My first disappointment was when the technician called to cancel because he was stuck at another job. If it were a weekend, it would not had upset me but it was a work day and it wasn't easy to plan my afternoon for this. You would think the office would dispatch another tech to avoid upsetting the customer but instead, I called the office to reschedule. So he showed up on time on the newly scheduled appt. He was very professional. He asked if there were any other faucets or leaks inside and out that he can look at. I said no but there was another old faucet close to the one he was about to replace that led to the irrigation system. The faucet was installed in line with 2 feet of PVC piping. He recommended replacing the faucet along with the PVC because PVC will eventually brittle and cracking if exposed to the sun and from personal experience, I believe this to be true. Out of curiosity, I asked for an estimate. It was going to cost me $217. I thought it was a bit high and I know I can do it myself. We agreed on just doing the one faucet. When he was done replacing the faucet he asked me if I was going to pay with cash, check, or credit card. I was completely puzzled! What is this dude talking about? I told him that I only wanted the $59 deal. He asked again if there was anything else he could look at. I understood the business strategy behind the $59 deal. Use it to get to the customer's residence and then fish for more business. I get it but some of these plumbing businesses charge an arm and a leg for small jobs. Thanks but no thanks. So the tech revised the estimate to the Angie's List deal and off he went.

I purchased a daily deal from Angie's List for an outside faucet replacement. When I called to schedule the appt, I told them that the fixture needed to be welded to copper pipe so that they would be prepared. I was told that there would be an additional charge for that service. I told them I did not want the service under those conditions and I was told to contact Angie's List to get a refund. I believe that the "deal" was false advertising. If they are just going to unscrew the old faucet and replace it with a new faucet that they screw on, why would anyone pay $59.00 for that service? I could do the job myself for less than $10.00 dollars.

It was good. We ended up having to pay a lot more for the service. I didn’t feel like the coupon worked like it said it would. They were nice and did a good job but the coupon didn’t really work for me.

The kitchen quote took a little longer to get back... I mentioned my pet peeve of estimates not being itemized (as I had already seen the bathroom model quote I was hoping by saying that I would get something more specific)... and then it happened... a non itemized estimate. I have a TINY kitchen. TINY. The quote was 11,900 + 2,900 for tile install. Yes. That is right 14, 800 with absolutely no cabinets or tile included... so if I add cabinets (about 6k) + tile + backsplash + countertop (I'm going to be gentle and say 4k). So if I do my super sleuth math we are getting close to 25k. I'm not moving gas lines. I'm not doing any major construction (except getting rid of a non load bearing pantry.) It's super duper cut and dry. Home Depot price - 15k. My price from another licensed contractor- An itemized quote for everything! $13,596.13 (that includes labor, cabinets/countertops/fabrication/backsplash/tile/adding extra pantry cabinet... need I go on). I can't compare the two... maybe they are apples and oranges... maybe I looked like I had a stamp on my head that says "overcharge". They were kind. On time. Professional. I'm still disappointed.

He did a great job and everything went smoothly. He showed up right on time, installed the new water heater and gas line, cleaned away the old one. Totally painless and the cost was very reasonable for a high quality energy efficient water heater.

Gas water heater had broken down & sprung a leak over a weekend. I purchased a "special" from Angie's List - replacement of heater with new energy efficient model for flat rate discounted price of $849. Company came immediately, on Monday morning, and installed and tested the new heater and even helped with the clean-up from leak all in around 2 1/2 hours. Very fast, clean efficient job, very pleasant and friendly plumber. All in all, an excellent experience and I would certainly retain this company for any further plumbing work I may need.

Robert Hannis arrived within the prescribed appointment time frame. I explained the work needed (leaking faucet and disposal installation). Robert indicated that installing the garbage disposal was not a problem but I would need a new faucet due to the erosion caused by the hard water. Robert provided the cost of the installation minus the Angie?s List coupon. He completed the installation that included the disposal and replacing the pipes. He cleaned up after causing me just to put everything away. In addition, Robert answered all my additional questions and provided information on preventive issues. Thank you, Robert!

They were punctual and it seems like the problems have been solved. They were very professional and efficient.

Extremely responsive from my first e-mail inquiry to the day the service was performed. They are probably a bit pricey, but I did not do any price comparisons because I was in a time crunch to have the water heater installed. They were very clean when removing my old water heater. Robert showed up early for both our initial meeting and the day he performed the service.

Technician arrived on time and was right on task. He was very friendly and knowledgable. In the end he suggested some fixes and other things for us that would save us some money by combining tasks later on. The overall service experience was good and they have mobile credit card processing machines so you are not stuck writing checks which I hate. You can get equal work for a lower price from other vendors here on Angie's List, but these guys are definitely a great reliable business if you don't mind spending an extra $50-$100 for the piece of mind. They are also affiliated with a full kitchen/bath remodel company (Remodel Works) so they can provide full service info and contacts if you need larger work done.

There were no problems, and the new system works as expected.

While he was installing the faucet, he told me my water pressure was too high; I’m not convinced that all of it was needed. I ended up with a significantly bigger job than I had anticipated. The work they did was fine, but I was a little hesitant, since I don’t think the plumber had as much experience as I would’ve wanted; not all of the tasks seemed necessary.

They arrived on time - during the scheduled window - were friendly, courteous and clean. They let me know upfront how much it would cost after the Angie's List discunt. The work was performed quickly and they left no mess behind. A big plus with plumbers. All the required parts were on their truck. I would definitely call them again.

He was very nice and professional. He actually lived in our neighborhood so he knew the area. We had a leaky faucet in the tub area of one of our bathrooms. He changed the part inside so it would not leak. He also did a "once-over" in other plumbing areas of our house since we just bought it and weren't familiar with our plumbing (and possible problems). We found our "forever plumber" for a "forever house! Thank you!!!!!!!!

I had my water heater replaced with a tankless water heater. Ray and John did the work and they were good and professional. As for the tankless water heater, we had an issue with the water temperature getting cold in the shower after about 5 minutes, but it was sporadic and happened just a few times. Plumbing Plus came out and we ran the water in all the showers for 10 minutes, and there wasn't a big temperature fluctuation. So we waited to see if the problem would become regular. Randy, the Service Manager at Plumbing Plus, called us to follow up about a week later, thinking that he knew how to fix the issue. Ten minutes after he arrived, he fixed the temperature issue we were having. Turns out, it wasn't the water heater, but was an issue with our 7 year old shower head in that one bathroom. He didn't even charge me for the service call. Thanks Plumbing Plus!! I will definitely call you guys again, and I highly recommend your great work! By the way, the tankless water heater is the way to go. We have a small family, so we aren't likely to realize big savings on our utilities, but we saved a ton of valuable closet space by taking out the monsterous water heater and hanging this small tankless unit on the wall. Now I have a walk-in pantry in my kitchen. We all love it!

Chris arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. He replaced the ball valve at the main water shut off to the house. I had purchased an Angie's List big deal for one hour of labor and a service call. I'm not really sure what the cost would have been without it but I was surprised how much I was charged for the valve. Then again, I've never really had to call a plumber before. I also had him give me an estimate for additional work. Unfortunately it was quite high so I did not have the work done.

I'm not sure what is going on with Plumbing Plus. We've had them out 4-5 times in the last several years - first to install a specific water heater that most other plumbers couldn't sell/handle and then to do various repairs and improvements. Our experiences were quite good. However, things seem to be on a marked downward trend over the last year and we're no longer going to bother calling going forward. Roughly six months we had some water damage and needed someone to snake the sewer drain and verify the cause of a blockage. We asked the plumber not to refer or call out a water damage company he knew but he did it anyway. My wife mistakenly assumed that the water damage guy was from the insurance and let him in -- the damage company charged $2K for what should have been $500 of work. After several letters back and forth, that matter was resolved for $1K. Today, we had another plumber from plumbing plus come out to look into installing a new sink and faucet we had purchased from lowes and do a simple replacement of a bathroom faucet. For this, we had to reserve a time slot two days in advance. Despite asking for the earliest appointment and being told the plumber would try to be here shortly after 8am.....he didn't arrive until nearly 9am. Then the quote for the faucet was $379 and the sink $871, so a total of $1,250 for a few hours work which seems highway robbery given we are providing nearly all the hardware (the new kitchen sink/faucet) and Plumbing Plus just had to provide the bathroom faucet (likely under $50 at lowes). I politely indicated that we were now going to get other quotes. I liked the old plumbing plus -- high quality work for reasonable prices and no attempting to get every dollar they could. The new one makes me feel that I have to hide my wallet when they are in the neighborhood. I hope they work out whatever is going on.

I chose this company after looking on Angie's List and found that they had a special for a 50 gal. hot water heater for around 850.00. It was an instant purchase online and included installation and all. When the installer came out he saw where the water had leaked and said he would need to turn off the gas to the water heater and I would need to call some water damage, remediation company. I had shown him that I had purchased all that I needed buy he said the drywall needed to come off and all. He said it would cost me 500.00 extra for him to extend the flex lines on the water heater about 2 foot max. so that I could continue to have hot water while things got repaired. I said that I could do it and he said that he couldn't allow that. I said I didn't want to pay that much for a temporary job to have hot water I know how much these things cost. I asked him to leave the heater here since I had already paid for it and I would take care of the rest but he said that he couldn't do that. He could refund me the money and take the heater back. Anyway, being stuck between a rock and a hard place I told him to go ahead. He then said he had someone who did water damage repair and they came out and wanted another 1200.00 for a small little area. After talking to him he said he would come down to 800.00. and he would do it himself. I just felt pushed around and ripped off. In the end after almost 2200.00 I had my new hot water heater.

See above for details. I liked the representative that came and was hoping to have a positive experience. I really felt like I was being taken advantage of and have yet to see the emailed estimate I was promised for the additional work. This was my first experience with an Angie's List deal so I was disappointed.

They changed the cutoff valve under the sink. They did a great job and did it for a reasonable price. They were very professional.

I had them replace my tankless hot water heater with a Navien high end tankless unit. Fixed three leaking toilets and updated the flushing mechanisms. Fixed a bathroom sink replacing a stopper part that had broken off the drain pipe and stopped the leaking. John, is a fantastic person and plumber. He is very patient and methodical. I wanted to quickly paint the outdoor "closet" that houses Navien, so I went into high gear while he prepped the unit for installation. I wasn't quite done when he brought the unit in, but he was very patient and gave me that extra few minutes to get all the high areas completed before he installed the unit. I cannot say enough good things about John. He is the BEST plumber I have ever encountered. John's work has a "zen-like" quality because everything is clean, well-placed with lots of forethought. There is no "clutter" in his design.
