Excellent. Company in business 30+ years in which the wonders still answer the phones, thats OG/Original Old School all the way and has my RESPECT and confidence, in which they earned. Experience is that the family business knows their business, inspected, cleaned, replaced cap, removed obstructions from flute, and never burned a cleaner fire. In this day and age, beyond refreshing and they will have my business every year to 2 years to clean and maintain, can’t replace the real deals, and they are it. They know their business and give you 100%, hard to find these days.

Pat and his team were on time, very knowledgeable and courteous. He went above and beyond explaining the issue we are having with our fireplace- made his recommendations and gave me his feedbacks. I will refer him to all our neighbors and friends that need fireplace service. Thank you!

Excellent job, completed quickly and professionally. He also informed us of code regulations for our hearth, of which we were unaware and have since fixed. We also used them 7 years ago for repairs to the fireplace box itself and called them back for the new work.

Bernie was very good over the phone to provide information and schedule the work. Pat was very professional and thorough with the chimney cleaning and inspection. He recommended certain repairs which he and a helper performed at a later date when the needed parts were received. Pat also installed a new gas kit and logs. All done timely and professionally. They took great care doing their work and respected our home, which we appreciated. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

Pat showed up on time, was very professional, and helped me with the codes in California of which I was not aware. Did a clean, and complete job. I will definitely hire them again in the future. Burnie his wife was also professional and helpful.

Pat, one of the owners and his assistant Sean came out to do a visual inspection on the chimneys and dryer vent to check to see if they needed to be cleaned. Side note: One has to put a lot of trust that they are going to do the right thing and give you an honest evaluation because they basically earn their money by what is in the evaluation. I know I can't tell when a chimney needs to be swept or an rooftop vent for a 1st floor dryer needs to be cleaned so that trust has to be there. Because of continued good reviews at Angie's List and a prior relationship from doing business with them 4-5 years ago I knew that I count on Bernie FP Svs. to be upfront with me. Cleanliness Evaluation: The evaluation came back that the dryer vent had a slight buildup up lint on the vertical up-vent pipe but it was okay and didn't need to be cleaned. One of the fireplaces had enough soot that it needed to be swept but the other was okay. Safety Evaluation: Pat also showed me where there was an air gap with wood exposed on the fireplace that didn't need to be swept. He also explained how the two chimney shroud's (that all houses in this neighborhood have and that were grandfathered in) could have heat buildup that could cause a fire. Overall, I am, again, very pleased with what I got for the job I asked them to do. Highly recommend.

Trying to get an appointment was challenging, but he is worth the trouble. He offered a very detailed explanation of what was happening with the fireplace and made several great recommendations on how to improve what we currently have.

From start to finish, a professional chimney sweep/inspection. Not only was Burnie able to do the work (I had been turned down by another company because my roof was too steep???) but they did it quickly and efficiently, taking the time to answer my questions and address my concerns. The office called to confirm the appointment the day before and the men arrived right smack in the middle of the short time frame they gave me. Couldn't have asked for better service and the price was just right. Highly recommended. Will DEFINITELY use them again.

Bernie and Pat were very responsive and informative. They confirmed appointments ahead of time and performed all services as expected. Pat explained in detail how the new cover would be installed and described the improved installation methods relative to the original. The chase cover was painted and matched the trim of our house. Pricing seemed fair based on my minimal experience and I felt confident that the work would be done well. I would certainly contact Bernie's Fireplace Services again in the future if the need arises.

I called them repeatedly for one year and no response. Then had my chimney sweep fax them a repair list and still no response. Finally after one year I reached someone and had to wait 4 months for an appointment. Pat Lopez came out. Was prompt, professional and courteous. Very knowledgeable on options available. Pat stated would take a few days to get me an estimate. That was six weeks ago--no estimate.

I THOUGHT THIS COMPANY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY FIXED THE FIREPLACE IN ONE DAY. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH ALL OF THE SPECIAL ATTENTION WE RECEIVED.
