the entire experience was exceptionally good.

There are three areas of concern about this experience; 1/ It should have been clear to the technician that an explosion on attempted lighting indicated a presence of gas and therefore a defective gas valve. Had the pilot stayed alight (as it had for me) after he installed we could have been left with a very unsafe heater. Luck was on our side. 2/ A quick internet check on the cost of parts showed a substantial discrepancy in the estimate I was given. When I questioned your man on this he admitted there was a markup on the supply of parts. In the case of the estimate of $254 it appears that similar parts would have cost about $75 indicating a mark up of about 240%! 3/ I was told that your labor rate is $109. This should be have been disclosed at the outset. The bottom line is that had I accepted the last price to replace the valve, it would have cost more than a new heater.

Company was contacted on Monday afternoon, and problem explained, as serious, but by no means an emergency. Company still allocated a time as early as possible the next day (Tuesday). Plumber showed up right on time and got straight to work. Investigated problem, explained clearly what he was going to do and what the various escalations would be if the first attempt (an auger) did not work. Fortunately the auger worked and drain was unblocked easily! All over very quickly with minimal fuss. This was the latest in a series of jobs this company has done for us either on our home or on rental property: some maintenance, some urgent: always a good experience and work done quickly and effectively.

The plumber Dima was professional, articulate and friendly. He worked quickly and did an excellent job. We would call them again for plumbing issues.

identialI had a water heater go out on Thursday, the 24th. The plumber I normally use no longer services the Pt. Loma area so I began a search on the List. I had a good idea of what the costs would be, a ball park figure, so to speak. The first two I called were way out of line and the third was a no show late on Friday. The first thing the last wanted was a credit card and I did not care for the answers I got pertinent to the service. So, back to the List Saturday morning. I came up with Plumbing Plus and called. Right away I had a good gut feeling about Mike, the owner, not to mention he had a price on line for the tank I wanted, a Bradford-White. Being Saturday, we made an appointment for Monday and I was prepared for a weekend of cold water. A couple of hours later Mike e-mailed back he had a plumber that could be at the house in about 2 hours. "Would this work for you." I told him I would be home at 12:00. Two minutes after I arrived home the plumber drove up. Clean and presentable and the truck was all business. Two hours later I had a 50 Gal. tank (instead of a 40 Gal) installed and job complete. The price was exactly as stated. I'm happy to say my first gut instinct proved to be true. Why go anywhere else?

Solid............Plumbing Plus couldn't do the "mechanical" part of what I wanted but replaced my garbage disposal unit. The service person also discovered that my regulator was out and we fixed that..........he also adjusted one of my toilets relative to its water flow.

Came to diagnose (and hopefully fix) the leak from my kitchen faucet. Nice person. I had the $49 prepaid coupon with $100 credit toward second service. He made the right diagnosis - an air gap failure - and offered to order the part & return to replace. Estimate was given. Seemed expensive, and so I deferred the decision. Had another plumber (who had done work for me before) replace them for about $150 less - so even with the credit from the coupon, they were definitely more expensive. The plumber did follow up about 2 months later to see if I wanted to finish the job. They were courteous, and correctly identified the problem. But they were overpriced.

They came out the same day I called, showed up at the time they said they would, and proceeded to replace the old water heater. While checking the water pressure at the water heater it was found that I needed to replace a water regulator valve because the pressure was twice the recommended level. So they put in a new water regulator valve as well.

We had a mishap with a set of car keys being flushed down the toilet. The keys caused a blockage that couldn't be fixed with the plunger so I called Plumbing Plus. Robert came out on the first call and augured and cleared the blockage (we thought). The keys weren't recovered. Later that evening, when using the other toilet, my son reported that it was clogged. He tried to plunge it and my daughter alerted me that the water was coming up in the tub and in the front bathroom toilet (the key eating toilet). I called Plumbing Plus again and Dima came on an after hours call. He ended up flushing the main line and auguring all the way from the street into the house. That did the trick. Both gentleman were very professional and helpful. Robert noticed that our water pressure was way above the safe limit and wrote down what part we'd need to repair it. Dima noticed that our toilet flappers allowed for double flushing and wrote down the parts to replace them. All in all I was happy with the work and the company.

My water heater went out and I had no idea how old it was or what to do about it. I called Plumbing Plus on a Saturday around 11am and they were able to schedule a service call later the same day. I was very relieved. When the technician got here he was very professional. He assessed it and said it was the thermo-coupler and it would cost about $400 to fix. I was surprised by the price but I needed the water heater fixed so I OK'd the work. His official estimate came down to about $350, with the Angie's List discount included. After an hour he called me to my garage to take a look and it turns out it wasn't just the thermo-coupler. It was two other parts that he didn't carry and the manufacturer's warranty department was closed for the weekend. So he couldn't fix it and his company had a minimum $160 service call charge, which they hadn't mentioned when I made the appointment. After all that my water heater was still broken and I was out $160. I eventually had the water heater replaced, but when the installation team showed up, they first offered to try to fix my original one, basically offering the same service Plumbing Plus offered for $350, except they were going to charge me $200. I appreciate the speedy reaction time, especially on a Saturday, but they couldn't fix it and charged me quite a bit to tell me so.

The plumber came out in a reasonable timeframe but quoted a higher price to do the work that he said was not included in the coupon - I reluctantly agreed since he was already on site - I then called the coupon issuer and they told me it should have been covered - the plumber eventually agreed to honor the coupon and not charge more - I feel that this coupon promotion initiated by the plumbing company was somewhat deceptive - the work was done properly and professionally however - I just would not use a coupon promotion again with this company

I did a bit of researching and read several reviews online and also on Consumer Reports. An American Standard model I was reading about got good reviews. I was going to order it at Home Depot which I saw they had for about $325 @. I emailed Plumbing Plus as I had such a great experience with them last year when they installed a high end Grohe shower in our walk in shower. (That was one of our best investments as we spend so much time in the shower and we LOVE it). Randy was the installer that came out to install the high end shower head last year. He was great and it was clear customer service was very important to him so it was great to hear that he was promoted to a Manager. He was the one that answered my email giving me a price quote. I told him the model I was interested and what was great is he told me he could definitely order it but he suggested 2 other brands as well. He gave me a "Good/ Better/Best" category. Kohler Santa Rosa: (Good) Kohler Cimarron (Better) Toto Ultramax II (Best) He told me in his experience as a plumber, American Standard wasn't that great and he couldn't understand all the great reviews from some online and Consumer Reports. I probably would have been thinking the company was trying to "upsell" me if I didn't have such a great experience speaking to him when he came out to install the shower but it was obvious he is a "straight shooter". So I took his advice to heart and decided to read reviews of the Toto Ultramax II. It was considerably more expensive vs. the others but I figured it was worth it since we will be in the property for many years (15+ years). I travel quite a lot with my family and I noticed that Toto is used in many of the best hotels so I decided to go with it. Plus the online reviews were great. Randy gave me the best price they could do to install 5 toilets. He told me I could provide the toilets myself or they could order it. I opted to let them order it as I didn't want to deal with the possibility of them getting damaged shipping them to me. I read several reviews from online and read a few people that had them shipped and they were damaged in shipment. The installer that came out, Dima, was really wonderful. He was very polite and spent about 5.5 hours removing the old ones, installing the new ones and also doing the sealing work. Everything turned out wonderful and these toilets are really great! They were just installed today but I tested them and they are wonderful. Just like before (see my other review of Plumbing Plus on AngiesList), they did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them for any Plumbing needs and definitely I will use them again in the future as we are thinking about doing some other renovations.

Excellent! Showed up on time. Look at our concerns and fixed the main one (toilet) and told us not to replace existing toilet as the brand was one of the best it just was never installed properly by our building contractor. Showed him other areas of concern and he told us how to repair it on our own if we would like. Most likely we will call him back to do the actual work as plumbing is not our thing. We would highly recommend this company. I wish I could remember the serviceman's name to give him the credit.

Chris, was prompt and courteous. He explained the job in detail and got to work quickly. He offered to install a drain pan for an additional $42.67. I decided that it was a good idea so that any leaks would run onto the concrete floor and not all over the drywall platform. Chris performed the work quickly and cleaned up nicely after he was finished. The water heater is a Bradford White Defender series model M45036FBN which appears to be a good water heater but this model is NOT Energy Star qualified as advertised. It has an energy factor rating of .62. I do think that this was a good deal but I was drawn to the product description and was a little disappointed to discover later that it was not correct.

The tech arrive 15 minutes late but behaved and dressed in an acceptable manner. He was not aware this job involved an Angies coupon and then recommended I use a balance valve from his truck rather than use the one I had purchased from a local plumbing store. After looking at the work he said he would need to go to Home depot for a part and that took an additional hour. The job was completed in about three and a half hours. The new valve was installed and there are not issues with the work nor the cosmetics of the installation. I have not completed an evaluation until now because I wanted to see if the work would hold up and it has. I would not use this company, in my opinion they used Angies List to get into my house and then upsold the work done. Again, no complaint about the work but the value for the cost.

As stated above, I needed a gas line run from my house to an outdoor firepit line. This involved running through the garage wall, adding a valve, removing a small area of concrete to run the line and then repouring the concrete after line completed. I received three bids and had the most positive response and best price from Plumbing Plus. Other companies that I contacted had reasons that the project would require a separate contractor to pour concrete, plus they were more expensive. Plumbing Plus was very professional, polite and positive that they could handle the project. They did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to recommend them for future plumbing work! I had them install a faucet previously and also disconnect a soft water system and remove it for me and I had similar results!

They are very good and I am planning to call them on another project. They are very professional and show up on time. Their prices are favorable. The only thing is that something got stopped up on a Sunday night and they brought in a large machine and cracked one of our tiles on the stairway. We had to have the painters come in and try to color in the chip mark. But it was an accident and they were here from Sunday night up to midnight helping us out. My husband had put some cat litter down the toilet and it stopped up all the way out to the driveway. Plumbing Plus came out on a Sunday night to take care of the problem which is unheard of. Then they came back the next morning at 8:00am to finish up the job.

Went really well. The new faucet looks good and, of course, doesn't leak. Excellent job.

The visit went very well. One drain still seemed slow after the plumber left so I sent an email. I was quickly called back and told that the work was warrantied and that they would send someone out immediately to resolve. I consider this outstanding customer service. I will definitely use this company again.

I guess it went ok, I just wasted $49.

Fantastic job and great service. I like Anderson's but I couldn't get them, so I tried this one. I might change my plumber. THey were so much nicer and explain things really well.

Easy to schedule. Punctual arrival. Very pleasant and helpful plumber. Work done to an excellent standard. Followed up with telephone call to ensure satisfaction. Overall, excellent experience.

Faucet works fine but I was disappointed that he did not cover or plug our sink drain that leads to our garbage disposal. Apparently a small screww dropped into the disposal that my wife was able to reach down and retrieve.

The next day it kept bugging me that I had to pay so much plus the coupon so I called the company and talked to the owner. I explained just what he had done and that I felt it wasn't right. He agreed with me and said he had just started this coupon deal but he guessed he had not instructed his men on how to handle it. He refunded all the money I had paid that day and accepted the coupon. I was very happy and it all turned out well.
