The job was average. We went with them because of price.

I can?t recommend Scott enough to anyone looking for a quality paint job. From the initial contact to the conclusion of the project, his focus on client communication and satisfaction is clear. I wanted to have my new windows installed before Scott began his work and due to this requirement, we had a tentative start date agreed to and as luck would have it the windows were delayed. Scott called a week before the start date to make sure we were still a go, after informing him of the delay, we agreed to another start date. Once the project was started, everything went smoothly. He took great care to protect my property and my neighbors property from over spray. A fact I appreciated even more after my neighbors painter was not as careful. Everything was completed on schedule and I couldn?t be happier.

His was knowledgeable and friendly as we discussed the project. He does the work himself with 2 helpers. He started by power washing the house on a Sat and then 5 more days on the job. We were very happy with the outcome and would recommend him. he works clean and does what he says he is going to do...no surprises...he knows what he is doing.

Scott Smith Professional Painting did a fabulous job! For $2,150.00, Scott, Steve, and Daryl painted the outside of our 1901 sq ft single story stucco house and it turned out 100% to my satisfaction. The job was 1) repaint exterior stucco; 2) repaint front retaining walls; 3) repaint back doors & side door & security screen door; 4) repaint two garage roll up doors; 5) re-varnish front door. Scott used Sherwin Williams SuperPaint, which is Exterior Acrylic Latex 25-year warranty paint. He power washed, caulked cracks made very good suggestions on where to put the different color paints. Scott has been in the business many years and pays attention to details that impressed me and I am a very detailed oriented person. He explains each day, what it is he plans to get accomplished and gets it done. If there is a decision I need to make, I ask him for the pros/cons and for his suggestions. His team is well-organized and very hard workers. They keep everything neat and in its place through out the day and clean up after each day. The schedule was Saturday power wash, Monday mask for the stucco painting, Tuesday paint the 3 colors of stucco, Wednesday mask and paint the doors, security screen door, & garage doors. I am retired so I was able to stay and watch them do their work. Scott enjoyed explaining the technical parts of his trade, only because I was very interested in it. He talked about the different types of paint that can be used on my job and assured me that he used the best paint for my job. He also talked about the equipment he used and showed me the custom spray wand that he put together. There are many other detailed facts that he shared with me, not only did I get my monies worth on the job but also in knowledge Comment: When Scott schedules your job, and you have to wait a few weeks before he can get to you, it is well worth it.

The whole job from the initial phone call for a bid until the job was completed was Perfect. The quality of work was amazing. Scott is an expert in his profession. He taught me a lot and I completely trusted him.

Scott responded promptly to voicemail message (other's recommended on Angie's list did not), showed up on time and provided a very reasonable bid. He has worked as a painter a long time and is exceptionally knowledgable about paint/colors/brands. He knew the paint formula color required by the HOA's has been changed twice and ensured the paint technician mixed the proper (older) color. Pressure washing was drama free, and the following day Scott and his (nephew?) helper showed up at the exact appointment time. We were truly impressed with the attention to detail when it came to everything from where to park, to covering all exposed (even vertical) surfaces and sensitivity to plants in the area. Scott and his helper were fastidious, efficient, professional and very knowledgeable. Pricing was reasonable, and work was performed around our schedule. Typically we have to go behind a painter and touch up what might have been missed/overlooked; not required with Scott and team. We would not hesitate to work with them again and have already recommend him to friends and family.

I would hire Scott in a flash. He is professional and very helpful with suggestions for color. He and his crew did a fantastic job from start to finish. I have 3 dogs and they were very careful about making sure gates were closed at all times. From the time I first contacted Scott, till the time he was done, the entire job was well thought out and executed.

He was timely. The older guy who painted was in the business for a long time about 35years. He had a sole operation with him and his son who had also been with him for 15years. It was basically he and his son who operated together with a third person. I had a number of quotes but I chose them because they were cheapest. He seemed very experienced.

Not only did they do an amazing job, but they were affordable, on time, and sooo nice. My husband and I loved having them around for a few days. The first day Scott came to pressure wash and prepare the house. The following day he did all the prep work, tape, drop cloth/paper, etc. Then the next day and a half he painted the entire house, including trim shutters, front door, and garage door. Our house looks amazing and I'm thrilled with the job they did. It was really hard for me to find someone I trusted, that was within our budget, and Scott Smith was amazing. I plan on having him back in 5 years to touch up the wood trim and doors

There are three areas of working with Scott that make me very happy: 1. He consulted well, giving ideas and suggestions. He estimated accurately. He let us pick the paint company (Behr Ultra) 2. He and his crew showed up and did the work. 4 days worth. And left the place as found (full condo repaint) 3. His work was excellent. Straight lines at the transitions, great brush and roll work. Wonderful. Taped well, took off and returned items rather than paint around.If these three areas are what are important to you, then hire Scott

Came with in a few hours of my huband calling, looked over job. Gave us a written quote a few day later. We hired him to do the job 3 days later. Match paint on wall to a tee. Show up on time...Was so surprise that he finished the job so fast and complete. Cleaned up after himself. I would diffently hire him again. Infact we talked about him doing another job for us. He was worth every penny he quoted us and more.... Oh, he also fixed my back door that wasn't latching...for free

I would recommend Scott to anyone. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and performed a fantastic job. He was very accommodating and helpful.

He was very sharp. He was good to work with and neat and clean. Whenever Scott brought in another worker to finish my dining room, he didn't sand the wall and I didn't like that.

I was very happy with the job that Scott and his son did for me. They were prompt, efficient and friendly. Their bid was better than the two others that I got and a great job as well. What more can you ask for? I plan to use them again this next year for another job.

Working with Scott Smith and his son is a pleasure. Not only do they take complete care of our house, but they were very careful with our yard, and we even had two small dogs at home. They were very flexible with the dogs and made sure they didnt' leave the yard. their attention to detail is excellent, and they paid very good attention to making sure everything was covered and protected. Their recommendation of the qulaity of paint on our home was appreciated, and you could really tell the difference. Their price was very fair, and they did an awesome job with clean up. Nothing left behind, no mess in the driveway or street, and the house looks brand new. Great job.

Awesome. Hired them because of their good reviews on your web site and was more than satisfied. Very professional, good estimate. Very professional and cleaned up at the end of every day. Insisted on moving furniture back and leaving rooms as they found them. I would definitely hire them again. I have a lot of curved walls with a change of color and their lines were PERFECT!

We watched Scott Smith paint our neighbors house and were impressed. So we hired him to paint our exterior stucco, trim and doors. The Saturday before starting to paint, Scott power-washed our home exterior. He then prepped the stucco, filling the cracks, and covered the landscape plantings and walkways before painting the stucco, trim, garage door, and house doors. He also re-stained some exterior cedar shingles. Scott worked with his son and nephew. They worked as a well-coordinated team.They were very neat, cooperative, professional and friendly at all times. We were so impressed, we hired them to return at a later date and paint 2 interior built-in cabinet units and interior door trim.

The person we spoke with was the actual painter, in contrast to the other companies we considered. The price matched other estimates. The work was done as agreed. We were so pleased working with Scott Smith that we have another project scheduled for next week!

A discussion took place of colors of paint and what areas where to be inlcuded. An estimate was given, and the company was here on time and very professional. Friendly workers, and worked around our time restrictions. All cleanup was performed, and a walk through for any issues. No issues were found. I called the company back approx. 5 days later, because an area was found that did not get painted, but it was our fault, not the painters. They were happy to come back and paint the small area. Very good experience.

Scott gave us several options in the estimate so that we could see the price for adding on any additional work that we wanted. He was very careful about making sure that he understood exactly what we wanted (for example, we wanted an extra coat of paint on the wood siding and a different color on the trim). He was also very careful in verifying the colors that we chose. He came by before the work began and put some color patches on the walls to help us decide on color, and he also offered good suggestions on which colors would look best. When work began, he was very careful about covering things up in the yard and even suggested to our neighbor to move their car in case of overspray. He and his crew left the house tidy every day. The job went quickly and the house looks great now. Great value for the work.

Scott gave us the estimate, and then he started to paint within 2 weeks. They were very prompt, very courteous,. and took special care moving all furniture. They finished the job in a timely manner, and they cleaned and even dusted my floors after they were done. So nice to see someone who really cares what kind of job he does.

Scott came out with his crew on the first day to power wash. They were very careful in moving an outdoor fountain that we had forgotten to move as well as a few other items on the exterior which were in the way. Unfortunately, the next few weeks it rained so the painting was postponed until January. Scott kept in touch with me over the holidays & rain period to discuss a new date in January. He arrived as promised early that morning and spent time masking, taping, caulking, & putting drop cloths down. He and his team would show up very early each morning and worked consistently until they were finished for the day. Scott was always onsite - he didn't leave his crew here alone. His team was very hard working & courteous. We communicated daily how things were going, etc. His team would clean up every day which took some time, but I really appreciated the care they took in doing so. They never rinsed their brushes here or emptied any paint water, they took that with them daily. We would have painted the house years ago if we knew it would look this great, only took 1 week to do and had such a reliable painter.

Scott and his company did an excellent job painting our house. He was always attentive to our concerns and questions. What we liked about Scott's company is that they are local to Poway and Scripps Ranch and most importantly that he is willing to do whatever it takes to get it right.

He is just excellent, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone! His clean up was great and it's a family company!

THEY GOT THE WORK DONE VERY QUICKLY. IT LOOKED GREAT & THEY WERE VERY NEAT.
