+ -1 moreHe’s EXCELLENT. A+! He built it custom and pointed out that the previous installation left about a 1 inch gap. He recommended a separate brand than I initially wanted and I'm definitely happier. He was very punctual and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and definitely recommend him!
Description of Work: I had him replace my skylight (the plastic had cracked).

Description of Work: Made several calls to this company and never even received a return phone call. We have used numerous contractors on Angies list and have always been very pleased. Unfortunately this is one company that we won't be using and will not recommend to our neighbors.

Description of Work: Do not use this resourse for Skyllghts! I contracted for one large skylight and two tube lights. The work was not completed correctly, had to be re-done and was not entirely completed as promised. Communication was very difficult as phone calls were not answered and messages not responded to at all! Very unsatisfactory.

Description of Work: Harlan replaced a skylight at my mother's house. He did it very quickly. The skylight was ordered and came in on Thursday. He installed it the next day on Friday. He had done quality work at my house 15 years ago. I found him again on Angie's List and called him to do the work on my mother's house. I know he's very experienced when it comes to skylights.

+ -1 moreWe have two 25 year old skylights with manual opening mechanisms. The skylights are still in great shape, but the opening mechanism had stripped out. I contacted the manufacturer. They set me a new mechanism. I am a middle capacity DIYer, but found that this job was beyond me. Most of the contractors listed under Angie's List for skylights wanted no part of repair of skylights- they only wanted to replace both skylights for $1000-$1200. A couple of contractors wouldn't do the skylights unless we re-roofed with them. Harlan Smith not only replaced the actuators, but he used the one I had already obtained from the manufacturer rather than making me buy both through him. He got the work done in less than a morning, two hours if I remember correctly, and cleaned up after himself. The installation has worked through the summer just fine. We couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: He replaced the operating mechanism on two openable skylights.
