BP Glass Garage Doors

COMPLETE CROOKS. STAY AWAY!!! 1. They won give you an appointment without a credit card authorization. 2. They charged me for work to fix their own mistakes. I paid them to change a garage door opener. Worker left and door still wouldn't open. Charged my card for that visit. OK Came back, took everything apart. put everything back together still didn't work, came back a 3rd day replaced the opener they installed the first visit, said it was defective. Door finally worked 2500$$$ later I was ok with the initial charge, even the charge for the new opener, but not ok paying for billable hours fixing their own mistakes. CROOKS

The garage door itself is gorgeous - very nicely made and beautiful finish, the process was so frustrating that I wish I had found another company. It’s too bad that the installation wasn't up to the same standard as the product. Nor was my contact, Rob Reyes. It took months and months just to manufacture one door. Then they couldn’t install it for another month or two after I gave them the go-ahead (too busy, they said). Then they postponed the installation again and offered no compensation for all the extra waiting. In fact, they didn’t even apologize. Rob says that the problems we experienced were all our fault, for a list of reasons that he is more than happy to list in detail. Some of his statements may be true, but another installer was able to work with all of them to create a more satisfactory end result. The door as installed was crooked in every direction. It leaned outward toward the top and it was further inside the frame on one side than the other. Not something that it would take a millimeter ruler to measure, but off by a half inch or more relative to the exterior door frame. When I contacted Rob about that, he refused to make any attempt to remedy the situation. I asked him to work with my husband to resolve this because I was busy, but he kept trying to contact me instead. It seemed like he thought he could bully a woman into backing down if he was aggressive enough. We got frustrated and decided to file a complaint with the state Contractor’s Board. The first step for that is to send a registered letter, but he refused to accept delivery of it. Again it seemed like he thought he would somehow bully us into backing down. Before going to the formal complaint process, we called another garage door installer. He spent less than an hour with my door, removed two clips near the bottom which in his words the BP crew was “too lazy to remove” and adjusted the weatherproofing strip. Now it looks much better and it operates more smoothly.
