Appliance Rescue Service

This company is contracted with Maytag for warranty repair service, so I took a chance despite the F reports a while ago. The dispatcher I spoke with was competent and I got an appointment promptly. In fact, they had a cancellation and called me to see if I wanted an earlier appt. The repair man was knowledgeable and helpful. This company must have fired the incompetent dispatcher that was reported earlier. They seem really on top of it now.

Quick, simple fix at a great price. other company wanted $110 just to come out.

This was one of several fix-it or vendor items I had to deal with, shortly after moving in to the new house. I don't recall for sure who it was that put me on to these guys. My best guess would be the plumber, who installed a new sink faucet for me. I think he took a look at the dishwasher, before concluding that it was outside of his area of operations, and that he recommended this other service, of which he had knowledge but no affiliation. 800 Appliance sent me out a tech who had only a marginal command of English, but who otherwise knew what he was doing. He very quickly went into the guts of the dishwasher and found a wiring fault, which he corrected. Problem solved, and the proof seems to be that it has been 3 months now, with no further dishwasher malfunctions. The most amazing thing is that he only charged me twenty bucks ! Not even a travel cost. It seems that they only charge whatever the minimum happens to be for whatever work is actually performed. Now that's refreshing. Of all the work done at the house to date, this was clearly the steal of a deal. I gather that their service can handle at least your basic appliance needs. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Our $19 service was prompt and enabled us to make a decision whether to replace or repair our microwave. I would recommend Salvador again.

It all went great and I was able to finish the clothes washing I had started earlier in the day. Probably thebest appliance repairman we have ever had come to our home.

I called and scheduled an appt. to fix a dryer. I had a very busy week and could only schedule on one free day. I set up the appt. for the date that I needed. It was confirmed and repeated by the scheduler. The day of the appt. I waited and waited...and waited...when the repair person did not show up, I called the company. I was told that they had scheduled me for the next day!!! I explained to the person that I did not schedule that date (we were having a party then and would never have scheduled an appt.), I asked if another repair person could please come and she rudely said "No, he's already over scheduled!". She obviously didn't care about making a customer happy especially when THEY were at fault and likely entered the info. in the computer incorrectly!!! So, I went out and bought a brand new dryer. Needless to say, I will NOT be calling Appliance Rescue for any future service!!!

I called to have someone look at a condo-sized, stacked washer and dryer. The dryer was dead. Repairman arrived promptly after calling first to confirm he was 10 minutes away. He took the dryer out of the closet, opened it up and checked the electricity going to it. He said the main part was burned out. Others in the complex have had trouble with this dryer too so it was not a huge surprise. He offered to call around for a part and did and within a half-hour he called back with estimates, which were very high, again not surprisingly. He and I agreed I should shop for a new dryer and he gave me recommendations of reliable makes. I was happy that he was honest about saying I should just get a new dryer, which was what others had done. I was sorry he couldn't fix it, but I don't believe it was his fault.

Repairman arrived on time and completed work quickly and efficiently, with minimum cost to me.

The technician in my opinion was as professional as possible or more given the circumstances. It was an expensive repair and there is a chance something else will fail on the machine; but, so far so GREAT. Right now I would rather pay $300.00 to have the machine repaired because it looks perfect on the outside, and everything was in order other than the gaskets. This was a complete gasket replacement, and he had to get the transmission unstuck before he could do the gaskets. He nearly pulled the whole tub out, and did all the repairs necessary. this repair probably took awhile longer than he expected when he told me he could do it for that price. The machine quit working just before my mother had end of life health issues so I deferred and took our laundry out to be done so I could help her. This machine set 4 months before I attempted to get it repaired so this wasn't an 'ideal break down and repair'. This workman sweat over this machine to get it going. He did everything in his power to make it run. This machine now runs so well it doesn't even squeak. If it lasts for another year I will be more than happy, but the way it is going along now I expect it will give me much more use than his work guarantee of a year. this workman didn't even complain about my 4 dogs though I did my best to deal with their potty issues when he was here. Thanks to him I have clean sheets and clothes again. Thanks Appliance Rescue Company. I love clean clothes, and so do my dogs. Clean is great. Dirty bad :-( We like clean :-)

They were great and very personable. They ordered a part I needed and also replaced a timer on a washer. I liked that he didn’t gauge me on price or labor. I plan to use him again in the future.

My refrigerator light is out. After replacing the bulbs, I called Appliance Rescue for troubleshooting and repair. The appointment was set a couple days later between 3-5 PM. The technician called me around 11:30 on the day of the appointment saying he was in the area and wanted to know if he could come over around 1 PM rather than 3. I agreed and came home from work. The technician showed up just before 3 PM. He then troubleshot the lighting problem to a faulty switch that I knew was good from my own troubleshooting. He also said it would cost me $135 to replace the switch. I declined the repair and ordered the $12 switch off the Internet. Of course, the switch did not fix the problem. I'm not bent about the switch not fixing the problem. What upsets me is the technician calling to move the appointment up two hours then showing up at the original time. Then, to add insult to injury, he knew little more about appliance repair than I.

After two calls, I set up an appointment and I confirmed it the day before they did not show up in the 3 to 5 windo. They did not call as I made speial arrangements to get off of work. When I called them there was no apologies. I would not call them again.

The service rep only spent about 5-10 minutes analyzing the washer. He removed the front panel, used the flashlight a bit, turn the washer on and off, and then told me the problem was most likely in the control board. He called me back 30 mins or so later to tell me it would cost $450 to repair and maybe I should just buy a new one. I did not trust his opinion since he did not spend much time trying to understand what was wrong so I made an appointment with the manufacturer. The rep tested the circuitry of the washer and discovered that the motor had been burned out due to an electrical issue in the outlet where the washer was plugged. My lesson learned is that Appliance Rescue was not useful at all in trying to help me with my problem and I will not be calling them in the future.

I haven't had any problems with them. They did good repairing the stove. They were punctual and professional. I also thought the price was reasonable.

Patrick (an independent technician, I believe) arrived and first troubleshooted the machine. He ordered part and returned several days later. He was most personable and we had a little banter going on about topics other than the repair at hand. Unlike most other vendors who charge in like a bull and often mumble or apply sales pressure, Patrick was a pleasure to have in my home. No mess, no pressure, no problems. Part was installed and my problem solved. His estimate was on the money. I had previously checked the part's price.

Washing machine wasn't working at all. It was running water nonstop. It was an easy fix with the hose that only took about 2 minutes. They only charged $19.99. I was expecting to pay the normal $79.99 that most service companies charge, and was very happy to find such a small charge. I will definitely use them again!

They came and replaced the handle and that didn't solve the problem. They came back out and readjusted it, and the problem still isn't resolved. I'm not happy about it at all.

I called to get a repairman look at my dishwasher which wasn't working. I called at 9am and the operator took all of my information, name, address, telephone #, and type of appliance BEFORE checking her calendar. She then put me on hold to look for their appointment schedule for almost 8 minutes. When she came back on she told me their first appointment would be 2 days later and the last appointment slot of the day. When I told her I needed it sooner than that she told me "too bad, that's all we've got." Very unprofessional all around. I'll be finding another company.

The dishwasher was not functioning at all. The problem was melted circuitry. The wiring was repaired and the unit is working properly.

Very personable technician and back office personnel. When I explained the problem he already knew what it was and came with the part. I haven't had any problem with it since. Good job, fast service and nice people. I couldn't ask for more.

I have used them before and will use them again. Always timely, knowledgeable and fairly priced.

The technician struggled with the job. He pulled the fan motor and disappeared for over a week. When he returned he apparently had the wrong motor. This time he pulled the whole heater and never returned. I looked up the heater on the Internet and discovered a factory replacement was only $150 plus tax. It was available locally at a HVAC supply house. I purchased it myself and installed it in 15 minutes. I never did see the technician nor my old heater again. On the plus side, I also didn't pay him anything.

Responded within a day to our call. Sent a repairman a couple of days later. He fixed the dryer that day and returned the next day with the parts for the washer and fixed it. The repairman was very pleasant and seemed very competent. The charges were substantially more than I expected.

We called the company in order to repair a water leak in our washer. We got an appointment for the next business day (Monday) after the call. The repairman arrived within the promised time window. Identified the part that needed to be replaced (drain pump). Ordered the part, went to pick it up and replaced later the same day. Washer works fine.

I have used Appliance Rescue service before to repair my refrigerator, dishwater, and ice maker previously. I have always been impressed with their pricing and their service. I plan on using them in the future.
