They were very professional and he was on time for the appointment.

Two days ago, Amerigas turned off the propane gas to our home because they determined that there was a leak that the Amerigas representative said needed to be repaired by a plumber. I immediately called Plumbing Plus and explained the situation to the woman answering the phone and asked if they had a plumber qualified to work on gas piping to resolve my problem. She said they did and we scheduled an appointment for today. Incidentally, the woman sounded surely over the phone. So we have been without heat, cook stove, or hot water for two days. When the plumber came out he said he couldn't do anything because he didn't have equipment to test for gas leaks. I told him that the company should not have sent him out if he couldn't fix the problem. He apologized and said I needed to call a leak detection company, then a plumber could come out to repair whatever leak was found. I lost at least two days of gas service because this company scheduled me for a service that the plumber is not qualified to perform. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

We were loyally using plumbing plus for their quality of service. They were never the cheapest, but reliable. Earlier they used to subtract their initial inspection fees if we decided to use their service to fix. Now their policy has changed. For this service, we asked PP to look at moisture at the right side of the wall. The person who came opened up a huge hole in the ceiling and pointed to a leak under the toilet. This was a very minor droplet during a flush, which couldn't have caused the moisture that we wanted to be looked at. I was away and my wife was handling the discussion. She is not as much familiar with plumbing issues and just went with the PPs suggestions. He charged us 159 for just this part. ( It ranges from 159 - 270 just for detection). Given that there was a minor leak, and we were in a hurry , we went ahead to get it fixed with PP. The quote they gave was interesting. To seal the existing toilet leak was quoted MORE than to (buy a new toilet + come the next day + remove the toilet + install a new one.). This was a total of 702 ( they gave a 10% discount on this). Also, they claimed there was a rebate for this. Apparently, this rebate is from socalwatersmart and is contingent on available funds as per their website .....he didn't mention this to my wife. We haven't yet gotten the rebate , we plan to check with socalwatersmart. Compared to other Angie's list plumbers it seems PP is overpriced and quality is dependent on the plumber they send. Note, this quote did NOT cover fixing of the ceiling..Also, my wife feels that the customer service rep could be a little more accommodating to her schedule. The toilet seems to be fixed properly....the rating of C for quality is for not doing a thorough check on every possible cause to minimize stress / cost on customer due to repeated dry wall openings and closing.

Excellent work. Patiently answered all my questions over several weeks while I made up my mind between the various options. Came to our house and detailed various options of installation, provided a prompt estimate. When I played devil's advocate they explained in detail why they arrived at certain costs in a manner that made sense. I never got the feeling they were trying to oversell. Installation was prompt, and pleasant. We've used them before and have come to expect first rate service; and we got it.

Estimate was free. Price was competitive. Repair recommended was spot on and exactly what we wanted. Delivery was on time and on budget. David who did the work was very professional, competent, and courteous. We had a leak under slab. Instead of breaking the concrete slab to repair the leak, David recommended we bypass that line and go through the attic with a new line. This would be a permanent fix, whereas the concrete break approach would not guarantee that the leak would not happen again on another stress point on the same line. We heard of flex pipes as being as good as copper with lower cost of material and labor. David confirmed our choice and recommended we do it that way. The workers came on time, did the work as planned, and cleaned up after themselves. When they had to break the sheet rock, the cuts were clean which made the dry wall repair much easier and faster. We recommend this company and David in particular.

Showed up on time and was courteous. Did not provide a verbal estimate for cost or time We had easy access drains / clean outs on the outside and he was here less than 1 hour. For the work done and the fact that it was an easy job the price was way to high. We did not shop around or ask for a price so our fault but I think they took advantage of my wife by charging that much for a simple job. Time I found out I did not go back to them and I have not followed up with vendor.

It did not go well at all. The plumber did not show up on time. before the end of the "window" I had to call the dispatcher. who expressed surprise that he was not there, and had to call him. (was he supposed to be at my job?) The dispatcher called me back and said he was about 30 minutes "out". (which was outside the promised time.) when he did show up (late) I asked him if he knew he was late, and he said it wasn't very much time, and if it had been a few minutes before the hour, he would have been "early" His manner and demeanor was very hostile and aggressive. I did not want a person displaying that type of attitude in my house. He was told to leave, as the job was no longer available. I called the dispatcher back, and of course, the manager was "not available" since this was noon on a Friday. I didn't receive a call back from him until the following Tuesday, presumably because I posted a bad review on another rating web site. the manager didn't really apologize or explain the actions, but just wanted to come out again for the jobs I needed done. Kind of ironic that when he called, another company had responded (earlier than the promised time) and was working on the job. I will never use plumbing plus again. which is too bad, because years prior, they had repiped my entire house, and the crew that did that were pretty good. Their actions towards "customer service" or lack thereof, clearly show their attitude that the customer satisfaction and service is not their priority. UPDATE: It is not surprising that the response is what it was, but also interesting that the response admits that the service manager was "in the office" for several hours AFTER the problem was brought to the attention of the home office, yet no response was attempted. this show a certain lack of care towards customer service, exactly the same attitude by their representative that show up late and with a bad attitude. and the plumber that did show up didn't have any signs of haven been "knee deep in water" or any other trauma. if you DO truthfully use "GPS tracking" they why didn't the dispatcher know where he was when I called in? rhetoric questions and observations, as its not hard to see the motivation behind the business to "blame the customer" for a bad review by throwing out these left field observations. I think the sad truth is that plumbing plus customer service has degraded significantly since I used them many yeas ago.

the When SDG&E activated the gas service at our new home, they found an excess flow valve improperly installed. Of course, not knowing what they were talking about based on their rather short non-descriptive remarks on the receipt I decided to bring in a pro.I contact Plumbing Plus (among several others) and receive a response within the hour - and THEN they had a tech come out that day. Nick arrived when he said he would and figured out the problem in minutes. Granted, the problem was that the flow hose from the wall to my range was installed backwards so it was a VERY minor job. He told me he could do it, but mentioned how much their minimum is...and then said that I could do it - saving me their fee. Needless to say, honesty and integrity rate high in my book - he could have easily gotten to work and charged me, but he did not. I will save this company in my favorites and refer them and/or contact them for future services.

On time, professional, and friendly. Definately would recommend.

Everything went excellent. Chris was our service man. The first day he came he installed a part that was missing from the existing tank that should have been installed originally so that the tank could have been drained. He cleaned the existing tank and drained it with the hopes that this would all that would need to be done. The next day however, the water turned cold again during a shower. I called Chris and he then installed a new heater and now everthing works perfect. Plumbing Plus is very fortunate to have just a great and efficient employee like Chris.

Mike was very punctual, very efficient. He evaluated my concerns, located the sweeps buried in the backyard, hydro-jetted in both directions, then cammed all to verify all was clear. I feel I can rest assured all will run smoothly for another year. Thank you Mike and Angie's List.

Responded the same day that I bought the Big Deal and came out two days later. Scheduled for sometime between 8 and 10 am, arrived at 8:10 (yeah, no waiting around). Snaked the drain outlet and reported on results. I pointed out one side of the kitchen sink that still drains slowly, so Mike diagnosed the problem (related to an odd plumbing construction in my older home) and solved it immediately at no extra charge. Super polite, friendly, efficient. I can't speak to the regular prices, but I certainly got more than my $39 worth on this deal!

I contacted their company in response to a coupon in Angie's list for a tankless water heater system for $2,350. Robert Hannis came out and immediately bad-mouthed the offered product and then tried to upsell me to a more expensive system. He gave me a verbal quote of $3,500 on the proposed system and promised to talk to the company owner about giving me a better deal in order to honor the coupon I had presented. So I went ahead and scheduled the work for two weeks later because Robert was scheduled to go on vacation the next day. A few days later, I called Robert's supervisor to ask for a written bid on the project, but he told me that I would have to wait until Robert got back from vacation. The company then waited until the day before Robert was scheduled to come and install the system to email me the written estimate. When I received the estimate in excess of $5,200, I was shocked because it was so much higher than Robert's verbal estimate of $3,500 for the job two weeks earlier. I therefore called him to cancel the installation until I could obtain other bids, and he then was quite belligerent and insulting over the phone. I got two other bids for the same quality system that Robert had proposed in his estimate. The other plumbers all told me that Robert's bid was extremely overpriced, so I hired one of them to do the job. In the end, I got the job done by another plumber for $3,900. I don't know if Robert is indicative of their whole company, but it is the second time I've had dealings with him, and both were unsatisfactory. I simply don't want to do business with people like that nor the companies they represent. "Bait and switch" tactics are illegal under California law.

They were great. They gave me quite a bit of free services as well. The workers were great, and even the owners came out when they couldn't come out. I would recommend them highly. They do everything from a toilet back up to replumbing everything. They were fantastic.

We replaced our water heater using Pumbing Plus. We also used Plumbing Plus to install new faucets in the bathrooms. The service was top notch. We asked about the benefits of installing a tankless water heater in our house and the technician gave us his honest opinion without trying to up-sell us and make an extra buck. We decided to go with a traditional 50 gallon tank water heater because of the extra ventilation duct work that would need to be installed in the garage, and the steep price of a tankless unit. Bottom line: Plumbing Plus did a great job, had a reasonable price, and installs a high quality product.

Plumbing Plus is awesome! We highly recommend them. David came out to fix a stripped faucet assembly in our master bath. It proved to be a little more complicated and required several trips to get it done because several parts had to be ordered, but he persevered and my master bath is good to go. They gave an estimate and kept to it even though there were repeated trips and additional parts that had to be ordered. Plumbing Plus will be our plumber going forward. Garrett was really responsive and called me shortly after the call center took my information. He showed up when he said he would, despite having to battle two road closures! He called me to let me know what was going on and ensure that I had taken steps to stop the water leak. Once there he thanked me for draining the tank down and disconnecting it and said he would discount some time since I had helped out. He then ordered a new hot water tank and picked it up, returned and installed it. His company was awesome and opened up the facility to provide the tank and despite being a Sunday everyone was very nice. Garrett installed the new tank, installed new gas valves and water valves and removed the old one. He then cleaned the entire area and had also provided a dryer to dry out the water damaged areas. When he left you would never know anyone had been there and the area was cleaner than before the water leak! Garrett was enjoyable to work with and understanding of our situation. My wife and I could not have been happier about the service Plumbing Plus and Garrett provided. We have found our new "go to" plumber and have no intention of using anyone else if we don't have to. They were so professional and responsive, not to mention that despite being a Sunday response, they still provided the Angie's List discount! They were also very good a communicating the price prior to their arrival. I strongly recommend this company to anyone, and if you get Garrett, you'll know you're in great hands!

He was great, he was on time and very personable and professional.

The plumber arrived on time and went right to work. He had difficulty removing the corroded screws holding down the shower drain cover (I had tried earlier and could not remove them). He was finally successful after about an hour of hard work and successfully cleared the drain and found another screw to hold down the cover. Overall the job probably took over twice as long as expected, but the price remained as quoted initially (which I thought was somewhat high). Remodel Works used this company as a sub contractor for a bathroom remodel we had done several years ago and I was happy with their work then.

We have never had a hot water re-circulation system so I was not sure what to expect. He tried to charge me extra for some tube or connection but after I explained the prices were a bit higher than another quote and that the additional cost was not expected, they did not charge it. After the technician left the unit and water started making a horrible noise. I shut off the water. I called the main office and let them hear over the phone. They said that was not normal and sent him back. The tech said something about how it needed to get started. It stopped making the noise and I believe it is working correctly. I still need to wait a bit for hot water so I'm not 100% sure it is correct but it is better than before. With the exception of this, they did a nice job with it .

Garrett was the plumber who did the work at my home. He was very professional and informative. He told me the job would take most of the day and it did. He answered all my questions completely and understandably. I have recommended plumbing plus to neighbors and would use them again for any plumbing needs I have.

Great experience. Kelly handled my call promptly and scheduled the service at a time convenient for my family. Their technician David arrived right on time. He had previously installed a hot water heater for us and was as efficient and professional on this call as he was then. If you need plumbing services done promptly and correctly you can't do better than this company.

Late in the afternoon on Friday 5/16, we noticed that a valve on a hose bib was broken and could not be shut off. We called Plumbing Plus and they had one of their team (Chris Taylor) stop by on the way home from another job. He capped off the problem and then returned the next day (a Saturday) and replaced the valve. Chris did a great job, did it quickly and left no mess behind. We would use them again.

Excellent all the way. The young man doing the work, Garrett, was delightful, friendly, competent, and punctual. The kind of guy you'd want your daughter to marry. The service personnel, including the manager Mike, were extremely helpful leading up to the installation. The price for the models I chose was competitive. The day of installation I misunderstood a stock number and thought they'd brought the wrong toilets. Angry, I called Mike and he patiently clarified the misunderstanding. They had not made a mistake. The picture I got from start to finish was that Plumbing Plus would bend over backwards to satisfy the customer. It's been a while since I've been so impressed.

First, I'd like to say that in spite of the Angie's List web site short comings in how they attempt to schedule Big Deals, Plumbing Plus was very accommodating in getting someone over there right away. As with most tradespeople, their Angie's List deal is really just a free inspection and virtually anything you can imagine will take more than an hour and cost extra. However, I think I got my money's worth and more if you care to read on. When Chris Taylor arrived, he noted water drops from several locations and pots on the floor. Fortunately, he had the presence of mind to lay out some plastic sheeting on my new carpet before he began his investigation. As soon as he poked a hole in the ceiling, trapped water came flooding out. He ended up removing ~20sf of ceiling to determine the extent of the damage and another 10sf of wall in the upstairs bathroom behind the leaking shower. He replaced the defective part and cleaned up all of the soaked sheetrock, then sent me photos of the damages. He was very responsive to both calls and texts during this process as I tried to understand the extent of the damages. I was impressed with his professionalism and would certainly consider using Plumbing Plus again.
