Ryan Christenson arrived promptly for our 1st meeting to get an idea of the scope of the job, and was able to give me a pretty good guess as to cost. After that we went to their showroom to pick fixtures and finishes. Ryan was particularly good at keeping us on track, giving pros and cons to various items, and helping with color combinations. I don't feel like he tried to "up sell" us on anything, although I did upgrade some items. I felt like we received accurate, honest information to make our choices. At this meeting we received a detailed, itemized bid and our job was scheduled. Prior to the start of the job I met the project manager Pat Luich who confirmed all of the choices, provided detailed drawings of the bathroom, as well as a detailed schedule of the job with dates payments were due. Demolition was completed on the first day. A problem involving the tub drain was discovered. They quickly brought it to my attention, estimated the cost to repair and completed the repair... all without slipping on the schedule. From then on the work proceeded smoothly. From the written schedule I knew each day who would be working on our bathroom and what they would be doing. In addition, the work site was cleaned up at the end of everyday, with no debris, tools or materials sitting around or cluttering up other space. I am particularly happy with the tile Dennis did. We used porcelain tile for the floors and bath enclosure with an accent of small glass/stone tiles. The workmanship is outstanding and I absolutely love the bathroom. When the bathroom was finished both Ryan and Pat returned for a final inspection.
Description of Work: Our guest bathroom badly needed updating. I'd used Remodel Works to redo our other bathroom in 2005 with excellent results, so it was pretty obvious who I would call to remodel the 2nd bath. The bathroom was gutted and all fixtures, tile, mirrors, and cabinets replaced. Everyone we dealt with was highly professional and helpful. For instance, I was thinking about keeping the old steel tub and having it re-finished. Ryan Christenson pointed out that a new acrylic tub was only about $450 and they held heat better so baths were more comfortable. He was so right. We did replace the tub and I am so glad we did! I cannot recommend Remodel Works highly enough. Their workmanship is excellent, but I think the most impressive part of our experience was the smoothness with which the job was completed. All materials were delivered on time, the schedule was scrupulously kept, and the payment schedule was clear, so there were no surprises and no wasted time.

Remodel Works showed up on time, were very patient, explained the work, and as best as I can tell did an excellent job. They were very conscientious about not leaving dust all over my office, which adjoins the bathroom. Through out the process, they clearly communicated the schedule for work and payments and kept to it.
Description of Work: I just bought this place over a year ago and the bathrooms were a relative nightmare. Barely functional and certainly ugly, they cried out for remodeling. Remodel Works guided me through the materials selection process, replaced my non-functional shower stall, toilet, counter top and cabinets, shower tile and flooring. Electrical was upgraded to code, but no significant plumbing modifications.

Terrific experience from start to finish! Can't say enough good things about this company. Everyone from our sales person Eric, and our job person Rolf plus all the workmen that came to our house were very professional, considerate and nice. They blocked off our kitchen from the rest of our house to prevent dust from going from the kitchen to the rest of the house. They provided a temporary kitchen for us to cook on for a fee. They always cleaned up really well after a day of work and were always very prompt for appointments. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to have a low stress remodeling experience. Eric, our salesperson was very patient and took us around to granite yards to help us pick out our granite. Rolf, our project supervisor always kept us informed about what was going on and what the next step would be. After seeing how nice the kitchen turned out, we started looking around at the rest of our house. When the time comes to upgrade other areas, we will not hesitate to give Remodel Works a call.
Description of Work: Remodel Works replaced all our cabinets, installed new tile backsplashes and tile flooring. They also installed granite counter tops, removed window casings and installed new appliances for us.

My experience with Remodel Works was unexpectedley EXTREMELY HAPPY. All the pifalls that I've heard about from other people with their contractors never happened. We first met with Mary Jennings, the rep and kitchen designer. I was impressed with her professionalism and the time she took to work with us without pressure. She even went to stores to see various items that I had picked out as well as sent me samples of tile, etc. in the mail. I appreciated her positive willingness to work with my decisions. The team that came to my house was easy to work with, easy to talk to, and always explained exactly what they doing. I was handed a daily schedule to see who and what they were doing every day. They consistenly would prepare the kitchen before working and clean up after their work every day. Royce, the Project Manager, was above and beyond helpful in working with me and any concern I had. Gonzolo, Kevin, Brett, and Paul did excellent workmanship. The kitchen was completed exactly when they said it would be. Royce came back twice to check that everything was done correctly. As I said, our experience was more than we had hoped for and we would use them again.
Description of Work: We had our kitchen completely remodeled, including new cabinets, recessed and chandelier lighting, electrical, appliances installed, drywall repaired, walls primed, knobs, pulls, and faucets installed, plumbing, granite countertop installed, and backsplash put in.

Mary Jennings, the designer, was fabulous at designing the entire project. She came out and measured the rooms. All the flooring, cabinets and fixtures were on display in the showroom. She thought of everything and made the task simple. In addition, she was a delight to work with; friendly and personable. Pat Luich was the project manager. He was very professional, always on top of everything and worked tirelessly to keep the project moving forward smoothly. All the workers were very professional, highly detailed about their job and true artists. I was extremely impressed with how the entire project was accomplished. When I am ready for additional remodeling, I look forward to using their services again.

They were here when they said they would be and worked extremely hard while they were here. They were extremely careful to cover the floors and clean up each day. They stayed on schedule and were very professional. They solved problems when they came up (and there will always be issues in any home project). It was a remarkably easy experience. The bathroom looks great!
Description of Work: The actual job cost more than stated above because I was able to purchase some things and I also paid the electrician for running the extra circuits which we decided on after signing the contract. They were (Eric) willing to work with me on price and listened to exactly what I wanted. They did the complete demo of a small upstairs bathroom. They put in a cast iron tub (not easy to get up my stairs) and tiled the walls above the tub to the ceiling. The tile work is very nice as is the hardware. The shampoo niche and hand rails were put in exactly as we planned. They also installed a new vent fan, medicine cabinet, mirror( I purchased), new light in the shower and above the sink(I purchased),and shower curtain rod (I purchased). I kept the toilet and the flooring which were both fairly new - but they did fix the floor for the different configuration. I also tried to make the old vanity work but eventually had to get a granite top for the existing vanity to finish the look of the new bathroom. Pat, the supervisor, was not here very much but all the workers knew what to do (and I assume were in contact with Pat). This was not a full remodel but it still took about 8 full days to complete their part. We put in shelving above the toilet and the towel rack and intended to paint it ourselves but I ended up hiring a painter to that job.

This is our second project with Remodel Works and everything went as smoothly as in our first project. Our designer, Eric, was very helpful throughout the design and materials selection process. His expertise saved us from making mistakes and gave us a beautiful kitchen that we completely enjoy using. Royce was our capable project manager. He was absolutely fantastic throughout the installation. He completed the job ahead of schedule and on budget with the finest quality. All of the technicians who worked on our kitchen were polite, clean and quite competent. We couldn't have asked for a better process and result!
Description of Work: They gutted our 35 year old kitchen and installed new electrical, plumbing, maple cabinets, granite counter tops, appliances, exhaust hood, and lighting fixtures. We purchased the appliances and the flooring was contracted separately.

I just love my kitchen and it is two years later. It was expensive. We went over and beyond but we love it. They did everything. It was a good design and they did a great job remodeling it. They were pleasant and they respected our privacy. They sealed the whole house off from the work they did in our kitchen. We were extremely happy. They completed it fairly on time. We would recommend them. My kitchen is my favorite room in the house.
Description of Work: We used Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen to entirely gut our old kitchen and remodel it. They also raised the ceiling into the attic so we have more height.

We spoke to Remodel Works months before we had the work done as we priced several contractors. I liked that they had a showroom (no worries about a contractor taking your deposit and disappearing) and a place to show samples of their products. I spoke to the owner who I felt was very forthright in giving me info. He told me what could and could not be done for my price range. When I finally sat down with one of their designers - Mary - I told her that I had a very firm price limit of $20,000 and that there was no point in going over it. She actually designed me a bathroom that came in under $19000 originally . I changed a few things that eventually brought it up to the mark but I really appreciated that she took my budget seriously, did not try to pressure me upward, and came up with less expensive solutions such as semi-custom vanities and going to remnant yard for granite. When the remodel started we were very impressed by how clean and careful everyone involved was. The entire thing took less than three weeks. There as one hitch - the tub that was installed had a 'bubble' caused by the blowtorch used on the plumbing. Remodel Works came back to look at it, agreed that it was their problem and replaced it without any issues. No arguing or complaining or threatening needed. It is really nice to work with a company that stands behind it's work. I would definitely use them again if we needed them.
Description of Work: We had Remodel Works Redo out master bathroom. Everything was replaced - tub, shower, tile, vanity, sinks, mirrors , etc. There were a few items we picked out separately but they kindly installed them alongside their own products for no extra cost (ex. We purchased the lighting fixtures and they installed them). We paid separately for painting but used someone they recommended.

We met several times with the salesman/designer and chose rectangular sinks from the RW showroom and were assured that they would fit in the design. When installation began, the sinks were too large for the depth - front to back - of the bathroom counter. Mid-work, we were informed that smaller, rectangular sinks were not available. That was not correct as we determined later. We settled for oval sinks that don't complement the lighting fixtures that we had already purchased and that had been installed with the rectangular sinks in mind. (We could have had the original rectangular sinks if the designer had realized that the chosen sinks were oversized and required a deeper counter, or if the designer had suggested smaller rectangular sinks. We also had plenty of space for a larger, deeper vanity that would have accommodated the original sinks had the salesman/designer caught his error.) Next comes the fiasco with the granite. RW used a fabricator called CCM from Santee. They cut the granite slab for the shower seat correctly, but the cuts for the sinks were terrible, and the holes for the spread-faucet system were incorrect. RW offered us a discount to accept the poor workmanship from CCM. For us that would have meant living with a sink plunger that couldn't function properly, spread-faucet holes in the wrong places, and wavy sink cuts. We insisted that a new slab be purchased (We had purchased the first.). A new slab was purchased but we have no knowledge if RW or CCM purchased it. We cooperated by choosing a second granite slab that was similar to the first so that the shower area didn't have to be torn apart to accommodate a different granite seat. A representative from CCM came to the house and was shown the mistakes, shown what we wanted, and were told that they would rectify the disaster of the first slab. They cut the second slab incorrectly also..........! After the second slab was installed and the mistakes noted yet again, the RW project manager came and pulled the faucet handles to the extreme of the drill holes to try to rectify the alignment mistake, but they are still out of alignment. And, to make matters worse, we found that there ARE rectangular sinks that would have fit in the existing space. After the project was finished and our hectic life had quieted some, we found sinks online. When we asked why we were told that there were no smaller rectangular sinks, the answer was that we had been on a time crunch. That was true. But, we expected to have been given the choice of running over the time element. As we told RW, the bottom line is that we have a master bath with unwanted components. We have light fixtures that don't complement the oval sinks that we didn't want. We have a second granite slab that was cut improperly. We have spread-faucet handles that are different distances from the sinks. RW did offer to send yet another fabricator to try and modify the poor sink cuts, but, frankly, we did not have confidence in RW ability to rectify mistakes. We requested reimbursement after identifying these shortcomings, but the request was denied. The original design was wrong, and many of the problems started with that. We are not designers. When beginning this project, we were extremely busy and unable to look at every web site (sinks) and catalog. We chose many items at the RW showroom in order to accommodate the original time constraint, and we trusted RW to know their job. Consumers, learn from our mistake. Check everything - especially measurements. It is so true that buyers must beware!
Description of Work: We contracted with Remodel Works (RW) to install a new master bathroom. It entailed tearing out the old and installing a new bathroom. Our master bathroom is configured in two parts. There is a walk-in area from the bedroom that has a double-sink vanity. A door opens from there to a shower and toilet area. We have no major complaints with the shower and toilet area; nor do we have any major complaints with the worker who did all of the work excluding the electrical, shower door, and mudding. Our complaint lies with the design and workmanship of the double-sink area of the bathroom.

Response from Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen
Our clients are correct in that the sinks that were designed were too large for the depth of the countertop. This was determined before the installation was complete. When this was brought to the client's attenetion we also made them aware that there were other sinks available that would meet their design expectations but the client had a very defined completion date in mind for his project which would not have been met had we ordered these sinks due to a long lead time. We gave the client the option and he chose to use some undercounter sinks that matched another bathroom in the home. They gave us the OK to proceed. When the countertop was made the fabricator made a mistake and drilled the faucet holes 8" on center instead of 12". We offered the client $600.00 to keep the existingcounter but they wanted it replaced. We replaced the counter using the same fabricator. After completion I was told the counter was 1/8" off on the drilling and the edge wasn't as clean as it could have been. I told our client that I would send a different fabricator to finish the counter correctly but by this time, in his words, he'd :lost confidence in us". He said he wanted to be compensated. I told him I'd rather do the job right and complete the job to his satisfaction. The client signed our Final Check -Off sheet - this document gives them the opportunity to have any concerns addressed prior to making final payment. The clients never filled out the comment section above their signature, and they paid the bill in full. We at Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen strive for complete customer satisfaction. We have won the Angie's List Super Service Award each year for the past 5 years straight. In home remodeling there is always a chance of unforeseen problems - the mark of a good contractor is how the take care of them. If a client won't let us fix the problem there is not much we can do.

The positive experience began with a visit from Ryan to brainstorm ideas/options and to estimate costs. Project Manager Pat and his team of professionals did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. Rarely did this team stray from the written schedule. When an unexpected issue came up, their problem solving skills were creative and they kept the project moving forward. Pat communicated with me every day (sometimes several times a day) and the kitchen was clean and tidy when I returned home from work each day. The remodel was completed on time and on budget, my expectations were met.

The kitchen is beautiful. The entire Remodel Works team did an excellent job. They were clean, nice, punctual, and very good problem-solvers. Once we got started there were very few glitches and they delivered at every step of the way. They worked with me on the timing so that I could be present for some of the work and not during others times. The project took only 3 weeks from start to finish. Royce was excellent project manager, and Ryan did the design. There are a few minor things that I would change, such as the choice of faucet, which I am not crazy about. Only minor issue was that I had to remind them twice to seal the tile grout.
Description of Work: Undertook our first-ever complete kitchen remodel while living out of state and in another time zone. The small L-shaped kitchen was a challenge to design and very few options to consider.

Remodel Works drew up designs based on our preferences, proposed all products and materials, and carried out this complete remodel of a kitchen and two bathrooms. The design was excellent and the materials proposed and selected were in keeping with our likes and of very good quality. They recommended excellent trades (such as flooring contractor, electrician, painter). All the work was performed in a timely and professional manner. Remodel Works communicated regularly and promptly throughout the project, and was always clear and accurate with respect to options, budget implications, etc. The quality of work was impressive. We were out of state while the work was being done, which made it more difficult for the contractors. They went out of their way to keep us informed, sending us progress reports and photo updates. They were careful to minimize any negative impact on the neighbors. We highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again for future projects.

The entire process was smooth, from sales to design to construction. Our designer, Eric, and Project Manager, Royce, were professional and easy to work with. The technicians were all polite and skilled and they respected our property. They finished the work one day ahead of schedule. Going in we thought the price was too high, but they handled the changes encountered without asking for more money. In the end, we felt that the price was fair for what they did.
Description of Work: They removed a sunken tub, wall tile, floor tile, toilet and faucets. They built up the floor and installed a new slab-level tub with adjustible shower, shower tile, floor tile, glass shower enclosure, toilet, sink faucets and traps. They also retextured wall board.

From the start I found Remodelworks very professional. Eric, my design consultant, was very patient in going over layout, materials, process, and answering any questions. Once the work started a project manager was my main point of contact. I found them to be very professional, used quality materials, and the fit, finish, and overall quality was excellent. My place got dusty (to be expected I guess) but otherwise they cleaned up after themselves and generally respectful workers who were professional. They stuck closely to a schedule and the entire project was done in just under one month. Waiting for my granite countertop installation took a full week, which seemed a couple days longer than necessary but overall can't complain with the time line. They also seemed to accommodate any requests I had, such as travertine, and were definitely willing to work with me. I have to say it was one of the better experiences I've had dealing with construction folks and would use them again.
Description of Work: With the exception of a tile floor, completely remodeled kitchen, new travertine entryway, and remodeled bath with exception of shower. Cost of kitchen roughly 23k with 8k for small bathroom and entryway remodel.

Remodel Works is the best! They are very professional, punctual and take pride in the quality of the workmanship. Eric helped me with the design and Royce was the project manager. They responded quickly to changes and additions to the original work order and went out of their way to do a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Gutted existing kitchen and installed new cabinets, countertops and flooring. Replaced bathroom cabinets and countertops and installed new flooring. Painted interior (all walls and flat ceilings), installed hardwood flooring throughout.

Remodel works kept tight to schedules, kept me up to date, and did some fine work. Their tile work was especially handsome. There were a couple glitches (a poor decision on a threshold that caused a delay in finish date and required a few large tiles to be pulled and replaced; also a poorly flashed hood vent leaked when it rained and required some resurfacing and repainting of the ceiling in the kitchen. However, if I were to have a glitch, I am glad I had Remodel Works working for me - they have a real commitment to perfection. Both fixes were accomplished within a week of the first estimated completion date.
Description of Work: I had a complete kitchen and bathroom remodel done - quartz countertops, new and more extensive cabinetry in kitchen and bath, floor and wall tile-work in bath and kitchen, electical and plumbing update, etc.

They were very responsive, helpful, courteous, and professional. Every step of the process was done very well, on time or ahead of schedule, and up to the highest standards. If I had a question it was addressed right away and completely. The crew was in the house for over 6 weeks and they were a pleasure to work with. They kept everything as clean as possible, tidied up after themselves daily and were very careful of my home and belongings.
Description of Work: Remodel Works completely redid my kitchen and all the baths in the house, from the studs out. New tile, new fixtures, the works. They also replaced the carpet on the stairs with tile. I would have them do any other work I needed without question and would recommend them without reservation.

overall it went well and we were very happy with the work, but, we learned something along they way when shopping remodelers - materials strongly consider purchasing some of the materials directly from a supplier vs going through your contractor. for example, we used tile for our shower. by purchasing directly from a tile wholesaler, we saved quite a bit of money. - getting quotes ask the contractor to quote the job if: a) they supply the materials b) you supply the materials certainly, it's more work for you if you have to locate and buy some of the materials, i.e. tile, bathroom hardware, etc, but if you're on a budget and don't mind doing a little leg work, you can save quite a bit of money if you have a few extra bucks and don't want to do any extra work, it's much easier of course to let the contractor handle everything. if there's any problems with materials and parts and the contractor ordered them, everything is on them and their dime. if there's problems with materials or parts and YOU ordered them, you're liable and you could run into project delays and other issues that are on your dime so, there are pros and cons. but, some materials are easy to find, order, measure, etc. so my recommendation is with those items, i.e. tile, faucets, etc, order those yourself and have them delivered to your house (and inspect everything before you take delivery.) with more technical materials and parts you don't have comfort level with, let the contractor order those. then, just let the contractor know what you've purchased and they purchase the rest.
Description of Work: remodel works took out our old showers and put in new showers.

I was very pleased with the way they did the work. They gave me a list of what was going to be done, when it was going to be done and the people that would be here. I appreciated that. They were ahead of schedule and did it the way I wanted it done. I am hard of hearing and they worked with me. I think the price was fair. It turned out very nice and I've had a lot of compliments. They stayed in communication and let me know of any delays. I probably won't use them again because I don't plan to have to remodel my kitchen again.
Description of Work: I used Remodel Works the last of June to remodel my kitchen. They gutted it and completely redid it.
