We got 5 bids, estimates varied widely, and Custom was the low bid. They scheduled the work promptly, quickly, and installed everything on time. Salesman was informative, and easy to work with. The two owners are involved and obviously interested in maintaining a sterling reputation.

They were wonderful. They had a very personal touch and were kind people. They were very professional. I couldn't ask for better people.

By accident they had ordered a couple of windows wrong. One of the windows was 9?x12? tall. They had to reorder another window. They did it cheerfully and took responsibility for it. I had a scratch on my window and they came out and replaced it. They were very knowledgeable, and it was very easy to work with them. Their price was very good. However, my husband was quite disappointed with all the dust that entered the house.

From sales to installation they were very professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and honest. During the sales process Rob Rowe was excellent in answer questions, providing facts, tips, etc. At the final measurement one of the owners came out to make sure things were correct. The scheduling department was easy to work with and they showed up on time for the installation. The installers were friendly, smiled, worked hard, and did an excellent job. A month later and everything is still looking good and working properly. During painting I noticed a small part of the master bedroom window that wasn't sealed with caulking. I called to ask them the best material to pick up at a local hardware store. They insisted on coming out and filling in the gaps. I was very impressed!

I called the office for an appointment. They Scheduled Grayeagle Porter to come out the next week. I had 4 other quotes from different companies. He was on time and had samples to show me all the different products available for my project. He showed me multiple windows from different companies and was able to explain the difference in ratings and and industry standards. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He was very comfortable to work with. He really made us feel confident that he was here to sell us more than a great product, but also a great experience. Jim and his crew showed up for the install and went above and beyond to help us through the install. The window coverings were simple I had already researched the products colors and style I wanted. They were able to measure and order Hunter Douglas and help me complete that as well. The install went just as well. From the beginning to end I had a great experience. They were not the lowest priced quote, yet competitive in price but I was willing to spend the extra money feeling confident that I was going with the right company. I can say I feel that I got more than my moneys worth. My project is complete and I am very happy and would be very happy to recommend this company to anyone.

He was prompt, thorough, and he gave a good quote. They came out to measure and they brought things like brochures.

All the work was done in 2 days. The crew was very neat with my home and did not make a mess. The workmanship was very good. The old windows were totally removed and replaced with the new windows. I took out the permit. The crew called for inspection. The inspector passed the window installation. The crew was very helpful and helped me rehang some of my window treatments when the job was done. The windows were cleaned and I was asked to inspect the job before signing off the completion of work.

From the first meeting to assess our job we knew that this company had their act together. Sales rep Grayeagle Porter arrived on time with samples to study and complete answers for all our questions. His was not the only bid we received but it was competitive price-wise and reassuring in the pressure-free and informative presentation. Every step of the process from measurement to final installation. was handled with the greatest degree of professionalism and respect for our property. The installation crew arrived on time, protected our furniture and carpeting with drapes and tarps and set to work in a true team effort. Each man knew his job and performed it with great efficiency and amazing neatness. I had been concerned about possible rain that was in the forecast but by the end of Day 1, all the windows were in place and the house was sealed against possible showers which didn't materialize. The next day and a half were devoted to trimming, caulking, polishing the new windows, rehanging my window covering hardware and final clean-up which wasn't much since they cleaned as they went. They had estimated 3 days but finished in 2 1/2 - not rushed, just efficient. Miquel and crew left our house better then they found it. The finished job and the company owners and staff that made it happen exceeded my very high expectations. We have hired a lot of contractors who have done a lot of work on our 30 year old house. Windows by Anlin and installation by Custom Exteriors was the product and the company worth waiting for. This experience was the best and we are truly happy customers.

The salesman, Grayeagle Porter, obviously knew his stuff. He showed us comparisons of other companies? products and methods and showed my wife and I samples to inspect and gave us his recommend choices. This information made our decision much easier. His measuring process took just a few hoursThey started on 3/3/04 and finished on 2/5/10. The install took place while my wife and I were working and over the three days of the process Leo Nunez & his crew cleaned up so there was no construction mess when we got home from work each day. We couldn't be happier with the result. We can tell already that the house is staying warmer and using less energy.

Our quote was on Nov 20, delivery and installation was completed December 23. Considering year end shuffle for folks to get 2009 energy credits, I was impressed. What held things up was a dogie door that fit inside the sliding glass door had to be special ordered from out of state. The supplier for the dogie door sent the wrong size door and I am still waiting for the the door. (4-6 weeks backlog). Rob and Kevin made sure I had a sliding door the next day to hold us over. One small snag, the pet door insert that we had purchased a few months back was removed, we asked the installing crew to save it for us and it disappeared. The install was underway in near zero weather and in the dark so I can see why they may have forgotten to save it for us. We expect to be credited or receive a new one from them. Highly professional and service oriented company. Very clean and fast installers. I would recommend the to family!

I really liked them. They were very professional. It took a lot longer than we wanted it to, but I can't say it was there fault because there was an order mess up. They knocked off $500 because of it.

We used custom exteriors twice, once for the bedroom/living room/kitchen window replacement, and a year later we used their services to replace our bathroom windows. The sales person we worked with was Rob Rowe. He was very professional and informative, not to mention nice. The first time we contacted him, I was 9 months pregnant and wanted to get the job done asap. He managed to get us the new windows installed within 2 weeks of our first meeting with him! The crew that did the installation was just as professional and nice. The quality of the windows is very good. Our original windows were 1964 single pane ones, and needless to say they were not very energy efficient. the new Anlin windows Custom Exteriors installed for us helped take the temperature inside the house down by almost 10 degrees! The following winter we noticed a similar effect in keeping the house warmer. When it was time to remodel our bathrooms, we contacted Rob again, and he was just as happy to help us despite the small scale of the job. When the new windows arrived, we found out they were the wrong sizes...We immediately contacted Rob, and he immediately got Jeff, one of the owners, involved as well. Jeff came personally to take the measurements a second time, and rush ordered our new windows. He took full responsibility, apologized and did everything in his power to get the job done right and quickly. we were very impressed with the way this problem was handled. I think this incident actually made us appreciate Custom Exteriors, Jeff and Rob even more. Errors happen even to the best of us, but not all companies react the way they did, and in our eyes this was a great show of their professionalism and great customer service. We would definitely use them for future projects, and we highly recommend them for window replacement.

Custom Exteriors' large crew of 6 showed up promptly and went immediately to work. They all worked diligently and efficiently because they knew I had a deadline to meet. I was having out of town guests stay over in a week and needed the windows done before the guests arrived. The crew worked all the way through lunch from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and if anybody took a little time off to eat their lunch, they must have individually rotated in and out quickly since I didn't notice any slowdown in work activities during lunch hours. We were impressed by their attentiveness to small details throughout the entire window construction project. At the end of each day, my house was so clean that you couldn't even tell the crew had been there. The entire project took less time than we had anticipated. They completed it in 3 days; we had anticipated 5 days! Thank you Custom Exteriors for your excellent, diligent work! We would hire you guys again in a heart beat!

The short answer is that I highly recommend Custom Exteriors, and anyone looking at replacing their windows should have them on their vendor short list. We narrowed our options down to two vendors; the other vendor offered the Integrity line but at a much higher price than Custom Exteriors, and they were pushing us toward the Milgard Tuscany line of vinyl windows. Sure, it would have been cheaper to go with vinyl, and we also could have gotten those from Custom Exteriors. But when you see them in the showroom together, there's simply no comparison. We want to be in our house for a long time, and want windows that we're going to love and will last for 30+ years. The warmth and "class" of the Integrity wood and the versatility of the fiberglass (comes in many colors, or paint it any color you want...vs white or beige for vinyl) was orders of magnitude above Milgard. The finished product lived up to our expectations in every respect. The one subcontractor on the project was Joanna Lazaridis, whom we also highly recommend. She is a true artist and takes great pride in her work, doing the interior staining and exterior painting. We wanted to tie in the warm cherry finish of the cabinets in our kitchen, and she matched the color beautifully (even sorting through the natural variations that come in based on the wood underneath). Of course, she had great workmanship in place before her, with a high-quality installation. Many of our windows are the maximum size you can get (6 x 9'), and taking out the 50+-year-old single panes and getting the big replacements up to the second story was not a small task. The Custom Exteriors team knew what they were doing. Now, this is not to say that the project was without its challenges. Being a Project Manager myself, I know first-hand how things can happen, and it's going to be unique to each project. The key to being able to work through these issues was Jack Cooper, who was our representative from beginning to end. If something was wrong, we talked with Jack and he made sure it was put right. (If you can, see if you can have him on your project as well!) Here are the main tips to minimize the possibility for gaps: * We paid for our windows when we refinanced our house. Refis are taking a very long time (i.e., many months) right now, and we started talking with Jack when we first filed for the refi in order to know how much extra money we needed to request. Once your refi is done and you're ready to move on the project, if a lot of time has elapsed, restart the conversation on what you want with the mindset that you're starting from scratch. Even if your contact is very good about writing everything down, you want to make sure that you're on the same page about even the small details and no one's memory (yours or theirs) of what's wanted has drifted over the intervening months. * Sometimes other folks, like the window manufacturer, may get involved in measuring, etc. This can sometimes set up a "game of telephone" where one person misunderstands a requirement or thinks that something is intended to be a certain way, and then communicates it to others. Always make sure you're reviewing any new documentation of what's being ordered thoroughly to make sure that nothing got misinterpreted. You might even want to keep your own list of what's been agreed, so you've got a "baseline" against which you can compare any new documents. Again, even with these challenges, Jack and Custom Exteriors made sure that everything was put right, and that the windows we had installed at the end of the job were exactly what we wanted. We're looking forward to enjoying the next 30+ years with Custom Exteriors' excellent work.

For several years, I've wanted to replace my 2 sliding glass doors (in kitchen and family room) with French doors. I received several estimates that I thought were extremely too expensive for doors, so I decided to wait. This year, I finally had time to look into getting estimates again. I called Custom Exteriors and and they sent an estimator out within a few days. The estimator, Grayeagle Porter, was very knowledgeable and walked me through the whole process including the permits that I would need to get and also answered all my questions. I felt I received a good price also with the coupon I had for their company which was GREAT! Once I decided to go with their company, it took about a month before the doors could be installed due to scheduling (both mine and theirs). But the installation went okay. The install took the whole day, and the supervisor, Jim, had to leave to before the crew was entirely finished. Unfortunately it was not until a couple of days later, that I notice a small chuck of concrete missing from the upstairs kitchen side of the new doors. This was pointed out to me by city inspector for final inspection which I have to get fixed. Otherwise, everything else went okay. I do love the new look of my doors and gives the house a new and more elegant look. I received great comments from friends and even the city inspector on how great the doors look!

Custom Exteriors did a super job! From start to finish we received excellent, courteous, and professional service from everyone involved, including Grayeagle, who provided the quote and advice on product selection, the crew of 6 workers led by Francisco, who installed the windows, and everyone else involved in the process. They completed the work in the timeframe we were told to expect. The windows look great!

They were on time, budget, and schedule. Their quoting process was transparent. Their prices and service were good. They were great!

The contact noted on Angies List never returned my call. A subsequent call to the company found a different individual who came out in a timely manner, discussed my project and prepared a bid. The salesman was very pleasant, but the proposal was delayed. The proposed cost was inline with two others that I received. My inquiries about that proposal were immediately responded to.

It was a very professional job from start to finish. Gray Eagle gave us the initial estimate...no high pressure sale and we completed the deal with Jeff Kendall who provided helpful advice on product selections. The work started on time and was finished in four days as promised. The finished product looks terrific!

The window installation went extremely well and the crews for windows really did excellent work. The process began with a few showroom visits and in home visits to set up all of the parameters of the jobs - lots of decisions and the sales associate was very helpful in this regard. The lead window installer was also very good. They did a good job of removing the old windows and took care of the mess, and did a very good job of installation.

The sales associate was very helpful and helped us through the decisions in the process. The lead contractor was barely ok. He would promise to do things and not follow through. He would promise to show up at certain times and not actually make it - mostly a talker and not much of a doer. The actual workers who did the work were exceptionally good, and did take care to do careful work, but timelines were not even close to being met. We did not have a problem with the work taking longer, but the company should have been more realistic in the time frame required. The lead contractor went on an extended vacation during the job which made it difficult to get the last bit of the work done to our satisfaction. The most distressing thing, though, was that the lead contractor authorized about $40,000 to run on my credit card without my express authorization about one week before Christmas...this was rectified relatively quickly after my very forceful phone calls to the owner of the company, but it definitely soured the relationship with this firm which is really too bad since the work that was done was very good overall. I had made several attempts to contact the company regarding the timing of payments prior to this, but those contacts did not result in clear information regarding payments. I think if we had to do it over again, we would have this company do the windows and go with a different firm for the stucco.

We were satisfied with the quality and finished product.

Custom Exteriors did an absolutely outstanding job from start to finish and I will definitely use them again for the rest of our windows and recommend them to all of my friends. I was very impressed with their entire team and their process from start to finish! I had already received several quotes before a neighbor recommended I call Custom Exteriors, and NONE of the previous companies were confident that they could solve my problem (we had one wall that was gutted due to a previous window leak and the other companies were not knowledgeable enough to know how to handle that window replacement or to guarantee it in the event that the leak was caused by something else on that wall). From the beginning, Grayeagle from Custom Exteriors was knowledgeable, helpful, professional, courteous, and answered all of my questions. He didn't try to "up sell" me but instead patiently listened to what we needed for that room and recommended solutions. He discussed the pros and cons of each including cost / benefit trade offs up front with me and we agreed on the best windows together. He was completely prepared at our first meeting with samples of various kinds of windows, what they looked like, how they worked, etc., and also had samples of molding and panes of glass to choose from. It was also important to me to have this job completed as soon as possible because we had been unable to use that room (our young daughters' bedroom) for months due to the water damage we had had and the resulting insurance company issues. Grayeagle understood and was able to do all of the measuring himself on that visit which shaved off a WEEK of time and brought the complete, installed time frame down to two weeks. The windows arrived right on schedule (amazing) and the installation department called and scheduled me immediately. Javier and his partner came on a Saturday and were absolutely professional, knowledgeable, and clean. They covered the entire work area with canvas and were immaculate when carrying the old windows out of our home. Javier also was able to tell me exactly where the leak was occurring on the wall that had been damaged and how I should have the general contractors fix it (he was right in all cases and that wall is now fixed properly). This was invaluable to me. Javier and his partner returned on Monday to complete the job and I noticed at that time that the 12 panes of glass that I had ordered were incorrect-- I had ordered (or thought I had ordered) "Glue Chip" obscure window panes. We checked the order form and it wasn't written down anyplace but Grayeagle believed me and exchanged all 12 panes of glass, no questions asked and no hassles. This was a true example of the old adage "the customer is always right" and earned my business for life. The new windows arrived the very next day (!) and Custom Exteriors finished this project on time and within budget. I will definitely hire them again, and we love our new windows!

EVERYTHING went wrong from begining to the end. EVERYTHING had to re-done because it was NEVER done right the first time. The quility of the work was POOR, the quility of the materials was POOR. The job was upposed to be one week and was extended to 5 months.They used tools and equipment from my garage as if it was their own and then took them when the job was finally finished. There was little to NO help from their office untill there was money owed. This was my 2nd worst experience with a contractor and could not reccomend this company to my worst enemy. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
