Was able to schedule an appointment for the next day.Plumber was on time and professional.Was absolutely shocked at the estimate but I wanted to complete these minor repairs.REPEAT--Minor, Minor, Minor Repairs.Price was too high that I am bothered that it would encourage ME to do it myself.That should not be the choice I have to make--fairly priced, minor repairs should be available from professionals.Even with discounts (angie's list and negotiated) the price was TOO high.This was the third time I used them.It will be the last.

We needed a gas line for our new gas dryer. Since we already had a gas water heater, my husband was planning to do the job himself based on youtube videos. THANK GOODNESS FOR TOM! Tom got back to us within hours of an estimate request. He was able to schedule something right away, and the whole job took 10 minutes. The price was great (especially being stretched as new homeowners!).

All aspects of Plumbing Plus's performance were outstanding: -Within an hour of my initial call a workman arrived to inspect the job, prepare an estimate and schedule the work. -Two workers arrived on schedule. They removed the W/D from the closet, installed the regulators and replaced the W/D in 1 1/2 hours. What follows shows the outstanding nature of the Plumbing Plus work. Before proceeding to the drywall repair, the workmen tested the W/D. They found it to be completely inoperative, apparently due to lack of electrical power. After determining that power was reaching the equipment, they once again removed the W/D from the closet and disassembled it to expose the electrical terminal block. They found that the original installers (Aztec Appliance) had grossly overtightened all the screws and had broken one. The workers figured out a way to repair the damage with unused parts from the block. They replaced the W/D in the closet, and found that it worked properly. They then repaired the drywall and installed an access panel to facilitate future repairs on the regulators. Throughout all this, the workers remained courteous and professional and did not even mention any extra charge for repairing the W/D. In summary, Plumbing Plus did an outstanding job on the work for which they were employed, and spent at least an extra hour repairing some damage caused by someone else. The company is now my first choice for plumbing work.

Saturday, 3:30 PM. I was using the garden hose and the faucet broke off from the rusted pipe and water gushed out ! I had to shut off water to the house ! Plumbing Plus answered the phone promptly, contacted John in the field, and he came as soon as he could. He explained the cause of the problem to me, did the repair noted above in a few minutes, and checked the rest of my outdoor faucets for a similar potential problem. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. These are my future Plumbers for life!! Thanks Angie's List

We had a contractor nail a pipe through the drywall by accident but we all did not know. Three months later, in the midst of the night, the pipe broke and there was water everywhere in our bedrooms and bathrooms. I called Plumbing Plus first thing around 7 am and they came very early, I think before 9 am. He found where the pipe was broken thru the drywall, fixed it fast, and he also did some other repairs. We had him perform other preventive measures throughout the whole house such as replace the snake pipes with the flexible steel pipes in all sinks, and also he fixed the hammering sound we would hear when we turned on the water with a very simple fix that cost under $200 (other plumbers quoted us to have the whole house replumbed). The repair itself was about $382 which the insurance reimbursed us for, and the rest of the $1200 was for all the other work we wanted him to do while he was there. We were very happy with his work.

Randy that came out to do the installation was VERY friendly and knowledgable. He mentioned he has been with the company for 16 years. That was a good feeling. He also kept me in the loop the entire process. He was very careful and although the job was a bigger mess than I realized as they had to cut part of the marble in the shower which produced a fine mist of dust. Randy was very polite and although we told him he didn't need to clean up and we could have our maid clean it. He insisted on at least cleaning up which we felt was great. The only minor glitch is that the hole where the old shower head was, Mike told us that the new Hans Grohe rainfall shower head would be in front of it but it was a different configuration than he planned. So we had a very small hole in the marble. Randy offered several options including installing a new piece of marble (we had extra marble tiles from when it was renovated before), or just installing a small round chrome piece in the marble that was flush. It's hardly noticeably and we don't mind at all. We know the company wasn't at fault so it wasn't a big deal. Randy came out today and installed the cover. It looks great. Most people won't spend this kind of money on a shower head but we felt it was worth it on something you use every single day (actually we use it twice a day). It was well worth it. We've had a chance to use it a week now and we really love it. Randy did a great job installing it. He mentioned when he was installing it that he never installed this particular model before but he did a great job! Definitely I'd highly recommend this company and in fact, I had Randy take some measurements for some bathroom counters as I'm interested in changing out the tiles for Carrera Marble counters and changing out and upgrading the Moen fixtures that were here when we bought it.

They did a good job with the estimate, but they were not the lowest bid.

He was a very nice person. The water was not coming from a pipe, but from an AC unit. He was very professional. It is nice to have someone you are comfortable with in your house. I am glad Angie's List has people you can trust!

Ray O. was very helpful. Although, he arrived an hour late than the scheduled time of 9 AM he was able to complete all the tasks within 4 hours. First, he shut off the main water supply to my row of townhomes. He opened all the main faucets of the units to drain out water. He cut the copper pipe. He used a shop vac and he siphoned out the remaining water with a hose and his mouth (Lol). He quickly installed the new shut off lever so he can turn on the main water supply so my neighbors can have running water (how considerate of him). He then installed the new regulator valve, sweated the pipes, applied flux, etc. I was impressed how fast he finished the first task. The second task he removed an old, rocking toilet in my downstairs bathroom (dated from 1986). Once he lifted up the toilet we saw roots growing out from the closet flange. He showed me an old plumber's trick to prevent the roots from growing. He requested 30 pennies then he aligned them around the closet flange (he said roots do not like copper and pennies have some copper in them... we'll see if it works). He's very easy to talk to and has a lot of plumbing knowledge as he has been in the business for 30 years! He cleaned the gunk from the flange and he set the new wax ring on the new toilet and he set it down on the bolts. He installed the tank and connected the water supply line. The toilet worked. No leaks. The only issue I had was the toilet seat didn't seem to align right. But, it's an easy fix and I will adjust it later. The third task was a bit more daunting. He had to remove an old bath tub faucet that was obviously the wrong handle because it had caused a leak through the wall and down to the ceiling below and onto my dining room table. The screw of the faucet was corroded and rusted. So after a few trips back & forth to his truck he finally removed it with a hacksaw. He did not give up! He was very persistent. He finally removed the shower cartridge and installed a new one. It was tricky re-inserting the retainer clip. He then removed the limey & corroded bath tub spout and installed a new shiney one. The next shower faucet was easier to remove as it was the correct handle. He did the same as the third task but no hacksaw required this time. Overall, I was impressed by the technician's plumbing knowledge and he was able to fix everything I had requested all within 4 hours despite him arriving 1 hour late. If any suggestions I would request a courtesy call to the customer saying he will be late. I will definitely use them again for the price and angie's list discount. A $1300-$1500 job cost me less than $1000! Thank you!

The plumber arrived promptly. He was an older man so I was concerned that he might not be able to wrestle the water heater out of it's closet by himself, but he did it with no problem. He removed the old water heater and installed a new one. He said that the new laws required that he change the old rigid pipes that go into the water heater be replaced with flexible hose for earthquake reasons. That makes sense to me and I'm glad he did it. He also added a strap around the water heater, also for earthquake reasons. One of the reasons we were having the water heater replaced was because we had noticed a gas smell around it. SDGE came out and confirmed that we had a gas leak and the SDGE serviceman showed us where it was. It was in the pipe that leads from the water heater through the wall of and into our house. (Our water heater is outside). The leak was very, very small but he showed us the tiny bubbles where the gas leak was. However, by the time the plumber came to our house and looked for the gas leak in the pipe, he could not find it. He covered the pipe with some soapy stuff and showed us, and we couldn't see it either. I was desperate to not have our gas shut off because the weather was cold and we would have not had any heating in the house, so we agreed with the plumber to just put the new water heater in and see what happens. He did tell us that the water heater would have to be removed to fix the gas leak if we ever found it. I have to give him credit, he really did look hard for it. Maybe the leak was in a different pipe? (wishful thinking?) Well I still smell the gas so I know the leak is still there so now I have to get it fixed. However, I don't blame this company. It's not their fault. They did an excellent job, left the area clean and were efficient. My only issue is that I am retired and on a fixed income so the $1400 price tag was a little steep for me. I figure a new water heater and new flexible pipes probably didn't cost them more than $600 total. ( I checked prices at Sears). That would still leave about $800. It took 3 hours total from the time he arrived until he left. That works out to about $250 per hour. Even with overhead that's steep. I'm not saying they overcharged me, for all I know that may be the going price for changing out water heaters and they only charged what everyone else is charging. I just know it was too steep for me. They did an excellent job and I was happy with the work they did. I won't use them again though because I just can't afford them. But they did good work.

Job was done very well. Service member was on time, courteous and informing. Job was done in a timely manner. We have used them a couple other times, before I joined Angie's List and the results were still the same. We had a leak under the slab in our bathroom and they did a great job taking care of that. Very understanding, as in the midst of that we had family emergency and they secured what they did until we were able to complete.

Mike sent 2 of his plumbers to my home to correct a problem in the shower and with the kitchen faucet not remaining stable on the counter. there were some difficulties getting to the exact cause of the problems but Mike, the owner sent a second plumber who was able to diagnose the problem in the shower but not fix the kitchen faucet. Mike took several hours of his time to make sure I would not have to pay another plumber to install a new kitchen faucet, he took time to talk to the manufacturer of the facet, keeping in contact with my, and coming to my home on a Saturday morning to install the new faucet. He encountered difficulties which ended up taking him several hours and did not charge me for his time and work. The faucet is in and working and the problem in the shower is corrected. Mike showed a lot of integrity to make me, the customer, feel I received the service I was looking for at a fair price. In fact, he spent much more time than I had originally paid him for. He was patient and persistent and had a friendly demeanor in the face of may frustrations. Thank you Mike for your hard work and sound business values.

Plumbing Plus provided the time and cost that I found acceptable.John showed up on time, for the evaluation and quickly determined the estimated cost as well as the recommended unit.The next day he arrived on time with the unit and installed it at the estimated price.John was very courteous, kind and understanding; his mannerism was professional and he displayed great knowledge in not only the installation of the water heater but he imparted tips on proper maintenance as well as ways to enhance efficiency and longevity of the unit. He also removed the old water heater and the enclosure. Excellent job and highly recommended.

We were a bit disappointed to have our original appointment canceled and rescheduled due to another customer's plumbing emergency, but having had plumbing emergencies in the past ourselves, we certainly understood. Once Randy arrived at our home, he was professional from start to finish and did outstanding work. He looked at everything on our list of to-do's and made recommendations about what to do about each. He provided a written estimate of the work and then completed everything within a few hours. As a bonus for us, he happened to have two parts that we needed for the work, which may have otherwise meant an additional trip to our home. We were thrilled with the quality of the work and Randy's expertise and will definitely call Plumbing Plus again in the future.

Initially called out to inspect and clean the washer machine drain line due to spillage. The service technician carefully listened to our explanation of the problem and proceeded to run a snake down the pipe. After cleaning the pipe, a test was run and the pipe was still spilling water when the washer drained. A very close examination revealed that there was a drain adapter jammed in the pipe that allowed some drainage, but was blocking drain venting. He tried unsuccessfully to remove the blockage without disturbing the pipe. He eventually had to remove a section of drywall to get at the pipe and remove it since the blockage was too far down for tools to get at. He was very clean and efficiently removed both the drywall and a section of pipe to get at the blockage. He then removed the blockage and replaced the pipe with a new fitting and pipe section. He also cleaned up the debris and offered to request drywall services at a reasonable price (Plumbing Plus uses drywall contractors). The new pipe worked great under test and we were back in business. The whole process took less than 2 hours. I was very happy with the level of service and professionalism.

I asked for an estimate, but they got so far into the job to determine the cost, I decided it was less expense to give them the job then pay them for their time spent. However, the job was completed promptly but rather expensive. Like the old saying: you get what you pay for, which in this case was quality work.

They were excellent. I rate them very highly. They were always on time. Their pricing was fair. If there are any problems about it, they stand behind it. The water heater was in the $1000 range. The valve was in the price range of about $120 or something like that. I would use them again in the future.

Took remedial action due to difficulty tracing leak. Controlled cost by working within our budget.

The plumber, John was extremely helpful, he even went a step beyond and helped me with the warranty information on my broken water heater which was installed by a different company four years ago, saving me at least $ 2000 in the process:)) I have a general fear of plumbers. But this company, and the plumber was extremely professional and knowledgeable. A wonderful experience overall. Thank you Plumbing Plus.

Approximately 1.5 hours after I called (on a non-emergency call!), Larry, from Plumbing Plus, showed at my door. Courteous and exceptionally professional, he reviewed the project and moments later handed me a printed estimate. Larry invited my DIYer questions while he worked and answered all of them skillfully and easily. He finished sweating the pipes (after finding another leaker) and cleaned up the area. Larry did a terrific job! The hourly rate and per part prices were on the high side (despite the 10% Angie's List discount) thus my "C" grade in price. Otherwise, a terrific company with which to do business!

He arrived right on time, and brought along an extra body so it took both of them about 4 hours to do the work. They cleaned up all the debis and other mess made durning the renovation.

They were very efficient. They did what they said they would do . They handled everything very well. The quote was right on target. They always responded to my questions in a timely fashion.

When he started to work on the faucet that I had asked him to come for, he said he didn't have the correct supplies with him. He said he had to go back to his office in Poway to look up the parts. I think he could have looked up parts at the hardware store or even on my computer. So he was unable to drive 3 miles to the Home Depot/Lowes hardway stores and purchase the washers or whatever was needed. Instead he said he was going to charge me $200 more dollars to fix the one faucet leak. When I asked why, he said because he would have to drive a long way to get back! (Poway and Lakeside are not that far apart!) So I ended up without the dripping hot water faucet being repaired at all! In addition he told me I needed a water pressure regulator to the house. He said I didn't have one. I had to show him that I had one. He said I needed a new one and he would do it for over $600. He was courteous and professional. I just feel since I called about the hot water leak, he should have fixed it.

The process went very smoothly, and the owner and employees were friendly and professional. We will definitely use this company again.
