Plumbing Plus

I called Plumbing Plus to let them know about our failing water heater the morning it stopped producing heat. Spoke with owner Mike, and explained that although we had bought the house only 9 months earlier, failure of the 22 year old heater was expected. Kudos to Mike for advising me that we probably have a home warranty that would cover the repair. He was right, but we didn't want to keep the old one on life support, we wanted an upgrade. In particular, I needed someone who would work with me as I/we reconfigured the space round the heater and a new stand, so that it would all be able to fit into a cabinet we plan to build around the heater in the garage. Rob came out the house that day, and we discussed what I wanted. He looked the space over, and offered that a 40 gal heater would better serve our goals for space reduction rather than the 50 that was offered with the coupon. I agreed, and we set up to do the job the next day (they were out of 40s that day). Rob was great working with me, and even had lunch and did some paperwork in his truck to kill time while I replaced the wallboard and reworked the new stand to fit better. Rob reworked the copper piping and the gas vent line to fit within the desired area. The clean-up was thorough, and we were in business. I had estimated that I could get what I wanted for $1200. I was hoping the coupon would bring the price down more, but Rob did have to charge for some of the extras, and they didn't discount the price of the unit for going down to a 40 gallon unit. We finished at $1175, so I figure the price was about average, thus the B. Rob was exceptionally skilled at his craft, highly personable, and easy to get along with. I would absolutely use Plumbing Plus again.

Very professional. Explained that the facet wasn't originally installed correctly, there was not enough room for the bib. He did have to make a small indentation in the wall to install the new faucet. The job was well done and it's nice to be able to use the faucet again.

The plumber who responded immediately and was A+ professional. He was very neat and clean while servicing our premises. He covered his shoes before he came in the house. He explained everythling he was doing and told us the cost right up front. He was very diligent in servicing our home and paid close attention to finding the first problem which was the block. His work is 100% commendable, his professional conduct was excellant.

I was quite satisfied with Plumbing Plus work and customer service. I needed to install a new high-efficiency water heater for a rental property I own undergoing an Energy Upgrade California project, and was admittedly a very difficult customer. The owner, Mike, personally came out to meet me the morning after I called him, and over the next couple months I had literally a dozen phone conversations with him and exchanged numerous emails as I changed the project scope, explored different water heater models, and changed my timeline. Mike continued to be patient, responsive, give his honest advice, and seemed to keep my best interest as his top priority, and I never sensed a bit of frustration on his part for all the time he spent holding my hand scoping out what was a relatively small job in the end ($3600 bucks). Mike worked with me on pricing to make it fit within my budget, and made an extra trip to crawl under my house at my request to make sure there were going to be no surprises before I signed. When I asked another contractor to bid for the work, they declined, telling me they would not be able to beat the estimate I had in hand from Plumbing Plus. After a slew of bad to horrible experiences with other contractors during my project, It was very refreshing to use a contractor that was so helpful, did what they promised, stuck to the timeline, and budget.

They arrived and pulled out the existing water heater and replaced the new one. They were done in roughly 3 hours. They also regauged the pressure regulator.

Arrived on Tuesday afternoon, knew at first inspection what the problem was and how to fix it. Scheduled work for following day to begin at 8 am. Next day, arrived on time and first thing, checked water pressure - it was extremely high at 140+ psi. Robert recommended replacing old screw type house inlet valve with a ball valve and replacement of the pressure regulator; which I approved. Robert then got to work on the tub/shower. After work on the shower, Robert replaced the inlet valve and pressure regulator. Overall, Robert was professional, personable, and efficient. Although pricey, completed work was excellent and done in a little over two hours. Recommend Plumbers Plus to anyone that wants the job done right the first time!

It was a great service. The plumber was very professional and prompt. I was very satisfied with the service. He was very forthcoming and I felt he was very honest.

The shower in a rental that we own was leaking a bit under the faucet handle. I called Plumbing Plus because of their reviews on Angie's List. Richard came out and gave me an estimate--he said the parts alone would be almost $400. I approved the work and waited for him to receive the parts. I make arrangements with the scheduler to have Richard call me when he was on his way, so I could call the tenant and I could meet Richard there. Richard called yesterday and said he was at the property and said he had not been told he was supposed to call ten minutes before he would be there. So there was a flub up in the office. I watched Richard do the work and was amazed at how difficult a job this was. He had to drill the faucet out of the wall because the screws were stripped. Then he had to try every trick up his sleeve to get the cartridge out because the water (that had been dripping a long time) had caused corrosion inside. He even used a blowtorch. He's a very big and strong guy and was finally able to remove the cartridge. He replaced the shower head and faucet with a new Moen model. He said the moral of the story is to call a plumber the minute you notice a leak--but this leak is one that occurred right below the shower faucet and was slow, and not apparent, since there's water all over the place when you use the shower, and the leak only occurred when the shower was in use. I wonder if there is someway to detect these sorts of leaks. His work was fabulous. At one point he said "any other plumber would tell you that you need a new valve." So I appreciate his tenacity and his honesty. My only grouse is that plumbers are so expensive! I researched the parts online and I could have purchased them myself for about $160 had I known what to purchase. I ended up paying MSRP. But Richard probably spent more time doing the job than anticipated, so maybe it was a wash.

I just bought a short sale which needs to have the main line to the sewer replaced/repaired. I contracted 2 other plumbers and they gave me quotes which were confusing and the gap in cost from one to another was maddening. I contacted Plumbing Plus and they came out and we went over the issue thoroughly. I understand how they came up with their quote and it is really straightforward and transparent. I will be using their services for all of my plumbing needs.

I purchased a service deal from Angie's List for Plumbing Plus while I was on Deployment. My wife forgot to use the deal before it expired at the end of 2012. Mike from Plumbing Plus send me an email saying that they would still honor the deal in Feburary. Larry the techianican was on time and professional. I will use them in the Furture for any plumbing needs.

Simple, needed an outdoor shower and these guys installed and clean up quickly and efficiently. No issues or surprises.

Moved the washer and dryer outlets for plumbing. He had to completely open the wall to move and he did a great job. This job was a challenge but he was able to do it.

They were prompt. They gave good advice without trying to sell me stuff. We always had tremendous service from them. They are experts, I don't have to call them back. I would use nobody else but them.

we called them friday afternoon. they sent a guy out saturday afternoon. on time, friendly, courteous. cleaned up after his work. suggested in home maintenance.

The first guy who came from Plumbing Plus did not do a good job but the second guy who came and his name was Jim Hammond was pretty good. He gave us some hints as to what to do in case anything happens and I would call him again if I ever needed help with the septic tank. He seemed to know what he was doing. They gave me a 10% discount. I didn't have a bad experience with Jim. The work was good and they told me what the problem was. He gave me tips on what to do ourselves to avoid expensive labor service. The price was high.

I couldn't be more pleased with the whole operation. I will certainly call on "Plumbing Plus" for any future projects that arise.

Sunday emergency call - they called back within 5 minutes. Jim gave great advice on needed next steps (told me that I should go get our maintenance people as opposed to calling a plumber on my own) and I will call them again when we need help.

We had a "mystery" leak somewhere in the house. The Plumbing Plus technicians were thorough and professional and were tenacious in looking for the problem....which they ultimately found. The suceeded where a "leak detection" company failed. This is the 2nd time I have used Plumbling Plus and I will call them again for any future needs. Highly recommended!

The just replaced all of the faucets and sinks in the bathrooms which included re-piping etc. and it was a big job. They have been really patient and there is not one plumbing issue we will not use them for.

After going the Draino, small snake, etc. route, Plumbing Plus was called. The problem was solved in about ten minutes. I felt the price was high, but I was told in advance exactly what a service call would cost - and I needed a useable kitchen sink.
