. Ten days later, on July 6, 2015, I called and spoke to a gentleman who advised that "John" is the only person who looks at the emails, they had been very busy, and John was on vacation.

+ -1 moreIcontacted the owner (John) by phone. As I live in Galt and they were located in Rancho Cordova (about 30 miles apart) I emailed pictures with dimensions to the owner. He provided a written quote, made arrangements for the furniture to be picked up and then redelivered after they were complete. When the furniture repair and refinish was completed, John asked me to come to his shop and inspect the furniture. When I saw the furniture my first word was WOW. They were beautiful - looked brand new. I did inspect them and am very happy with the work. I gave them my Ok and the furniture was delivered back to my home in a few days.
Description of Work: They made repairs and refinished a solid oak coffee table with 2 drawers and 2 matching end tables with drawers (1 end table was a double decker). I purchased the furniture over 15 years ago. The furniture had dings, dents and the finish was in poor condition from normal mishaps + I had moved with the furniture twice.

+ -1 moreThe rear legs had fallen off my antique sewing table. It is a piece I found in a and quot;junqueand quot; shop in Jamestown, Rhode Island about 20 years ago. It was in sad shape so I refinished it and have enjoyed using it ever since. Recently when I opened a drawer the table fell over and I found it's rear legs had come off. I located Furniture Rescue on-line. They said they were very busy but would be glad to fix my table if it could be fixed. They also warned me that they were really busy and it might take awhile to get it back. I dropped it off at their shop on 5/23/13. They called and told me it was finished on 7/01/3. They did a fantastic job! The rear legs are now very sturdy and they also polished the table so it looks very beautiful! I know it will give me many more years of service and enjoyment.

They just did refinishing and staining on them because they were badly water damaged. It seemed expensive, but worth it. It did take a long time to get the stuff back. They were busy, because it was right after the tornado.

Description of Work: The furniture is our "Govenors' Table" consisting of scalloped edge table, 4 straight charirs, 2 arm chairs and 3 leaves that will seat up to10 people. It came from the residence (on Wilhaggin Drive) that was occupied by the 3 CA govenors before "Arnold". All chairs were dissambled, re-glued, cleaned, restained and sealed with laquer. The 48x48 table was in horrible shape and, basically, was completely restored. The 3 leaves were cleaned and restained.The set now matches in color and texture. The cost included $190 for pickup and delivery.
