Plumbing Plus

I explained it above, but will re-post here: The plumber arrived on time to look at my leaky toilet and shower/tub faucet diverter.He temporarily fixed the toilet because he do not have the correct replacement parts.He could do nothing with the shower faucet/diverter because again he did not have the correct replacement parts. He left and said he would do some research to locate the correct parts and then call me on Monday, August 6th with the results of his research, and the estimate to repair.It is now Thursday evening, August 9th, and I have yet to hear from him. On the plus side, he did not charge me for his visit, and I still have the coupon.But no work was performed, and I still have the issue with the shower faucet/diverter. I would rather have spent some money and fixed the problem, so I am a bit disappointed. It was very difficult to choose the letter ratings because while he was here he was great, but he never followed up as promised and I still have a problem that needs to be fixed so that is a major disappointment.

The plumber was on time, did his work competently, and offered suggestions in dealing with an outside irrigation drain. We were very pleased with his work and his demeanor.

I had this company out to give me an estimate on street to house water line repair. We have one of the members of this company living in our community and he is a very nice guy, so when I saw them on Angie's list I called them first. When the plumber came out to give estimate and stated that his co-worker lives across the way he proceeded to speak badly of his co-worker, he never sent an estimate and never called me back. I decided to go with another company. If you can not treat your co-workers with respect you will not treat me with respect. Non professional. Will not call them again!

see above. By the way when I got the part it took me about 3 minutes to install it.

The price was extremely reasonable and such a deal! It was teriffic.

Ray came from Plumbing Plus and he was prompt and on time. I gave him an overview of the 2 jobs I needed his help on. I found his manner and responses to my questions to be a little off-putting. He made me feel like I was bothering him with my requests or that they were an inconvenience. His manner was a little brusque. He didn't think he could do much for us on the washing machine front, but he also didn't help with suggestions or ideas. So I focused him on the bathroom sink first. The sink needed clamps to re-attach it to the cabinet and the clamps we had purchased from Home Depot didn't work and he didn't have any that he felt would work either. (He said they tend to come with the sinks so we'd have to special order.) I was happy that he tried to find a solution for it vs. just leaving and saying he'd return after ordering a part. Ultimately he used the old hardware and bent the clamps to get it to reattach to the cabinet and then caulked it into place. I mentioned that our toilet had loose caps (the kind that hide the bolt on the floor) and asked how we could stick them down. He said I could try x, y and z, but didn't offer to help. I said I would look for something that could work, however, he finally said "oh, maybe I could caulk them down" which is what I was sort of hoping he'd do. After finishing the sink and caulking the caps down, he started saying he was already at a $159 service charge and do I want him to do anything with the washer. I was a little off-put by that so I decided we'd try to manage the washer drain on our own. I said I had the Angie's List coupon (which I mentioned when I booked the appt) and he argued with me about the price I should pay. He tried to get me to pay the difference between the $159 and the $49 I paid. I kept saying that it wouldn't be a "deal" if I paid the full price. I was even showing him the coupon I had printed out. He argued that it was either $49 OR $100 off. Finally he said he'd call his office to check. When he finally came back, he said the visit would be "no charge" because I had the coupon. I was relieved about that, but I was also kind of relieved the visit was done. In his defense, he did mention that the coupon had created a lot of confusion. While he did get the sink attached effectively, I felt like I was inconveniencing him with the things I wanted him to work on. To that end, I'd probably look to another plumber for anything else I need done.

Called four plumbers (one from Angie's List) the last month to get them over for an estimate to install a recirculating pump on my hot water heater. After no-shows, no call backs and sky high estimates, I saw Plumbing Plus had a coupon deal for $595 advertised in Angie's List. This morning (9 am) I called Plumbing Plus after purchasing the coupon. Kelly answered the phone and was a delight to work with. She scheduled me an appointment between 10 am to 12 pm today. At 10:45 am Jim Hammond arrived and by 11:45 am installed a Grundfos water recirculating pump on my water heater ! Now THAT is service ! Jim recommended replacing some Home Depot water lines in my bathroom where the hot water valve (regulates the hot water temperature) is installed. The cost plus tax was $30.62. I am highly pleased over the response and quality of work done by the folks at Plumbing Plus. This is how plumbing contractors need to work. After years of "begging" plumbers for their services, I'm going to use this system for now on.

Ray arrived on time for our appointment. I had purchased an Angie's List special of one hour work for $49.00 and had three problems with leaky or tight faucets. He came to the door with no tools in hand. When I showed him the bathroom faucet handle that was leaking he never touched it or tried anything but just said "it needs to be replaced". So we proceeded to the kitchen faucet which was working but difficult to rotate. Again he never touched it and again "it needs to be replaced". No offer to help or to find replacement parts. His suggestion was "call the manufacturer." My third faucet problem was similar to the first two so I never bothered to show it to Ray but instead I showed him to the door. Housecall lasted 10 minutes. When I call a plumber I don't expect him to be a magician but I do expect him to be helpful. Thankfully, Angies List has refunded my money.

Arrived right on time and got right to work, was friendly and knowledgeble. Very happy with the service.

Chris was very courteous, informative and was done in less than an hour!!! Overall, it was a very good experience and I would use them again and refer others.

My experience with Plumbing Plus was very positive. Ray (the technician) was helpful and honest. He provided me with a quotation for installation of a regulator and shut off valve. Should I decide to go ahead with the installation in the near future, it will definately be with Plumbing Plus.

A co-worker of mine recommend me to Angieslist and got a great deal on tankless water heater. Got on schedule for the install on Thursday, everything went well and got hot water on the same day.

They are incredible. I would use them again when we were ready to do our kitchen remodel. We will want to have them come back and do that.

All three repairs and new work went very smoothly and all worked well after work was done. When I called about the hot water, the plumber came immediately to make the adjustments. For 'do's and don't's, Do - Being new to the plumbing repair process,, I began my search for a plumbing service with Angie's List. I found Plumbing Plus with MANY 'A' ratings and good reviews. I did some internet searches to try to determine if there were any negative outcome reports, or legal issues for their work on any other source, and there were none. I don't think there is any substitute for researching a prospective provider as much as possible before the work is done. My good experience with Plumbing Plus proves that.

When I called Plumbing Plus they sent someone right over even though it was 4:30 in the afternoon. They told us they would not charge an after hours fee (the first company that I called said they would charge me.) The serviceman did a great job replacing our water heater and cleaning up. The next day I found a coupon for 10% off and they honored it.

Went well - the plumber was very knowledgable and experienced, completed the task quickly.

It was excellent. They were on time, and the guy was very friendly and knowledgeable. He understood my need to get the house fixed right away.

I found Plumbing Plus on Angie's List, one of the reason I chose them was because of an award they had on there. I called them yesterday and they were supposed to deliver today and they screwed up and now they are not going to be able to deliver until Thursday. I am kind of upset with them. They came out yesterday and looked at it and I decided to go ahead and replace a toilet in a bathroom that is not working it was leaking. He shut off the water and checked on the computer and found one that was to be at their shop this morning. They were to have it out here early this morning and here it is 12:00 and we have not heard from anybody so we phoned and they do not know anything about it. Now they can't install the damn thing until Thursday, It's a toilet for crying out loud it is something I need. If it was a bathtub or a sink it would not be that bad. They did not take the old one out they just turned it off because it was leaking so bad. The girl in the office said that they guy in the field should not have made the appointment. He phoned in and confirmed where it was to ship it in and gave me the guys name that was supposed to call me this morning and the office says they do not know anything about it. Its very unprofessional. The estimate was free but the toilet and installation was to be $573. Larry, the guy that came out was very nice, helpful and informative but obviously they do not know he works for him or something. They did not respond and we had to call them. They did not apologize, it was like it was our fault. I am very disappointed with them. I have already bought this and signed a contract so I will use them for this but I will not call them again. I feel like I was treated very shoddily, like they were doing me a favor and they are not. I am doing them a favor by using their service. They did not give me a good price on this or a 10% discount if you use Angie's List, they did not say anything about that. I am a real stickler, if somebody says they are going to do something I expect them to do it and if they can't do it at least have the damn courtesy to call me and tell me about it but they did not do anything. They did not even know about it. They really left a bad taste in my mouth.

I purchased a Groupon type discount which helped on labor. I needed a new toilet and spoke with someone at Plumbing Plus before they came out. We talked about the size and configuration needed. On the morning of the appointment the service man (whose name I forget) called to discuss they quality differences of toilet manufacurers. We agreed on the product and price of the toilet. Naturally, the price of the toilet is marked up over discount stores such as Home Depot of Lowes. I expected as much since I didn't have to go buy it and get it home myself. The service guy came out, removed the old toilet, replaced it with the new one and did a perfect job around the tile floor. Was it more expensive than purchasing my own toilet, getting it home, pulling out my old one and taking it to the dump? Yes. I paid for the convenience of calling and finally getting something done with little or no effort on my behalf. I recommend them.

After the miscommunication about the start time it went well and it was finished quickly without any call backs.

Very well. My wife found a sink online which once received we found out it had some non-standard fittings. Plumbing Plus worked their magic and found a way to may it work. Thanks!

I contacted Plumbing Plus and they were very polite and promised a quick response. It was a Saturday at the time and we had no hot water. We were unable to get the pilot light to stay lit. The plumber arrived promptly and was able to give me a great deal with a new hot water heater. I even got a 10% discount. The new heater has a pilot light system that will never go out. Our problems looked like they would be over forever. The plumber was quick and in no time we were up and running. I would not hesitate to recommend Plumbing Plus to anyone.

My hot water heater starting leaking from the bottom of the tank last week. I saw the Big Deal special for a new Energy Star Water Heater plus installation on Angie’s list and called them and they came out the next day. The service was excellent and professional. The technician John was very polite and knowledgeable about plumbing. He completed the job promptly and I am very satisfied. I would recommend them and I will use them again for all of my future plumbing needs.

Our Kitchen remodeler did not restore plumbing but had a “brother” who would do it for $300. Unfortunately, he was available for a week and we did not want to be without a kitchen for that long. I noticed the Angie “Big deal” that offered 50% ($80) off the first hour. I called to get an estimate of cost. For the service I needed, the dispatcher said between $300 to $500 before the discount. That seemed fairly reasonable so ordered them up for the next day. He arrived promptly and looked over the situation. He stated that my faucet fixture would not work with my new granite counter top because the valve attachments did not go deep enough. I would have to get a new fixture. He had one that he admitted was overpriced by $100 but I was in a hurry so I decided to spring for $375. Then he got to work on his computer and after a lot of effort, he gave me an estimate for the work that was over $675. When I complained about this, he took off some parts that he was going to charge me for even though I already had them! At over $1000, I decided to decline this work. He told me that the dispatcher should not have given me a quote like that but somehow I was supposed to sign up for there service without a clue as to cost. What is even more outrageous is that my fixture would have worked fine. I subsequently found out that you can buy an adapter kit at Home Depot for under $10. This leaves two options, he is not a very good plumber and did not know about such kits or this is just another way for Plumbing Plus to “plus” up the bill. Angie’s list may have given this operation “awards” but I am unimpressed with the operation. I went to Budget Plumbing and got the whole job done for $385. Stay away from this operation
