A & J Tree Service

Called me back quickly for estimate and arrived on time. Agreed on a date, arrived promptly did the work with fabulous cleanup of my pool & yard. My tree destroyed my wooden fence leaving a large whole gap, they provided a temporary patch to keep the neighbors dog in their yard. I am so happy with the work done. All very professional. I would hire them in a heartbeat and will for any future services. No one should hesitate to use them. My front yard doesn't even look as if a tree was there! I can truly say thank goodness for Angie List.

This is my second time using A &J Tree Service. I have seven queen palm trees that surround my pool. Maintaining them is necessary to keep debris from clogging up the pool equipment. Roland and his crew are very professional and courteous, from the estimate to the clean up!

From the very first phone call to Roland, to the finished project, my wife and I could not have been happier or more impressed. Roland set up a time to meet me for a comprehensive and thorough estimate. He was early for the appointment, and did a phenomenal job making me comfortable with his level of professionalism and abilities. He carefully went over what was to be done and was clear on the pricing. I immediately set up the job for the following Saturday. He and his crew showed up early this morning and got right to work. They were extremely thorough, efficient, and safe. They completed the work in just over 4 hours and did not leave so much as a single leaf in their wake. The house looks amazing and I would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality, professional tree services.

The team of six workers and the boss arrived right on time and were finished in 3 hours. They have all the heavy machinery to grind the stumps to sawdust. I was very pleased. They cleaned up very well at the end.

We were very impressed with A and J tree service. Their bid was reasonably priced and they did very good work. Our tree looked great after the trim, they didn't butcher them but just kept them healthy and maintained. The lead arborist was very knowledgeable and friendly, we will definitely be using them again.

It was excellent, very good service. I liked the fact that they were very careful when cutting the limbs, they lowered the limbs down with ropes so they didn't just fall to the ground. They were punctual and clean. It was really great.

I called A&J for an estimate and they arrived at the time they stated. They described the work they would do, how long it would take and how they would get it done and than gave me the price. I call two other tree service companies who explained the same tree removal process but either stated they would take longer and the price was more expensive. I went with A&J and was satisfied from the very beginning. At 0800 on the day of service half of the crew arrived and began to prepare the site for the work. At 0820, the work started and by 1020 the first tree was removed and the stump grinded as stated. The rest of the job went as planned, they cleaned up my yard and a neighbors yard and the job was complete by 330 and they departed. I will call them again to lay sod in my back yard in the near future.

I called to make an appointment for a estimate, and my call was answered right away. The man that came to give me an estimate arrived a little before our appointment, which I liked. Everything he was going to do was explained, and put in writing. On the day of the job, once again the crew arrived on time. When they were finished I was impressed with how well they cleaned-up my yard, as this is an important item for me, as many conractors leave a mess. I was happy with the overall experience, and would recommend them to anyone.

Roland answered my phone call and we immediately set a date to estimate the trimming of trees in our yard. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, he was unable to make our appointment. As we had used him the year prior, I knew this was unusual. Upon his return to town, we re-scheduled and he promptly arrived. The appointment was for the following Saturday and Roland and his crew arrived right on time. The crew worked carefully as a team trimming our 60' Sycamore. The debris was cleaned and the tree looks great. We will definitely have A&J back for future needs.

Quoted us on 3/17/14 and performed the work on 3/18 in only 4 hours. I had 4 previous quotes for the same job and prices ranged from 1000-1800. Very professional crew they did a good job cleaning up. Trees look good.

Roland was the person I dealt with and he gave me an estimate the day after I called. He was very courteous and showed up on time. He was also very knowledgeable about the trees and thoroughly explained the process they use. They showed up on time, were very professional and did an excellent job of cleaning up when they finished.

Roland came out on 3/4/14 for an estimate. We needed six trees removed that were unsightly or threatening the foundation. The others would be "maybes" dependent on price. He walked around our yard, identifying each of the trees, and provided an estimate. The price was more than reasonable, and we scheduled for 3/10/14 the following day. On 3/10/14, Roland arrived with his crew about 15 minutes early. They had a chipper, two hauling trucks, a stump grinder, and all the equipment needed to chip away some of our concrete and clean up at the end. They got started right at 8:00 a.m., and I left to take my child to school at 8:30 a.m. When I returned from that and some errands at 10:30 a.m., all the palms were gone and the branches from the two silk oaks were being chipped. I walked into the back yard, and all four trees in the back were cut down to stumps, as well. Wow, were they fast! They finished by 3:00 p.m. (Did I mention there were 12 trees and countless saplings?) The palm holes were all filled with dirt, and three of our trees were cut into lengths and stacked for future fire wood (the silk oaks and the elm, what we asked for). Our property was completely clean when they were done too. Now we'll get to landscape with the trees we want to grow (and keep away from our foundation). These guys were so professional and hardworking, we would definitely recommend A&J.

Service was great. Owner met with my elderly aunt and carefully explained all the details. He set expectations about what he could do and provided a very fair price. On the day of the service, the crew arrived on time, completed the work quickly (couple hours) and cleaned up before leaving. My aunt was very pleased.

Quick response to inquiry (actually answered the phone - What a concept!) Came out same day and provided estimate (very fair price) Showed up on the day promised, quickly and neatly removed all traces of the trees. Very impressive - Would recommend anytime!

called and they answered, came out the next day to look at the tree. Quoted 600 for everything including stump grinding which was a great price compared to another quote I received for almost triple. They happened to have a hole in the schedule and removed the tree while I was at work. Came home to no tree. Only negative is there were big dings in my asphalt driveway but since its already jacked up from roots and age, I chose to ignore that. They did a great job otherwise and kept it clean. Some sawdust all over but thats to be expected. Would call them again for the excellent prices.

Several of the trees hadn't been trimmed in many years and were quite overgrown. They did a very nice job in trimming and shaping the trees. The backyard doesn't look like a jungle anymore! Would definitely hire them again - good work, cleaned everything up - and at a very decent price.

We contacted A & J Tree Service and set an appointment for an estimate. Roland, the person my husband spoke with on the phone arrived on time and together with my husband went through the tasks that needed to be performed. The estimate of cost was better than we'd expected and we made a date for the services to be done. On the morning the job was to be done, the crew was on time and got right to work with several crew members and Roland. Exactly what was ask for was done and all debris was removed. Several of the trees were very old and in need of just the right care which they received. My husband and I did a walk through with Roland and another crew member to make sure all of our needs had been met. We were also given information on the health of one of our more important trees so that we would know to address the issue at a future date. We simply couldn't be happier with A & J Tree Service. They were polite, prompt, competent, helpful and respectful of us and our property. There is one thing I'd really like to stress that impressed us, that was the continuity of beginning our relationship with this company with Roland, Roland participating and overseeing the job and doing the final walk through with us. This one on one service made us feel comfortable and properly cared for.

A&J did a great job trimming the trees, The work took two days to complete because of the size of the trees. They were professional and resolved any issues that I had.

After getting 3 estimates, I chose this company due to their professionalism. It is a family owned business and they have a reputation for being honest and reliable. They proved to be so from beginning to end. Though they were not the least expensive bid, they were certainly worth every penny spent. My request was to trim an oak tree near my garage which stands about 50 ft up. From arriving on time to give the bid, fast response on the price, quick to schedule and do the job, and doing the work itself, their performance was excellent. I was informed on how the job was to be done including covering my garage roof to keep it safe and having to enter my neighbor's yard for access. The trimming was done to perfection correctly leaving the tree in great shape. They made sure to ask me along the way about removing certain branches and kept me aware of how the trim was progressing. My neighbor had been complaining to me about removing some hanging branches over her yard and after the trim was done, she was so impressed, she asked for their name and #. They delivered the work, did a clean up to very high standards without any damage. They mulched the branches removed and gave me several bins full so I could use it in my yard. I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them to those who are serious about good tree maintenance and feel their trees are worth it.

On time for the quote and explained how they would be doing the job. The Eucalyptus trees were my main concern the limbs were touching both houses and they were gigantic. If one of the cut limbs dropped and hit either roof, not only the tiles would be smashed, they were big enough to go right through the rafters. He had all his paperwork with him to show he is a contractor in good standing and has general liability above and beyond anything dictated by California. We set the time and day and he was 10 minutes early; he and his guys were friendly and fast and did a great job. It was impressive to watch them. His price was competitive and he service was excellent.

Had a couple Pine trees dying in the backyard and had been putting it off. Santa Ana winds had picked up a couple days earlier and made a huge mess....I needed them cut down asap. Gave A&J Tree Service a call and Roland answered right away... He was very professional and was able to schedule an appointment to provide an estimate that same day. He came out, on time, and checked the trees out. He was very knowledgable and explained that it wasn't disease that was killing the trees, but they were definitely dying and needed to be removed. He provide an estimate on the spot and I accepted his proposal. He and his crew arrived on time and got right to work. Very professional -- all their equipment & trucks looked brand new. I left and was not around for the removal, but the area was super clean when I returned (i.e., they had picked up all the pine needles and other waste then swept or blown the areas clean). They even grinded down a couple more (existing) stumps that I had not paid for....they just went above and beyond. It was an great experience. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.
