+ 0 moreThe guy came over for measurement when I noticed the slab color name on his sheet was incorrect ("NIEBLA"). I pointed this out and showed him the sample form Lowe's. He called someone on his cell and said not to worry: they will install "whatever is on the contract." ~2 weeks later, their install team arrives . . . with the WRONG slab . . . . this was ~ 1 month ago. Apparently, there is a dispute between SD Granite and Lowe's at to who's at fault and no further action will be taken until settled . . . .I'm not sure what Lowe's did wrong in this process but what I do know is that San Diego Granite's rep was shown the correct material and my original order from Lowe's. In spite of this, they unilaterally decided to install a different slab material for my countertop. The way I see it, that makes it their fault and they're refusing to fix their screw up.
Description of Work: was subcontractor for Lowe's countertop purchase and install.

+ -1 moreThe estimate was fine and competitive but I went with another company that was a little cheaper. The other company also would install a sink along with the countertop. San Diego was fine. They were professional and responsive. It's just that I went with another company that was a little less expensive and they also carried sink. They just came out and put the sink in with the countertop. The estimate given by San Diego was for around $2300 to $2500. They seemed fine. I didn't want to go out and get my own sink because it was too much trouble. Their estimate was very good but the other company was a little cheap. If I was getting some other kind of work done I would certainly consider San Diego. They had a good reputation and I'm sure that their quality is excellent. They were responsive to my questions.
Description of Work: San Diego Granite gave me an estimate last month for two vanity countertops.

+ 0 moreSDG were one of our top 3 fabricators for quoting the job. Their initial quote was significantly less than the other two bidders and their follow-up quote provided most of the additional details that I requested. However, when I asked for the final changes to be put in writing for a contract, they declined to accept the job. They were recommended by Arizona Tile and seemed to have some good reviews online. However, I would need to visit their facility to see their work and meet the staff before considering them for another job.
Description of Work: SDG quoted the replacement of the tile countertops in our kitchen and fireplace surround in our living room, but withdrew from the final selection process.
