Plumbing Plus

I am beginning to highly question Angies List on quality of service providers. Plumbing Plus is my 3rd plumber in a little over a year I have called using Angie’s List. They are based in Poway. The guy sent over to my house took less than 30seconds to look into the main control panel and advised me I needed a new WH despite my unit was only 5 years old? When I asked him to prove his analysis all he said was that he was able to discern through my NOTES he had in his car - (what notes? from a 20 sec phone call I did to schedule this guy that morning)? I asked him to check the pilot light and this is when He told me it was still on. I seriously thought this was the issue that the pilot light simply went out. When I demanded he show me the flame he quickly turned the knob on outside before I was able to get close (I saw this). It was at this time I saw the flame and asked him to double check inside the house to see if my hot water came back on. He refused. he told me he didnt need to check anything further. He never stepped foot in my house, never showed me (the customer) valuable insight to why he considered my GE WH in dire need to be replaced. He refused to show me anything. I finally had him leave. I called the 800 number on the WH and was told everything was still under warranty and to check my water as they believe the plumber I just delt with was a con man. I walked in the house and whalla, my water was already back to hot. I can't believe this plumbing business has so many good reviews as they certainly sent to my house a complete con man. I dont know if he thought because I was a woman and mentioned that it may be the pilot light (that gave him the green light to try to convince me I needed a whole new unit)? I am a business woman, Home owner and not born yesterday. This guy apparently is no business man, has no professionalism even to his brand. I since googled what he told me "he thought my issue was"..in all the reviews I read on how to troubleshoot my issue they said to check the water at different sources in the home, (he never stepped foot in my house), to double check if there is debris, dust on the filters, dip stick could be bad, numerous other things. This man didnt do any of these just simply stood as far away from my WH as he could (I noticed this too) telling me I need a new WH??? No way do I need a new WH only 5 years old. GE is NOT a bad brand (maybe not high end) but i never heard of the ones he was talking about. I asked him if it could be other things (before I realized it was simply the pilot light) and he was so sketchy and shady I finally just said stop talking. I didnt believe anything out of this guy's mouth. he was sloppy, unprofessional, not organized, not "present" and treated me like I had no accountabliity to what I consider a major investment. Glad to see him gone and I will never use this plumbing service again. I hold the owner accountable for sending me this quack to my house - first impressions are everything. The only thing I can give credit for is after I demanded to see my pilot light on he turned it on hense my staying home from work that morning was not in vain.

Nathan arrived on time during the scheduled window. He went to work in the shower and replaced the leaking shower valve with a new pressure balancing valve, chrome lever handle and chrome-finish remodelers plate. The existing shower head was evidently warped and was replaced with a standard replacement. ( Nathan said he will return to install a new standard screw in head when I purchase at no additional charge.) He then proceeded to replace angle stop and valve that was original to the house and was leaking as well as replace the old faucet with a new one in the master sink. I was at work and my significant other was there, so Nathan called me at work to tell me that he had to drill a larger hole for the faucet install and there was about a 10 % chance that the sink would crack. I authorized the install. The shower and faucet install went very well! I received great feedback from my significant other. Nathan was prompt, professional and I believe that this shower fix will solve the leaking problem in the master. I actually had another plumber fix the leak in July 2015 and it began leaking by December. They did not even suggest enlarging the access hole and to use a plate to cover the repair. They worked in the existing hole and did not accomplish a lasting repair. The second suggestion from the previous plumber was to open the bathroom wall and then hire a drywall person which would have been well over $1500 just for the shower. I will only use Plumbing Plus in the future. They did an excellent job and had good suggestions for repairs.

It went well. I recently had a water heater flood and he had to work around the restoration people. He was very efficient and helpful.

Called Plumbing Plus and they were on the premises within 1/2 hour. The 2 workers were very professional and explained all costs and solutions. They were done within an hour and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving.

The Plumber for this company provided a grossly overpriced estimate/quote on basic plumbing repair services. The repair services I required were reinstalling the kitchen sink plumbing fixtures to include the garbage disposal after having my kitchen sink repaired. The Plumber grossly exaggerated the difficulty and the amount of work required and quoted a price of $500 for repairs which an experienced plumber could complete in 30-45 minutes. Subsequently I referenced a plumbing installation video on YouTube and completed the re-installation myself in one hour. Price gouging seems to be par for the course for this company. The professional credibility of this company is suspect...I would never use this company again and I caution other consumers to be aware of this company and proceed with caution!!!!

The repairs were done quickly and effectively. Isaiah was very profession and helpful in detailing needed changes. Very satisfied. We've used this company before for a variety of repairs and have always been pleased with the results and the alacrity with which they were achieved.

Showed up on time, answered my questions. Professional.

Isaiah was very courteous and professional. He had the required part on his truck... another plumber did not. He answered all of my questions, even about other plumbing issues, and his work was very clean and tidy. Also, he dealt nicely with my home warranty company, and did not make that part a hassle at all. Thanks!

Isaiah Maher arrived within the 2 hour window to service my tankless water heater. He gave me a couple of options and explained each of them in terms I could easily understand. Once he started working on the water heater, he explained everything he was doing. Isaiah was efficient and professional, I was very satisfied with his service.

I’ve had mixed experience with them. They are prompt and responsive but they are very expensive.

Garrett did an outstanding job. He showed up at the time he promised, and did the work both quickly and thoroughly. As part of the plumbing inspection, he found a broken water shut off valve on one of the toilets, and was able to fix it for a small additional cost. I absolutely plan to use Plumbing Plus again in the future, and would recommend them to anyone looking for honest work at a decent price from a professional and personable plumber.

Terrible quality. On the metal supply the pipe is already leaking. I had them comeback and fix it and it is leaking again. On the install of the vanity, they scratched the marble floor tiles on the install. I would recommend you use another plumber and save yourself having to refix.

We called on a Saturday afternoon and Isaiah Maher came within the hour. He explained in detail everything he was doing. He was very proficient and trustworthy. He snaked the kitchen pipes and replaced a pipe. He also replaced a defective pressure regulator.

My old water heater started to leak. I called Plumbing Plus and they sent a tech out immediately. He removed the (23 yr old) water heater, and discussed options of what to replace it with. It was located in a small closet inside the house. I have oak hardwood floors and the seepage had saturated the floor. I've never had to use my homeowners insurance in 30 years. Basically it never even occurred to me to do so until Robert, the plumber mentioned it to me. Robert suggested a Navien tankless water heater, due to the limited space. As well, he suggested a Flow-Tech System anti-scale device since I live in Escondido and the water is HARD. I LOVE THIS SYSTEM. To me, it feels like I have soft water. This all has a great warranty, and a free inspection. The tech did a superb job installing the system. Everything was neat, tidy, level, and space was used efficiently. Robert is a master of his trade. The job went seemless...he made it look like such a simple job...and this is plumbing in a 60 yr old house! I will be using Plumbing Plus' services soon to make unrelated repairs, updates, and installations.

Isaiah, the plumber from Plumbing Plus, showed up on schedule. After checking the plumbing under the sink, he knew exactly what the problem was. He then cleared the clog in the drain by using a rotor-rooter like device. He was very efficient and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better plumber.

Robert and Jared (in training) arrived on time and were ready to work. It took two days and part of a third to finish all that needed to be done. At the end of a work day the site was left clean. Robert was very particular about his work and I appreciated his efforts in making sure it was done to his higher standards! The communication with the company with excellent! My questions were answered and I received emails and text message as follow ups if I had any concerns. Customer service is very important to me and I was not disappointed. Although the job was quite expensive, I felt I got my money's worth. I am confident that if any problems arise in the future with the equipment they will be taken care of by Plumbing Plus quickly and efficiently!

Water problems are never pleasant but the plumber can make all the difference in the world. Ours did -- well now ours. We called Plumbing Plus. The handler clearly was quite busy but he was courteous and efficient given the urgency of the situation -- and within a couple of hours Isaiah Maher was there scoping out the situation and recommending a path forward. There were some issues but Isaiah exuded an air of calm and a sense that despite our time pressures all would be fine. In the end, he came through. We were saddened to find out he was booked when we needed a return visit to complete the water heater installation and delighted that he re-worked his schedule to be accommodating. All in all, and A+ all around. In sum, Isaiah was professional, helpful, efficient, understanding, and courteous in addition to being highly knowledgeable and a creative problem solver. No hesitation in recommending him.

Technician arrived early in the time block which is always good. Estimated the time and cost. Both of which were nearly exact estimates. We had warranty parts to be replaced to stop a water leak in our Tank-less Hot Water Heater. After the Heat Ex-changer was replaced there was some difficulty in regaining hot water service to the home. This required some extensive troubleshooting as well as calls to the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Our technician kept talking me through the possible scenarios until we hit on the correct fix which was checking and adjusting the gas flow pressure to the unit. A short 30 minutes later, the job was done, we have hot water again, and there is a happy Home owner and Technician. Outstanding work from Plumbing Plus. Feel free to send Nathan to my home any time I call you for service! Well done.

It went fine, got a thorough check up but serviceman was constantly telling me I needed additional services he couldn't show me justification for purchasing. He continued to talk about mineral build up that he simply couldn't find.

We purchased the Water-Heater Flush voucher for $99.00 and needed additional parts (i.e. flush kit). For some reason the voucher in total was not applied to over flush service that was done. With that said, the work done was completed to our satisfactory, on-time and no fuss aside from service voucher issue mentioned.

They took a little bit of time because they didn't call me back right away. I had to call them again; it was a little miss communication there but otherwise it was not too bad.

The gentleman that provided the service was very professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, when he left our home he forgot to reset a dial that he had changed. So we did not have hot water over the weekend. When I called on Saturday they said they could send someone out for about $250 to check to see what was wrong but they thought they would need to order a part anyway which would take until the next week. I told them we would wait until the next week. When the original service rep showed up he immediately saw the dial he forgot to reset and the problem was solved. It was a simple mistake. I suggest in the future that they walked the customer through a couple of check points over the phone when a problem like ours happens. We would have fixed it immediately.

The technician showed up on time and did a good job on flushing our tankless hot water heater. He went out of his way to answer any questions we had. We wouldn't hesitate to call Plumbing Plus again. VERY GOOD SERVICE PROVIDER

This service provider was terrible and unprofessional. He showed up to my house for a comprehensive exam and did not even know what that involved. His work caused more of a mess than when he showed up. I think he snaked the line the wrong way. By the time he left, the toilet water was black! He did not do any of the things on the list. He stated he would call back in the morning and tell us how much the repairs would be ($700), when he did most of the damage and did not even check any of the problems he was supposed to check.
