Everything went spectacularly well! They were on time and completed the project in under an hour. There were some unforeseen difficulties which were effectively overcome. I was thoroughly impressed with the efficiency of the work.

We were not happy with how it went. In advance of the appointment, i sent photos of our faucet so that they could have the replacement parts ready. When they arrived, they only had the hose not the faucet head. They were going to charge an additional $130 for the head (that was on top of the service call fee and the hose). This seemed exorbitant to us given retail prices of these basic equipment supplies. We argued that we should receive a break because they should have had all the pieces with them at the initial visit. They were not swayed by this and did not agree that they should have had supplied with them.

Got a quote from them but didn't use them. Had to wait weeks for appointment with estimator, but he arrived punctually and was professional. Prepared proposal in a timely manner. We thought cost was too high and chose another contractor.

Very Well - the repair was done efficiently & the technician was able to repair a tub faucet leak under the time constraints I had set.

The actual onsite plumbing work was top notch. I'm pretty handy and can recognize excellent plumbing work when I see it. Each plumber they sent was very skilled. The reason(s) I did not give them an overall A are: - They're very busy, so getting scheduled in is not quick. - The first visit, the plumber showed up not knowing he was to install a hot water heater. So took a week or so to get them back out. Poor coordination between the sales guy I placed the order with and the service team. - Went thru 2 "advanced tech" recirc pumps before we all gave up and installed the most basic model. Turns out Valley specd this problematic pump but had never worked with it. So probably took a month before the recirc pump issues were resolved. A frustrating process, but am happy with the final result... They did try their best to make things right and to not overcharge me for "debug" time, so kudos to them. So bottom line, these guys are excellent plumbers, though pretty expensive. As always, ask a lot of questions (eg, how many of this model of pump have you installed?) to be sure you're getting what you want. After this experience, I now trust them and would definitely work with them again.

Great. On time, professional. Even found a screw fallen from under sink and fixed it as well. Lovely service. Will use again.

We had out of town guests and had a plumbing issue in the late afternoon on a Friday. Valley sent out someone who took care of the problem by the end of day. They saved the day, (as well as the weekend), to say the least.

We've been basically satisfied with them. They did not charge me for fixing the kitchen faucet as that was their fault. The end result was good, but sometimes they do something incorrectly but they do fix it and take care of the problem is something wasn't done quite right.

Not well, even though I was a long term client of this company having found them on Angie's list years ago. This company has too much work and not enough employees. I had to plan to be home three separate days for their four hour window and then they had less then three hours each visit to do the work. After a week the issue is larger and there is a hole in my backyard. The owner of this company and his supervisors acted as if I was lucky to work with them. I do not recommend this company.

I needed a part for our shower faucet in a rental home. They didn't have it but said they could order it and would call me when it came in. I did find it in another location and they never called me. So mixed bag.. they definitely know their stuff but not great follow-up.

They installed toilets and completed other plumbing projects for us. They are great!

It was a tough job, but they persevered, and solved the problem.

The services went well. I am always happy with the services that Valley plumbing provides. I've been using them since we bought our house over 10 years ago and have had a consistently good experience from step 1 (scheduling) to billing. The plumber who came out was punctual, courteous, and well skilled at his craft. He was done in an hour. He even spot cleaned the area when he was done. Hands down one of the best service providers we've used. We will continue using them in the future.

Prompt scheduling, recommended we pick out a hot water dispenser before the visit to save trip time, which we did but their showroom price for the unit was higher than we found elsewhere... so we bought a unit elsewhere and the plumber was fine about installing that one instead. Very courteous, called to come earlier than scheduled, friendly and helpful service. I have used them before and would use them again. It's nice to be able to visit their show room and discuss options before a visit, and to get parts there when needed.

It took them just a couple of days to finish. It turned out great. We have used them in the past.

The plumber showed up on time to replace the hot water heater and completed the job in just a few hours and then also give me some advice on a running toilet that I had. He filed the papers for the inspector and the inspection went fine a few weeks later. The price quoted before the job was the price I paid afterwards. I had gotten lower quotes but there was always a caveat on the price offered. Valley Plumbing was straight forward and honest. I would use them again.

They were very professional over the phone and in person. Very detailed written quote and contract. The two workmen were very polite, punctual, and professional. They wore booties in the house so not to track mud and dirt. We were very happy with the service. I would highly recommend them.

They always do my plumbing.They're really good, I like them a lot. I had them do lots of different plumbing. They were really good. What happened was, all of a sudden, one night before bed, for some reason I thought I heard water and underneath my laundry sink, it was shooting hot water up, and so I was able to turn it off and then they came out the next day. My husband is overseas, traveling for business so I called and they came out the next day, it turns out it was my faucet that actually failed and it was not repairable, it was an older faucet. But the guy helped me out here all this time, He asked, is there anything else you need? I said, I had a leaky toilet in my bathroom where the valve comes out of the wall, he said, I can replace that with a quarter turn one so I only ended up paying for the part for that. I like the fact that even though he could've walked out of my house, he said, you paid for this hour and I thought that really kind of stand out. Tha's why I like Valley Plumbing because they're kind of like that, they do those stuff. The first time I chose him was it was a water heater issue and they responded right away. There was no delay and I didn't feel like I was being gouged price wise even though it was obviously it had a destress kind of situation, to me that's a big deal. They're very helpful and they've always been helpful for me.

Pro: The estimator showed up on time. Con: Overpriced. I received 4 bids and to make sure that I compare apples to apples, I will state only the labor part. The 4 bids are $5500, $6700, $7800 and $11200. The $11200 is the labor part of Valley Plumbing. Valley Plumbing's bid does not include painting the wall, while the other bids do include painting the wall. All 4 bids include necessary building materials such as copper pipe, studs, cement board, sheet rock, ventilation, etc. As an example of how overpriced Valley Plumbing is, let's look at the labor cost of tiling the tub wall. Valley Plumbing charges $3722.60 to tile approximately 72 sq ft. This comes to $51.70 to put one tile on the wall!!!! Here is another way that I understand this. Let's say it takes approximately 10 hours to tile 72 sq ft... Then the labor Valley Plumbing charges is $372.26 an hour!!!!! I am also disappointed about wall painting. First, I find it strange that Valley Plumbing charges such a high price for bathroom remodeling and yet for some reason does not do such a simple thing as painting the wall. Secondly, on the day of the estimate, the estimator did not reveal the fact that Valley Plumbing does not paint the wall. He only let me know several days later when I called to ask. UPDATE (7/23/2014) I have updated my rating based on the following: 1. You are unresponsive. I sent your store an email on June 26. One of the employees (Sharon) forwarded my email to you. You decided to not respond directly to my email. Instead, you waited until I posted a negative review on Angie's list and decided to post a response. 2. Much of your response is sales pitch rant. In fact, in your rush to rant your sales pitch, you "forgot" to respond to several issues I raised. For example: a. You "forgot" to acknowledge that on the day of the estimate, your estimator failed to disclose the fact that your company does not paint walls. b. You "forgot" to explain why unlike other companies, your company does not paint walls. c. You "forgot" to explain why you have to hire a sub instead of having your own employees paint walls. A few weeks ago, your estimator told me the opposite, that your company does not use subs. d. You "forgot" to explain why your labor cost for tiling is so high (approximately $51.70 to put one tile on the wall or $372.26 an hour). I found the following on your website: "With our licenses in plumbing and general contracting, we can perform all the services needed to coordinate your project." I am wondering why it doesn't read: "With our licenses in plumbing and general contracting, we can perform all the services needed to coordinate your project, EXCEPT PAINTING." Now, let me respond to some of your questions. You asked why I did not post the most expensive bid in the review. The answer is the most expensive bid is an informal oral quote and I never received a written detailed estimate from that company, so I cannot figure out the labor cost for that company. In the interest of comparing apples to apples, I decided not to use that company in the review. The 3 bids I used to compare to your bid in the review, came with detailed written estimates. I assure you that I am comparing apples to apples and the other 3 companies are every bit as good and sometimes better than your company. For example, one of them has been in business for 35 years and even manufactures quality bathroom products. That company certainly has a store that I can walk into any time. Another company also has a beautiful showroom next to a major freeway and displays major bathroom products such as RonBow, Toto, Duravitz, Grohe, Roln, etc. And yes, that company has trucks with the name of the company on it and they all have the proper insurance. I want to challenge you on two things. First, you say you "are standing behind what you do for years to come and if there is a problem your customers can walk through your door and tell you all about it." My challenge is: Can you stand behind what you said and GUARANTEE YOUR SERVICE "FOR YEARS TO COME?" That is, can you guarantee that if there is something wrong with your service for YEARS after, then you will fix the problems with NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE? And if you cannot guarantee your service for years to come, then what does your statement mean? Does it mean your customers can walk through your door and tell you about the problems, THEN PAY YOU MORE TO FIX THE PROBLEMS? Now my second challenge. You seem to say that your price for my bathroom remodel is high because there are hidden material costs that add up quickly. This is very vague. So let me make it more precise by looking at just one item: tiling the tub wall. You charge $4442 including a material allowance of $719.40 for the tiles. So I subtract $4442 - $719.40 = $3722.60. This is the labor part. There are approximately 72 sq ft to be tiled (your estimate shows 90 square feet and I understand that we need to buy more than 72 square feet of tiles, but the labor is only for 72 square feet). This comes to $3722.60/72 = $51.70 to put one tile on the wall (just the labor). If I assume that it takes approximately 10 hours to tile 72 sq ft, then the labor you charge is $372.26 an hour. My challenge to you is can you tell me precisely what materials other than tiles and grout you need to tile the tub wall? Feel free to subtract the cost of these materials from the $4442 total, then divide by 72 square feet or 10 hours AND PLEASE JUSTIFY YOUR UNREASONABLE HIGH PRICE. They arrived on time, and while he was still in the hallway the technician put covered his footwear with disposable covers. He proceeded with the installation, and did it within the hour. I had already removed the original toilet. The technician was very personable and efficient. That is all I ask for.
