No, follow up no success with rodent removal. They called me immediately after this review was posted and apologized. They have asked to start over again. After one follow up visit, no returns, still hearing rodents in walls and they are eating almonds off the tree outside.

Service was great. Quick to respond and nice to deal with. A bit expensive though.

Update: I talked to Mark, got hold of him and he apparently had an emergency situation and couldn't come back to me. He came in and did an amazing job. For now we don't see Rodents anymore. He helped us clean garage as a bonus to customer satisfaction. There is no way you can reach their customer service. It takes several calls and days to get any response. They are very responsive till they get business and money. My take is they are only getting business and never doing all the work they promised. This company will almost get you instantly same day because they are not doing work for already signed up customers. There is a reason other companies take a couple of days time before they can show up. I hired them for one time rodent infestation removal and one year contract for pest control sprays every month after initial spray. I was told I have to pay before they start work. I wrote a $2000 check in exchange for few traps and Bait. While we did get one rat and possibly some that ate bait outside and it helped. They promised to show up every week and change traps till they catch all and also seal all openings into house after 4 weeks. So far I have one visit after the signup visit that helped but no response there after. They do know how to handle situation, I wish they were proactive considering the fact they are hired to eliminate rodent infestation as early as possible and so why customers are paying that heavy price tag.

Responsive to phone calls and questions and were very prompt.

They got right to the problem. Everyone I have talked with and have meet from the company has been nice, helpful, and understanding of what we were dealing with.

The gentlemen that came out were very helpful and went the extra mile to help.

Mark did a great job. He was personable and a pleasure to work with. They also had the lowest bid.

They were the first to respond to our request for service. Friendly, professional and empathetic to our problem. We struggled nearly two weeks trying to eradicate our rodent intruder. With their expertise and equipment they were able to resolve the problem within day. Personal, professional and effect. Would recommend to anyone that needs their service.

They were so professional they did it that day and what else can I say that I would definitely recommend California pest offense again and they're going to make a second visit to make sure the visits in two weeks and they were very reasonable as far as money

We hired them after they responded via homeadvisor when we saw 3 mice near the panty. I got a few people from homeadvisor respond but California pest defense was available on the same day. The came, checked the house based on the droppings and place 8 glue type traps and charged $375 and said will be back. After 1 week I sent an email that the trap is useless as we see more droppings near the kitchen/pantry/garage (the places the traps were kept) with nothing caught. The came after 2 weeks and said there is food and that is why their trap is not working :) In any case we cleaned waited for 2 more weeks and no use. Then I bought a electronic rap zapper and in the span of 3 days caught all the three mice and no more activity - it looks like the garage doors were open one day that allowed them to get in. The money paid to these guys was a waste. May be they will be good for a bigger project. On the positive side they are professional, clean with their work. Just not sure how good they are with pest control

California Pest Defense were quick to contact me and organize for someone to come round to inspect the issue. They explained over the phone that the inspection was free, but that any extermination cost (if necessary), would be agreed between myself and the technician. Thankfully, whatever my husband had sprayed to deter the wasps from setting up a nest behind our gutters had worked, as the technician confirmed that there were no active wasps there. The technician told me about the bi-monthly pest control service that they offer, so we will be looking into that.

The initial contact, Mark came out on August 15th to eradicate a wasps nest and check the entire property for additional infestations. He said a technician would return to service the entire property, Mark and an associate came by on Sep 7 and did a complete spray around the outside, inside, under the house and in the attic. We are expecting a written report he guaranteed to supply us within the next 3 days.

Mark is very personable and diligent. He came with one other person and did the treatment himself. He is certainly dedicated to serving his customers. I was originally going to get both the rodent and insect treatments, but after checking the product label for the rat bait, I realized the rodent treatment is highly toxic and will enter the food chain. I asked Mark not to market the bait traps as Eco-friendly, because they are certainly not. Our garden has mostly native or drought tolerant plants. Many of them attract birds, bees and other insects. We have chickens in the back yard as well as wild bird feeders and our small dogs use the yard many times daily. I didn't want to risk introducing toxins into the yard. Because of my concerns about toxicity, Mark decided to use the non-toxic insect treatment (around the perimeter of the foundation only) and do web sweeping. Since the treatment was completed a week ago, I still see ants a few feet away from the house, but we have none inside. This was my primary concern. I'll decide after my first contract year if the service is worth the price. So far so good.

Mark was right on time, very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough in explaining everything. The first pest was caught with in 48 hours and so far no "friends". Mark agreed to come back and seal the ingress hole later this week at a time that works for us.

Mark really goes the extra mile and I really appreciate it!!
