Plumbing Plus

This is the third time I have called Plumbing Plus to come fix my refrigerator, and all three times have been pleasant. Don?t ask me why I don?t just buy a new fridge, maybe I belong on that TLC show extreme cheapskates. The friendly repairman showed up right on time, looked at my fridge for less than 5 minutes before figuring out the problem, gave me a fair quote, and had it working again within 20 minutes. It is so nice to find a company that is out to make the customer happy, not just to take money out of their wallet. Not only will they repair your appliance, but they are also happy to give you tips and tricks for keeping them running smoothly. Thanks for all your help Plumbing Plus!

Half of it was fine and half was so-so. After they installed the whole house instant hot water heater it didn’t really work properly. They said that in order to fix that it would be additional money.

Everything went fine, except for the bill. It was $600 for 1 hours work. Thats the second time we were overcharged after years of calling on them. We will not call them again.

First when I called they said they would be there within the hour. So I stayed home from work and waited. They were not there within the hour. When I called back, they said there was miscommunication and they were on their way. I waited longer and they finally showed up. They said the gas control valve needed to be replaced. They contacted GE on my behalf and found that is was under warranty and ordered it to be shipped to my house. After the part arrived, they came back to replace the gas control valve. He replaced it very quickly and was very nice and friendly. I was shocked when I got the bill and it was for $225+!! For about 1 hour of service (the part was free) I thought that was ridiculous!! When I asked about the high cost, he gave some double talk about how it covers regulations, the truck etc. None of which made sense. I feel as if I got ripped off, because of course, what am I going to do at that point? Ask them to remove the part and go without hot water again until I can get another company out there?

I discovered to leaks in my main water line---one was minor the other major. In any case I need to shut down the water to the house. As could be predicted, this occurred on a weekend. I called Plumbing Plus who has done work for me in the past and talked to Mike the owner. I placed the call about 10:30 AM and Mike said that he could have a technician (Nate) there between 2 and 4. As promised, the technician arrived just before 4 PM. He needed to leave for a short period to get some repair pieces, but the work was concluded by 8 PM. The technician was professional and knowledgeable. I have called Plumbing Plus on several occasions--none of which seemed to be routine and Mike and his team have never failed to respond. In one case the owner (Mike) came to assist.

At the time, we had moved out of the house so we couldn't use the deal.

I needed a hot water heater, installation and haul-away of my broken hot water heater. I saw a Big Deal on Angie's List that was super: $565.00. When I spoke with the owner by phone, I was disappointed and chagrined to learn that the ad was misleading. It was for a "recirculating, (sp?)" I am not familiar with the term. The owner did admit that he could see where he should have changed the terminology. He promised me a complete refund. If those funds are not promptly returned to my credit card, I will be upset, as I had to pay Black Mountain Plumbing over $1,000.00 to install a new HWH, install & haul-away. I ask that all service providers that advertise on Angie's List be very clear. Not all of us are professionals. Thank you.

They were complete, and thorough. I had old cast iron pipes which they dealt with. So they were adapted to working with old plumbing. The work turned out good.

Robert, the technician, worked diligently on both of my showers. He was able to completely fix one shower, but will be back tomorrow to do more extensive repair on the other. Robert and the people in the office are as nice as I would want my sons to be. They were pleasant on the phone and in my home, professional and they came on time for the appointment.

The service guy was very professional. He did a good job!

The service man seemed didn't want to be there. I asked him to drain the water from the old tank into a big trash can and his remark was "It's going to take forever" I don't see how it would take forever since the water flow is the same speed. He was draining into a big trash can instead of on the driveway. I also asked an another question and he was quite impatient in his answer.

I purchased the deal here at Angie's list when my old water heater stopped working. Response from Plumbing Plus is very prompt and they scheduled next day immediately. The work is done cleanly and they cleaned up the garage after the work. The temperate was fluctuating next day and I gave them a call. They answered quickly and sent the installer down to my place the same to perform a detailed investigation. It turned out I had a separate plumbing issue within the house and had nothing to do with the water heater. I feel very satisfied with their prompt response and quality of the work. I also feel the plumber likes what he is doing. Overall very good experience with Plumbing Plus.

I bought this from the 'Big Deal' : A New 50gal Water Heater PLUS Installation for just $849! This offer includes a 50 Gallon Bradford White storage tank, New hot and cold connectors, T&P valve, flexible gas connector and drip tee. They came out the next day since I called on Sunday, to install it. They hauled away old one. It worked well until about a week later I smelled gas near the heater and called them back. They did come the next day to take a look, and replaced a pipe. Then about a week later, the heater stopped heating water. Followed instructions to reset the pilot light but it should never ever go out. Had to do it a few times during the next few days. So called them back, and the technician replaced the thermostat controls for the heater and it has worked well since. So, overall, am happy with it. And they were always prompt and came whenever I called, and fixed the issues both times no extra charge of course, as I had just bought it.

The leak turned out to be a faulty joint in a drain Y. Determined the leak cause quickly, and fixed it...even though it was a very tight wall space. Their work is always very professional.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was good. They were reliable and the pricing was exactly what they said it would be. When they got here they finished everything on time.

Plumbing Plus was fine. The guy was great, they were on time, he offered to do one more because he finished so fast so we did two and the service was great. We used them again, we gave them another work after that.

They published a complete BS coupon, and would NOT honor it. The coupon specifically stated that it was good for sinks, tubs and toilets, but they told me that it didn't apply to toilets. After I read them what the coupon stated, they changed their story and said that would only apply if I purchased a $200 service. This was NOT on the coupon.

The gentleman that came out to do the work was very professions and fixed the problem. I was surprised to find that there were additional charges that i was not expecting.

Jim, the Plumbing Plus technician, was on time and thoroughly professional. He explained all aspects of the work and provided a clear repair description and job estimate. He went the extra mile in providing excellent service. All new fixtures are working well. I would definitely use this technician and this company in the future.

Dima, the techician, thoroughly explained all the work that needed to be done, and initially, I felt the price was high and wasn't going to do it all. However, I have used Plumbing Plus before and know they do good work and they do it right the first time, so that needs to be factored into the price. The leak behind the washer needed a lot of attention because I really waited too long to deal with it, but Dima made everything look like new. I would use Plumbing Plus again, but I would get more information on price when I called for service, even understanding that would likely change. I didn't even ask the price of a regular service call. I would also like to see a breakdown of parts and labor on the invoice, although Dima gave me that information verbally, and explained every step of the work.

Everything went good! I didn't incur any charges extra over the big deal amount.

I wasn't that happy with them because the price ended up being more. I thought there was some confusion and they gave me credit for one hour of labor. It ended up being too expensive, so I found a better plumber who would do it for $30 a drain.

Our toilet had become wobbly at it's base, and there were early signs of developing unsanitary conditions. I called Plumbing Plus. We have used them before via Angie's list and these guys are winners. I don't think I can find anyone better. (Others may be "as good" but not better.) The initial telephone contact was courteous and professional, as usual, and focused on meeting my time constraints. The plumber arrived on time and was professional in every regard. Considering the nature of the job -- which required removing a toilet from it's base -- the emphasis on cleanliness and sanitary care was very impressive. A tarp was laid on the floor from the front door all the way to the bathroom, etc. Assessing the problem was immediate and to the point. Solutions were offered with an eye to keeping my costs down. All costs were discussed prior to the work and agreed on. Very reasonable. Unfortunately, a few months later, the wobbly condition returned. But, this was no problem for this company. All under warranty. So -- free of charge. Another visit to to the site showed a different approach was necessary. This was handled promptly and professionally by Chris and there is every reason to expect this approach to last for the next 25 years. No charge beyond the original $239. The site was left in immaculate condition. Given that this is a bathroom, that says a lot. Everyone I dealt with was great -- Randy, Robert, Dima and Chris! I'm grateful to Angie's List for this one.

Excellent. We scheduled an estimate on Monday morning. We're given time of appt between 10-12. Told who would come. Larry showed up at 10:01 and work was scheduled for the following day. Again larry was on time. Did what was in the work order. Cleaned up and the cost ended up being less than quoted. Very professional organization, from first contact to last.

We were very happy with them. They were nice professional guys, they worked hard, and they were in and out.
