They did a wonderful job! They'll take the whole project from start to finish, and we are so happy with the work. The price is a little high, but it's worth it for the quality you get. Nick, the project manager was wonderful - he even came back on a Saturday evening after work and finished up some things for us. He was very communicative and walked me through everything they were doing. They even made sure that the rest of my house, and my hardwood floor, didn't get impacted by the remodel. Eric, the salesmen, was wonderful too. I can't say enough good things about them, and I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: They helped us with a major kitchen remodel. They removed our current ceiling, and made our ceiling higher. They redid all the electrical in the ceiling, replaced our cabinets and back splash. They installed all new appliances, counter-tops, and custom cabinets.

I had a second floor shower that was leaking into the garage below and an angled garden window in the kitchen that was leaking. I got 3 quotes and decided to go with Remodel Works. They did a great job from start to finish. Their staff was very professional, particularly Kelly Steele. The work was performed to a high standard, nearly completely by their own people. Almost a year has passed since completion of the work (sorry for the delay in writing a review!) and everything has held up very well, speaking to the quality of the work. Minor problems arose, which is inevitable for work so complex, but you can tell a lot about a company not because problems arise but by how they are handled and Remodel Works handled them very well. There were some cost overruns but Remodel Works took steps to minimize the costs to me because they pride themselves on sticking as close to the original quote as possible. The principal problem that they were unable to remedy was that the work took much longer than quoted. The designer told me that the work would be completed in about 3 weeks, which was one of the main reasons I chose Remodel Works over their competitors. In the end, it took over 6 weeks. Again, in keeping with Remodel Works professionalism, they admitted their mistake and took responsibility, although no financial remedy was offered for their error. In the end, their professionalism, high quality work, and competitive price made the time overrun tolerable. I would use them again without reservation.

After reading about RW on Angie's List, we went to their showroom. Although we had no appointment, we were able to talk with Eric, a RW designer. We scheduled an appointment for him to take measurements of the bathroom and discuss what we wanted. He came within a few days and worked with us to decide what to change. We converted a bathtub shower to a walk-in shower and replaced the vanity and toilet. Eric helped us to make product selections and helped us choose a plumbing fixture that allowed the shower to be used either standing or sitting. The RW schedule was full at the time, so the work began approximately 2 months later. With the exception of the marble installers who put in the shower enclosure and countertop, all the workers were RW employees. Everyone was considerate and helpful. They were exceptionally neat and very accommodating, especially since this was the only bathroom in the condo. Every single worker appeared on time and on the day listed on the schedule. We had a minor hiccup with the shower enclosure, but Royce, our project manager, had the rework scheduled within hours of being notified of the problem. I highly recommend this company and plan to use them myself in the future.

Thanks for the kudos! Remodel Works take pride in focusing on our customers’ needs from the second they walk into our door until the very end of a project. We appreciate knowing you are happy with your new bathroom.
We were, and are in total shock after seeing on Angie's List, that Remodel Works of Poway received a super service award. Our experience with that company was a total nightmare. We were having our kitchen upgraded/remodeled starting June 18th 2015 (demo day). They still hadn't finished until Feb. 2nd 2016, and there are still questions remaining. The contract we signed with them stated that the work would be "substantially" completed with 25 days from the start of work. There were a few unforeseen delays which added maybe 10 to 14 days to the schedule, but here we are in February 2016. The number of days they actually worked on our kitchen project was 21, and there were 160 days between June 18th and the end of the year, excluding weekends. There customer focus was very poor. We called the project manager, Paul, several times with no call back for several days and sometimes weeks. We gave RW our deposit on January 31st 2015, but never received our "customer schedule" until May 18th. The quality of the cabinets and the installation of those cabinets was very poor. The designer, Ryan, would use the metaphor: "if you wanted Mercedes quality you should have paid for it". I quess we got a Ford or Chevy, but one would expect when you paid almost $28,000 that you would get a car with a new paint job, doors attached properly, and an engine that will get you to where you want to go. Bottom line is: we would never hire these people again, and we would never recommend them to anyone else. It's sad when you place your confidence in a company, and a lot of money, that they let you down the way we were.

As a return client, we appreciate your business and thank you for the feedback. One of the values the Remodel Works Showroom provides is the ability to see and touch exactly what you are getting. Throughout the process, we kept the client informed and encouraged them to stop by the showroom to review their cabinet selection, for which we did not get a response. Please contact us directly, if you wish to discuss further.

It was good. We had to have them come back about four or five times to redo caulking that was improperly done. But everything else was lovely. It cost 13 Grand and that was with Angie's List discount. I won't be using them for the kitchen. They did have to gut it really and do repairs on the wall. It was pretty extensive. It was very old and very damaged. The quality was good. That's why it was so expensive. It wasn't necessary to spend that kind of money on a rental. They were pretty fed up with us because we wanted to get it right.

We went with them because we saw Angie's List sticker on one of their trucks. We really didn't go and look for other remodeling companies because we thought if they have an Angie's List sticker they must be good. So, we just sort of went with them. We were actually disappointed. It looks nice but we ended up paying double what it cost. The project manager who was helping us, really didn't take a lot of time designing and trying out the tiles and things. So, we had to actually change tiles in our master bathroom because the one she recommended was too dark. They didn't bring products out to try it out with the lighting and it was just put together with the design. This was our first remodeling project and so, we didn't know anything about it. We just let the project manager help us pick things out and help us decide on things. When she recommended things we thought, "That makes sense." After we purchased everything and we tried to put it on the wall in the bathroom, it was too dark. So, my husband and I decided, We're going to go and look for the tiles." We actually went out ourselves and looked at the tile. We had the project manager purchase the tile and then had them put the tiles up. But then of course, we had to purchase the products through her. So, there was an overhead cost. When we returned the tile that we purchased that she recommended, we didn't get any money back. So, a $30,000 project ended up becoming almost $50,000. The other thing was, we picked out the backsplash tile for the kitchen. It looked great in the showroom and she said, "Yeah. That's the perfect one." The design of our kitchen is different from the showroom. So, the tile really didn't work. They were starting to put the title and we said, "Wait a second. Stop, because it doesn't look right. The lighting in the kitchen doesn't work with the tile we picked out." Then they had to get rid of the workers because they were going to a different project until we figured out what tile to put in. We were deciding if we wanted to rip it out or not. Then we didn't get the same people back. We got someone else because they were assigned to a different project now. This went on and on. So, a month and a half project ended up becoming five months. So, when people ask us, "I know you guys did the kitchen and the bathrooms, did you like your remodeling company?" I tell them, "No". I wouldn't recommend them to any of our friends. The workers that came to work were great. I was here everyday. I work from home but only three time a week. But I had to be here everyday for five months. They were great workers. The project manager and the business person who does the sales didn't know what was going on, half the time. We ordered a countertop and we were brought a different one. They put it in. I looked in the bathroom and I'm like, "Wait a second. That's not the one we picked." They kept blaming it on us and saying, "No, no. That's the one we picked." I said, "No. That is not the one we picked." When they looked at the paperwork they confirmed that that's not the one that they had picked. So they had to rip it out and then put a different one in. It was just ongoing disaster, one after another. It was a $30,000 project and it ended up becoming $50,000 and you would think that they would say, "Well, we'll meet half way," and they didn't. They didn't even want to meet us with the cost at all. They gave us $50 and said it was a stocking fee. We spent thousands of dollars on the tile and we got $50. We have a couple of broken tiles and I called them to repair it and I haven't heard from them.
Description of Work: They remodeled our kitchen countertops and sink. They also did the bathroom countertops and sink. We have two full bathrooms. They did those. Also, in the master bathroom, they replaced the shower and tiles. They did the kitchen backsplash tile as well.

Horrible. I wld not recommend them. I would actually tell everybody not to use them. Scratched tub...did not offer rain guard/spot reducer on shower door. First installed shower door with Crack which cld not be missed and waited for me to call them out....lousy silicone job around hinges...installed nicked mirrors had to reorder). I stalled wrong medicine cabinet(had to reorder). Electricity was out fr 2 weeks in bathrooms because was not up to code (yet another trip out). Cabinets not measured correctly...had to cage hinges and now will scratch inside of doors...tile around tub is poor workmanship..wl hold water if over splash and lines not even. Instalked hardware in tub wrong angle...so to correct they had to cut a hole in adjoining g bedroom wall. They said it was "within" their zone of workmanship....... Call other companies or be your own general contractor and hire plumber, tile person, shower installer, elec4rician...would save you 50%. I just finished my kitchen remodel and starting my other bathroom remodel next week and this is what I have done....they lost out on not only additional business from me but negative reviews as well.

Overall, it was an exceptionally positive experience. Although it was an expensive upgrade, I got exactly what I wanted and a year later I'm still in love with my bathroom. Royce was the supervisor for the project. He was very responsive, let me know who was showing up everyday and what was going to be done. Eddie and Dennis were incredibly skilled, nice, punctual, and cleaned up the work area daily. Originally, I was going to keep my dog in the back yard to prevent accidental escape, but when it rained, this turned out to be not necessary. All three gentlemen were very careful to keep my doors closed and my dog safe. As in every project there were a couple of glitches, and Remodel Works addressed them professionally and to my satisfaction.

This is an excellent company. We have used other contractors and never have been as happy as with Remodel Works. They have a team of folks dedicated to making it work. The designer helped us with tile, placement, etc. The foreman was in contact with us EVERY day to let us know what was happening, and what to expect. The actual workmen were superb. They knew what they were doing, showed up every day and kept the work flowing. The job was completed within the time frame. Couldn't be happier. Other companies may be alittle cheaper (we got two other bids) but they wouldn't do all the work and wanted to farm out the hard stuff. They also didn't have the design sense that Remodel Works has. Remodel Works is an A plus company. You won't regret using them.

We received a very detailed plan prior to beginning the project and were able to make a few changes. Prior to beginning the demolition and remodel we were given a daily schedule which named exactly who would be in our home. The schedule was followed to a "T" by RW. They even varied their start times in deference to our morning schedule. However, the granite vanity top vendor was not able to meet the scheduled installation time - that was their mistake not Remodel Works. Remodel Works & Pat, our Project Manager, made everything happen on time and the project was completed exactly on schedule. For the most part subs were not used except for the tile work (which was excellent) and the fabrication of the granite vanity top. The techs cleaned up the project each day and were very respectful of us and our home. We will definitely contact Remodel Works when we do our next project and hopefully they will be competitive.
Description of Work: Our entire Master Bath was gutted (removal of tub, sinks & vanity, large mirror, shower area, including all fixtures). We liked being able to visit their showroom and make decisions on all the products. Laura designed a beautiful new large shower area, vanity with 2 sinks & framed mirrors to match the vanity. We loved working with her and had worked with her when she was employed by another kitchen & bath firm. We searched her out and that is how we found Remodel Works. Of course, we checked RW out on Angie's List and were pleased to see their high rating. We also received a discount through Angie's List.

It started with visit to their showroom & then meeting with designer Mara. She listened to what we were trying to achieve & her design was totally dead on! Thank you Mara. There were a few hiccups along the way (as a matter of fact, at one point I was ready to walk away) but they ultimately came up with a great solution & I am soooo glad they did. We then met with Project Manager Kelly & got a detailed schedule of what was to be completed daily. I must recognize the person who had the courage to hire Kelly in this position based on her experience & talents rather than being scared by her gender. Not only was she very accommodating & detail oriented, but her high standards are not to be beat. We were so fortunate to have had Kelly & appreciate all that she did to make our experience smooth. All of the techs (Eric, Ryan, Paul, Chris, Aschley) were also committed to making sure everything they did was first rate. They were very dependable & completed the job on time. Remodel Works is certainly not the lowest price (nor were they the highest), but in this case, my experience was "you get what you pay for". They offer a nice assortment of quality products. Everyone knows how stressful a remodel is but their operating model ensures this is as well controlled as possible. I must say that I am very glad I chose Remodel Works & that my bathrooms are exactly what I envisioned. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

We had both of our bathrooms completely gutted and remodeled. We wanted bathrooms that would age-in-place with us, so we went with walk-in showers, grab bars, bench seating, hand-held shower additions, and easy-to-use faucets. Everything went off without a hitch, and the work was finished on time and on budget. In our front bathroom, we had the tub removed and replaced with a spacious walk-in shower. In addition to a shower head, we chose to have a hand-held shower mounted on the side wall to help with bathing and clean-up. We had a beautiful teak drop-down bench seat installed that looks very spa-like and takes up virtually no space. The walls are Piedrefina granite composite, and are absolutely beautiful and no-maintenance. The surface continues out of the shower and forms the counter-top for the under-mounted white sink. We chose a glass shower wall and door, and they make the bathroom look larger than it really is. We chose a brownish large rectangular ceramic tile for the floor and up one wall halfway - it's gorgeous. Our back master bathroom was also totally gutted, with most of the same materials used as in the other bathroom. We expanded our phone booth-size shower stall by stealing some space from a hall closet - what a difference! We now have 2 beautiful, accessible bathrooms that will serve us well for many years to come. The crew was great, professional, and clean. Our designer, Eric Lindroth, did an amazing job - no pressure whatsoever. We are more than pleased with the end results.

Our experience with Remodel Works was excellent. We worked with a designer, Mary Jennings, who was fantastic at taking our ideas and pulling together a design that was within budget and exactly what we wanted. Then, we got a list of what was going to happen, when it was going to happen, and who was going to do it. And then that's exactly what happened. The workers were always on time, kept in good communication with us and was very responsive to any questions we had. The work was top-quality and we have no doubts about recommending Remodel Works to anyone. We plan on remodeling our third bathroom and will definitely be working with Remodel Works again.

The job went extremely well from start to finish. It was completed on schedule at the initially agreed upon price and to our complete satisfaction. Importantly, the overall approach the company uses is well thought through and very thorough - with a clear emphasis on keeping you informed at all times and meeting all intermediate milestones. I was also continually impressed by the competence and commitment of everyone I met - from the initial exploratory discussions through the detailed project definition and on through the execution, everyone was absolutely first-rate.

Original estimate was reasonably priced, but then later revised upwards due to an error on their part. So they offered a discount to make up for their error. We asked for a quote with all the materials itemized separately from the labor, but were told they do not do it that way. Beginning of project was delayed 1 day later than originally projected, but completed within the time frame quoted. Quality of materials provided was good, and all employees we dealt with were professional.

Their designer (Mary Jennings) was very helpful and spent a lot of time with me going through options. Having items on display in their showroom was also really useful. Once the design was completed, I was provided with a daily schedule and an itemized list of work to be done. At several points along the way I was asked to verify that they had the right piece to install or that I was happy with the placement of an item. Their communication from beginning to end was superior. Amazingly, they kept to the schedule-not a characteristic frequently seen in contractors! The workers were also conscientious of my needs (to contain dust, primarily) and ran the air cleaner even when I wasn't home. It took a long time, but the job was done well. They are more expensive than most remodelers, but the effort they put in to making sure things were done correctly and the way I wanted them, and the absence of delays and lame excuses made the extra cost worthwhile. You get what you pay for. I recommend them highly.

I'm not sure when it came out. There's a clamp at each end of the door. It could have been cracked and no one saw it. If you dont see it, it could have been traveling. I went to clean it, then i saw the crack. I got a UV light, you could see it was a traveling crack. I have a warranty, I told them all I want is the glass, I would hire someone else to fix and replace it. I was polite and appreciate there work. I just want to the parts and I would do it versus having them come out and do it. If it exceeds over $48 for a 100% mark up. I can't get the door or the glass to replace it from the company. They will not sell it to a customer because I'm not a wholesale company They may only sell it to the company who originally ordered the door from them. I've been very appreciative for all of the help people have given me, however, no one is now responding. All I was trying to do was order a part and I need to order it from the manufacturer. The company is being unresponsive , leaving voice mails with constant no call backs.

We did not want to get bogged down by working with a company that did not provide a complete solution from design through final clean up. We got that from Remodel Works. Here is just a few items they provided for us: Design Cabinet Recommendation Appliance Recommendation Project Plan Project Schedule Project Management Craftsmanship Quality Workers Daily Updates Daily Cleanup

We had eight days from the close of escrow on our new house until we had to be out of our old house. We gave the specs to Remodel Works knowing it was a tall order to get the job done before we moved in. They pulled it off and we are very happy with the results. Timely, cost effective and quality workmanship. We would definitely recommend them and we will use the again on our next project.
Description of Work: Remodeled an entire hallway bathroom in 8 days. New sinks, vanities, tile, toilet, tub and shower. This was NOT a retrofit. They demo'd down to the studs and put all new materials in.

The initial contact through Angie's List stated that the provider would be contacting me within 24 hours. After 3 days I called the provider and they told me that they didn't know why I had not been contacted. Ryan, the salesperson, then called after a day. He came out to look at our job and was professional and knowledgeable. He said that his company starts 6 new jobs each week and they could easily handle ours. After several days Ryan emailed us a bid with no prices for each element of the job such as demo, plumbing, etc. but just a bottom line of $26,100. Because we were receiving several bids I asked him for more detail so that I could compare his bid with the others which were priced out by line item. Have not heard back from him at all after my request for cost detail on his proposal and it's been over a week. It turned out that his bid was significantly higher than the others anyway.

From start to finish the process was seamless. Remodel Works is very professional. I called they came out and we talked about what I wanted to do. They measured. Mary was my designer. I went to the design studio picked out my products. We discussed when they would be there and what they would be doing. The day the project started I was provided a schedule of what they would be doing and when it would be done and they were on track or ahead of schedule for the entire project. That included sub-constractors as well. The only glich in the whole process was the bull nose tile used in the bathrooms. I used tile from Arizona Tile. The field tile and the bull nose tile are not manufactured at the same location so this lead to color variation in the tile. We came up with a fix and I'm completely happy with the result. However, it might be better to incated that this might be an issue before hand and or use a different manufacturer.
Description of Work: Remodel Works remodeled my kitchen, and two bathrooms. New tile, tub, toilets and sink/counter in the bathrooms. In kitchen, new cabinets, counters, tile backsplash. Kitchen cabinets reconfigured. New appliances installed (hood, dishwasher, refridgerator)
