We didn't hit it off too well. I didn't think they were all that responsive. The guy's attitude was like he was doing me a big favor by giving me a quote. They wanted to do the job over a 3 or 4 day period. His proposal said that I was supposed to give him a down payment and I was supposed to pay him at intervals after a certain amount of work was done each time. The contrast between what they were going to do and what the other company I went with did was 4 or 5 hours. It looked to me that they were overdoing a lot of things. It may have been a very legitimate quote, but I don't know what it was that caused their quote to be twice of what the other company quoted. My neighbor's brother-in-law, who is a contractor, thought that their quote seemed to be somewhat higher than was warranted for the job. It was $5000.00 more than the company I went with. That is why I didn't go with them. There was a clash between the sales guy that came out and actually made the quote and myself. He and I didn't seem to hit it off very well and I think I am a pretty easygoing guy most of the time. He was arrogant about it and that ticked me off. It was as though he was doing me a big favor. It was as though it was a small job for them. The quote was very detailed, but why would I pay him every 2 hours for ongoing work if they should be able to do it in one day. Maybe they were going to take longer, so that would be a down side. I had mixed feelings about them. They quoted me around $10000.00 for the job. It didn't feel like they were all that interested. I had to wait a week before they came out. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. He showed up when he said he was going to. The guy's attitude was probably something else. It may have just been between him and me. He might be perfect to somebody else. He didn't hit it off with me very well.

We had a leak in our kitchen that was destroying the floor. I called these plumbers to find and fix the leak. The gentleman came promptly, put booties on his feet, and asked for a description of the problem. From that point on, he worked diligently, without pause. He found the problem relatively quickly and explained it to me. His initial attempt to fix it was not working, and he explained why to me, but then he managed to get his fix to work. The rubber hose to my fridge had sprung a leak beneath the cabinets, and he replaced this with mouse-proof copper hose. While performing this work, he noticed the sorry state of some other of my pipes and recommended fixing them at a future date. I was aware the pipes had problems, and I scheduled another appointment to have this work performed in the future.

Great. We have one guy we've always asked for, and he's been perfect. He has caught several things that the home inspection missed, and we're grateful for that. He's friendly, and does quality work. In one case, where I expected I'd get a "good enough" job, the job surpassed my expectations, and I was happy to see that quality of work (where the kitchen drain cleanout was upgraded to code rather than just fix a bad thread joint).

Heard water flowing in the garage. After some hunting, found a leak behind the sheetrock. Called Valley Plumping around 11:00 and was given a 12:00 arrival time. At about 11:30 the plumber arrived. He immediately asked where the problem was, and went to work. Problem turned out to be a pinhole leak in one of the pipes. So after cutting out the bad section. He went to his truck and started dry fitting the new assembly, and then cleaning the areas to be soldered. He then soldered the new joints and inspected all with an mirror. Turned on the water and back in business. Was there about 3 hours and only charged me for 2. Would recommend to any and all!

We used them twice and overall they were good. I will go ahead and use them again. I think they are little highly priced.

We had a issue with our water heater and the first company that came out said that we needed to buy a new unit. Then Valley came in and changed one small part and it works great. Their hourly rate was good and they didn't overcharge us.

Overall experience was positive at first as Valley Plumbing was part of the community for so many years and we had bought many remodeling items from them over 20 years ago. However, positive quickly went to negative and more negative as problems continued to occur with the water heater and Valley Plumbing seemed more interested in getting money and more money from the continual water heater problems we had instead of looking at how to help the customer minimize the costs and resolve the problem once and for all. Like I indicated above in the services provided, I could have had a brand new water heater for the expenses I incurred from Valley Plumbing. Also, we have asked to speak to the service manager but no one has returned our request........ Customers are not important but profit is.

Visited their office and showroom, saw the 50 gallon water heater they use. the price was fair and I was given a price based on all the work and contingencies. Work done the next day, although they had to make 1 brief return visit the day after to finish installation of an overflow valve required by code.

Very smooth from start to finish. They came out to examine the old water heater, noted the changes that were needed for a new water heater (installing a drop pan), and provided a detailed estimate. Work was done on time, on budget, with no issues.

They identified the problem and repaired it promptly and with quality workmanship. They have repaires broken faucets and valves in my home on several occasions.

We called on Thursday, 3/18/10, Valley Plumbing was able to schedule the service on Friday, 3/19/10. David arrived on time, did all the work within the estimated hours and cleaned up the site. It was a pleasant and easy experience.

Initial contact was speedy - I e-mailed inquiring about their services through their website and someone responded back either the same day or the next day. They told me upfront on the phone that their labor, not including parts was $124.50 (I appreciated that there weren't any surprise charges - I knew the price range that the service would cost). The mechanic, Namen, arrived on time, and within an hour he was finished. He was professional and courteous. My only two critiques - there were some screws on the ground after the work was done, and I had to wait almost 2 weeks for them to service my water heater. But I figure it's because they do such good work that they're in demand and that's why they're so busy. I would definitely recommend this business to my friends and neighbors.

They have a very nice showroom where you can actually look at things. The guys who came out were very professional and they did a really good job. They are not the cheapest place in town, but they will offer a discount if you buy your hardware from them for the installation. They are generally flexible with the date if you are having remodeling done. They always lay down a mat and wear the little booties to keep the house clean. They do a really good job and I really trust the work that they do. I trust that the work will be done right the first time. They offer suggestions that save me more work in the end. For example, when they installed the sink they suggested that we should replace the supply hoses at the same time as the sink. You cannot put a new faucet on with old supply hoses. They make recommendations so that they do not have to come back three or four times, because they did not do something or they tried to cut corners. I like that I can walk into the showroom and they have a bunch of things that I can look at. They helped me with an energy rebate coupon when I did not know that toilets qualified. They copied the paperwork and receipts for me. So when they came out they loaded the toilet into the back of the pickup for me and told me where to go to have to old toilet recycled. They people who work there are all nice and they never made me feel pressured to make a decision. I know that I can go into the showroom three or four times. It is a really great place. Having the plumbing and the showroom all in the same place is really nice. I would definitely call them back out for anymore plumbing work.

Called Thursday morning and was scheduled for an appointment Monday, between 12:00-4:00. Was told if an earlier appointment became available they would call. They called early Monday morning with an earlier appointment, but I missed the call. Since I work near my home their in route call enabled me to remain at work until their 1:30 arrival. The whole process took a little less than one hour from locating and uncovering the clean-out cap in front of the house through the exchange of paperwork and payment. The plumber was polite and professional and focused on his work.

I found this company through Angie's List. Normally, I would have just picked someone out of the phone book. I would like to personally thank James for a job well done. I definitely would use this company again. James explained everything up front and was very nice.

The two-man crew from Valley Plumbing arrived toward the end of the 4-hour morning time window and went right to work. I appreciated the office calling me twice and letting me know when to expect them. Work on the toilet went smoothly and only took about 30 minutes. Jason and his assistant were very courteous. Before leaving, Jason left me a packet of info including a $15 coupon for future service.

They did the entire job, including removing all old fixtures and flooring, and installed new vanity with cultured granite top, clear glass shower, tile floor, new electric outlets and lighting. They were on time every day, cleaned up the work area daily and were very precise and professional in their work.

Our hall bath tub was leaking from both the drain and the overflow area. It was leaking directly into the crawl space, and hence required the Plumber, David, to get into the crawl space multiple times. He was courteous, professional, and respectful of our property at all times. The leak was repaired and we have not had any trouble since. We have used Valley Plumbing three or four times over the last many years and have always been pleased with the quality of their work. For completeness, I must add that they are more expensive than other plumbers I have used. But I have always been satisfied with the work, and that is worth a little additional expense to me. Highly recommended.

We got a prompt response and estimate appointment. The appointment was very professional and everything was explained clearly. All work was done according to the schedule we were presented. The workers were professional, polite, and efficient. It took almost a week and a half from start to finish, as they had to cut holes in our ceilings and walls to access all the pipes, then repair and replaster everything. They did a good job of keeping inconvenience to a minimum, and cleaning up afterward. We noticed a new water stain on the new ceiling after we'd already painted it, and were worried it was a leak. This was on a Sunday, but they responded promptly and sent someone out right away. As it was, the stain was water that took its time showing up from a previous leak, but we were very happy they sent someone out so fast. I would highly recommend Valley Plumbing.

Overall the job went well, I would use their services again. They round up for the half hour but that seems to be industry standard. Their rates do seem competitive.

The faucets were old and I had difficulty in locating fixtures that would work. The people at Valley Plumbing were professional, polite, and willing to spend the extra time to make sure the job was done correctly. Their prices averaged out to be fair. Some stuff was a little expensive, and some stuff was less expensive. Overall, I would highly recommend this company. I continue to go back even when I know I'm paying a little more. Quality, and treating people right, are worth the money.
