Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen

It went extremely well. It was a little higher in price than what I expected originally but was worth every cent. Mary, the designer was excellent in suggesting options for us to choose from. The PM Brett was on top of everything and always checked in with me to make sure I was happy. Job Well Done! A+++ rating

After interviewing and receiving bids from six contractors/remodeling companies for a complete home remodel, I walked into the showroom of Remodel Works, located in Poway. I looked at the material samples to see if they would work for me. After looking at the samples, the receptionist asked me if I would like to meet with a designer to answer any questions. The designer was John DeLuca, a very friendly and knowledgeable person. In John's office I found he was a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer, who obtained several design awards from the National Kitchen and Bath Association for best kitchen and bath designs. The awards, dated from 2015 to 2018, were displayed in his office. After returning home, I wanted to see exactly what a CMKBD certification entailed. I found the requirements for the Master Certification involved many years of actual design experience, along with specific educational requirements and industry recognition. John put a lot of work into obtaining his certification and after reading the requirements of the Master Certification I realized I was working with a true professional. A couple of days after my initial visit, I returned to Remodel Works. John and I talked about getting my 29 year old home into the 21st century. John listened to me and quickly grasped exactly what I envisioned. After actually coming to my home and seeing my project, John prepared detailed plans for the three bathrooms. After reviewing the renderings for the bathrooms, I knew John and I were on the same path for my remodel. A couple of things were changed, but overall, with the design magic of John, I would be getting exactly what I wanted. John is a master of coordinating colors and materials and it showed in his selections of the cabinets, tile, sinks, faucets and countertops. Ryan Terrell was my Project Manager. With Ryan's competency, patience and personality I knew we were right for each other. Ryan always looked out for my best interest, whether it was something I wasn't understanding or directing Remodel Work employees and sub contractors in doing their tasks. If I had any concerns, I would text Ryan and he would contact me within a very reasonable time frame and would often be in my home within the hour. On the few occasions I would ask Ryan about doing something a little different, we would talk about the pros and cons of my request. I would base my decisions on Ryan's expertise and I was very happy with his help. He always made sufficient time to listen to me, answer all my questions and help me make the right decision. Remodel Works provided a detailed daily schedule as to who would be at my home on specific days and what work was to be completed. This was invaluable to me as I could see the daily progression. I am so pleased I found Remodel Works. I found working with them very easy as they are true professionals who put the customer first. At the beginning of my journey with Remodel Works, there was never any pressure to sign a contract or point me to upgraded materials. It was all about me and what I wanted. After the start of the project, Remodel Works took care of the daily day to day details so I could have a life. The Project Manager stayed in contact with me during the week. The employees and subs came when they were scheduled, at the time they were scheduled, and definite daily progress was made. Remodel Works even made it possible so I could continue to comfortably live in my home. I am so happy with Remodel Works and my three beautiful bathrooms, I have signed a second contract with them for my kitchen and laundry room. The professionalism, customer respect, coming in on budget with no surprises, ease of working with John, Ryan, and the everyday employees made the lack of remodeling stress a dream come true.

We were extremely pleased with our bathroom remodel. Kate, the designer listened to everything we told her during the first meeting and she presented us with the exact floor and shower tile, cabinets and fixtures we ended up installing...with NO changes! Our PM, Greg did an awesome job to insure the project stayed on schedule. One hiccup...final/approved CAD drawings were not the ones posted at the worksite so it caused tiling errors. Although Greg was quick to rectify, better attention to detail by Remodel Works would have avoided lots of frustration!

Our master bath remodel turned out better than we could have ever imagined. John De Luca CMKBD was our designer. John took our vision and created such an amazing design. He also spent many hours with my wife in the their showroom picking out fixtures and color scheme( so much fun). Everyone in the showroom was so helpful. John was always available even after the demo and build had started. He gave me great advice on entry way into bathroom( love, love, love the barn doors) and also options when we ran into some space issues with optional fixtures. Brett and His demo and build crew did a great job. They stayed on schedule and was readily available anytime I had questions about build. I want to send out a special thank you to Chris. He did most of the build at our home. His professionalism and genuine concern for our home was so greatly appreciated. He took extra time to keep our home as clean as possible and safe for our pets. He was always communicating with us on any issues. The reason we chose Remodel Works was because they take you from design, demo and build. We Didn’t want a bunch of subcontractors to deal with. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Master bath is a true sanctuary!! Just blows my mind every-time we walk into it... Thank you all again, Dana and Marty Souki

Our designers, John De Luca and Mary Jennings, were able to translate my wife's very strong design visions into reality. They added value by leveraging their considerable experience with materials and design choices. The projects were completed on time and on budget. Our project manager, Jeff Aldridge, was responsive, truthful, and courteous - all while being more than tolerant of a few change orders that ordinarily would have affected the timeline. Jeff and Remodel Works were always up-front about when it was in our best interests to work directly with one of their recommended sub-contractors instead of incurring a marked up rate, and both their retained and recommended sub-contractors did outstanding work. Jasper, the tile guy, and Kim, the cabinet guy, were both true artists. You may pay top dollar for Remodel Works, but they are well worth it. My only critiques are that they could use some improvements in the area of tools and/or systems to track and manage materials logistics and scheduling. An experienced company like theirs should have realized the additional time needed to do the extra interior painting we asked for, and shouldn't need to be reminded to order tile with enough lead time to get it delivered before installation is scheduled. Our kitchen and master bath (the first project), and our laundry room (the second project) are all show-stoppers now. We are very happy with the work that Remodel Works did for us.

We had a great experience with Remodel Works, renovating our full downstairs bath (changing from tub to walk in shower) and the hall bathroom upstairs. We LOVED working with fantastic designer Mary Jennings again - she suggested styles, finishes, and colors that worked with our home colors & design, while feeling current and fresh. The bathrooms turned out amazing (Mary figured out a few ways to maximize drawer space - bonus!) and we are so happy with them. Another reason we chose RMW is because they have it all - sinks, fixtures, counters, tiles, cabinets, lighting - available to select right in their showroom, and that saved us a lot of time. Everything she helped us choose looks beautiful together. Our construction manager Jeff Aldridge was terrific as well, very responsive to our questions, and all the workers on the jobs were skilled, polite, and very tidy. The project was on budget. The detailed day-by-day schedule was very helpful for planning while we had 2 jobs going on in the house. RMW did our master bath 4 years ago, also on schedule and budget, and we are still very pleased with that work. Can't wait for our future kitchen remodel!

Remodel Works updated my hall bathroom a few months back. They did a great job so rehired to update my master bathroom. John De Luca did another fantastic design for my small master bathroom. He suggested adding a pocket door to make the room feel more spacious. What a difference that made in making it not so closet like now! Jeff was also back out as project manager for this job. There were a few hiccups with the tile work and the window which threw off the overall aesthetics of the bathroom. Both John and Jeff listened and did not discount my concerns. Jeff had told me from the first day of work on my hall bathroom and again with the beginning of work on master bathroom that he wasn't happy until I was happy. Thank you, Jeff, for being true to your word! I love my master bathroom!

EXCELLENT! I would definitely hire this exceptional company again. Everyone, from their awesome designer, Mary Jennings, and terrific project manager, Greg Ransweiler, and their entire team, are talented, reliable, professional and friendly. They were on-time (actually finished a couple of days early) and on-budget. They provide a detailed, day-by-day line item description of the work to be performed and the name of the contractor/subcontractor. Always arrived on time and cleaned up every day before leaving. The bathroom turned out beautiful!

We hired Remodel Works to remodel a kitchen, family room, dinette, and to do updating of three of our bathrooms. On each of the rooms, they provided a detailed timeline and description of the work to be done on each day. Our project manager, Ryan Terrell, did a remarkable job in making sure that the timeline was adhered to, and that the work quality was superb. Out of a 1-5 rating, he was a 6. The three men who did most of the actual remodel work (Chris D., Bryan F. and Ashley K.), are excellent craftsmen. The remodel turned out to be an amazing updated look, and one we appreciate daily. After a lot of research and gathering competing bids from 4 of the top rated design build firms in San Diego, we decided to go with Remodel Works. I’m happy to say it was the right choice! The team there have worked together for ages, so there is a lot of synergy between different teams in the company. From the initial designer to the architectural drawing team they did not miss a beat. The same was true for the project management team and all of the staff working each day on site. I found out that Lance Hawkins, the Ops Director, had been at the company for 19 years and the same was true for much of the Remodel Works team. That is the kind of team that can pull off a project and make it look easy. I would recommend this company to anyone who is thinking of getting their remodel started. The biggest challenge was the first step.

This is quality operation. Design service was good, subs were excellent, and overall management top notch. We've done multiple kitchens. It's always disruptive, but RW kept things flowing. We had a day-by-day schedule, which they kept to. Problems during the job were handled seamlessly. We never felt like we were on our own. Very pleased with the final product.

I had to pinch myself and ask why I had spent two years researching and reading about companies from on the internet and on TV. The first company I looked at was Remodel Works and the one I chose after two years was Remodel Works. Was my choice the correct one? WOW! Let me explain by way of analogy. Designer John De Luca served the purposes of a general manager of a successful baseball franchise. His designs far exceeded expectation and imagination. John passed the task of the remodel on to Project Manager, Ryan Terrell, who assembled a team of all-stars, and looked over his team with the organization, scheduling , and responsibility anyone would want. The team members, flooring installers Zac and Cain, cabinet installers Kim and Edwin, counter top designers and cutters Bob and Dakota, painters Harry and Rich, electricians Javier, Reilly, and Spence, utility players and jacks of all trades Bryan, Chris, and Ashley, all the tile team members, and all the bench players who performed miscellaneous tasks, everyone functioned in unison like a well oiled machine. Thanks to everyone who helped create a kitchen of Eden. Who says San Diego doesn't have a championship team? Remodel Works is that team.

This letter is in appreciation for the wonderful help that Mr. John De Luca gave us in designing and walking us through the construction of our newly completed, lovely kitchen. My wife, Sharon, and I didn't quite understand what we were getting into when we started. Mr. De Luca helped us with the highest degree of professionalism. He guided us with skill, patience and genuine warmth. Decisions from cabinets knobs to placement of the microwave, to the design of a peninsula, to choice of materials for countertops - everything was done with loving care. Mr. De Luca's creative vision is truly innovative, remarkable and exciting. He transformed a closed, dark space into a burst of light. We can't say enough about Mr. De Luca. The kitchen is the highpoint of our home and quite a surprise to those who remember the old closed-in model. Remodel Works just completed my kitchen remodel and they did a wonderful job. I go into the kitchen and wonder whose house I’m in, it’s so beautiful. A complete room remodel is a stressful and dirty job, but Remodel Works made it relatively easy to go through. A few minor glitches occurred, but they were easily dealt with. I especially appreciated being provided with a daily schedule showing which workers were coming each day and what they were to do. The sub contractors were professional and they cleaned up at the end of each day. Mary Jennings, the designer, and Jeff, the project manager, were very professional and helpful. The project took a little longer than I would have liked, but the end result was worth it. The reviews show that some people found Remodel Works to be a bit pricey, but I found them to be competitive with other bids I received. My next project is to remodel my bathrooms and I intend to use Remodel Works again.

I would hire them again in a second. They were friendly, professional, and their work is superior. Thank you to Mary for doing my bathroom, and John for the kitchen.

This remodel was seamless from the get go. I contacted Remodel Works to get an estimate and John De Luca (Certified Bathroom Designer) called me back. We'd met a few years earlier when I was fielding bids for a kitchen remodel. We made an appointment and John came out to see what was in store. Within a week or so I had a detailed CAD drawing of the proposed bathroom hand and a contract to do the work. The pricing was great and the detail on the punch list was impressive. John even told me what punch list items I could do if I wanted to cut some costs - like painting. When I went up to their offices to sign the contract, I was able to choose most everything I needed for the bathroom: counter top, cabinet and finish, floor tile, shower tile, grout color. I spent an hour or so picking out the stuff I wanted and realized that had I gone with another contractor I would have had to source my own cabinet, counter top, etc. Before choosing Remodel Works, I'd already spent hours checking out cabinets and was overwhelmed by the huge amount of low quality stuff online and in the local hardware stores. I got quality items and was able to do it in one stop. I even asked John if I could open the front doors of the showroom to see my color choices in natural sunlight even though it was bucketing down rain. Everyone I had the pleasure to work with was most communicative. If there was going to be a delay in arriving or just a heads up on the progress, we were kept in the loop. From the Project Manager, Greg, to the workmen: Brian, Justin, Chris and Don, the entire experience was great. Where they'd scheduled 4 weeks for the project, the bathroom was usable within 2 weeks. Impressive to say the least. I hadn't been able to find a vanity mirror before they'd completed everything, but when I finally did, Greg came back and hung the mirror for me. I'd definitely recommend Remodel Works to anyone looking for a competitive, reliable and trustworthy company.

I can’t say enough good things about Remodel Works and the design process I experienced with John De Luca. Knowing that John has won many design awards, I was excited about working with him for my kitchen remodel. Upon our first meeting, I knew that John was going to be a pleasure to work with. After talking with him about my vision for my dream kitchen I was grateful that he managed my expectations with my initial budget right away so that I could plan accordingly. Due to an unexpected circumstance, I expressed a sense of urgency to start my remodel ASAP, and John immediately went to work. I had my first rendering of my new kitchen within 9 hours and within 2 days I was in the showroom picking out materials and finishes. His speediness did not lack in detail or genuine desire to include everything I wanted in the design while striving to keep costs down. I hope everyone looking to remodel their kitchen has the privilege to work with such a competent, patient, courteous, friendly and talented professional like John De Luca. His many distinctions are well deserved. This is my second project with Remodel Works and based on my first experience with my bathroom remodel, I am confident the construction process will be completed just as efficiently and will result in the expert execution of John’s design.

Remodel Works is a full service, professional local company. From my experiences, they have worked to refine their processes and products to provide well-planned, on-schedule projects with high quality results. This is my second project with the company. A few years ago they remodeled a smaller bathroom at a Rancho Bernardo condo for me. One of the company designers, Mary Jennings, helped us plan our bath remodel and choose our fixtures, tiling, countertops, flooring, and cabinetry. She provided computer-generated visuals of the project to help us in our decisions and made the process manageable. Mary knows her materials and helped us avoid any mistakes. She is also wonderfully easy and pleasant to work with. Once we selected our materials, we provided Remodel Works with a $1000 deposit and they generated the CAD drawings and put us on their schedule. A couple of weeks before the project, Brett Maguire, our project manager, came to review the drawings. He spent two hours at our home and identified several small changes that made a big difference in the final outcome. We were given a detailed schedule of the work that would happen each day and who would be coming to do it. All materials were delivered to our garage before the project began. The CAD drawings were posted in an obvious place in our house and every subcontractor knew to look for them before beginning work. All the subcontractors did high quality work. I would especially like to recommend the efforts of Highland Flooring and GD Tile, both of whom were very conscientious in their installations. Remodel Works cabinetry is also high quality and beautifully installed. Larry Ayers, a Remodel Works technician who did much of our plumbing, is speedy, pleasant and exceptionally capable. Our project was completed as scheduled. The workers were neat and cleaned up the work area each day. Any minor complaints were addressed in a timely and professional manner. We are enjoying our new bathroom every day.

Fantastic job by Eric Fasset, Design Consultant and Jeff Aldridge, Project Manager. We had sourced several contractors over the years but never found the right concept for our remodel. A neighbor recommended Remodel Works. After one meeting at the house, Eric Fasset came up with a unique design for our master and master bath. Once we agreed on the concepts, the details came together very quickly. Jeff Aldridge and team brought the entire project to fruition, both on time and within budget. My husband and I are very pleased with the outcome and the professionalism throughout the process.

This was one of the three firms to quote on my condo remodel. They were by far the most detailed and professional - definitely five stars! Their free quote included a site inspection with laser measurement of rooms and full 3D rendering and bill of materials for the proposed work. They truly understand design engineering and aesthetics as well as project management and delivery. However, they do charge a premium for these services and I just couldn't fit them into my budget. Of the firms that I had bid, they clearly offered the best VALUE. If you have a high-end job where you're passionate about the quality more than the price, you definitely want them to bid.

This is the second time I've contacted Remodel Works and was fortunate enough to have John DeLuca help me again with the plans of our bathroom remodel. Not only do you get undivided attention on your project, you get the convenience of choosing the cabinets, counter tops, tile, flooring, grout, hardware, etc., in one place. Their showroom selection is beautiful and after 2 hours, I'd chosen pretty much everything I needed. I'd have spent many, many more hours running around town or surfing the internet to find the many items we need to complete our project. John knew I had a budget and worked unbelievably hard to meet it, even telling us what work we could do ourselves to bring the quote down. Our project will begin in February and I'll be sure to write another review when everything's complete.

Remodel Works did a fantastic job remodeling my small hall bathroom. This bathroom had significant water damage so had to be gutted. John DeLuca designed a beautiful bathroom. Jeff, the project manager, kept me informed during the whole remodel, and Eric was here nearly everyday of the project completing the work that needed to be done keeping to the schedule. These three were my main contacts at Remodel Works, but everyone I talked to from the showroom to the job site, were friendly and professional. I am planning to have Remodel Works to do my master bathroom hopefully in the near future.
