Since Robert Baker had done the spa inspection when we bought our home, we asked him to clean out the spa thoroughly before we used it. He said we needed a filter and said he could sell us a filter, install it and clean out the spa for USD800.00. He was one and a half hours LATE on the day of the installation. He said he would clean out the spa once he was done installing the filter. Well, his idea of cleaning out the spa meant all he did was fish out some leaves from the spa! I asked him why he did not drain the spa and clean it out thoroughly and he said we did not pay him to do that. He absolutely knew that we had expected him to drain and clean the spa thoroughly and now I know why he said in the quote that he would clean out the spa "at no extra charge". Basically he only wanted to sell the filter and charge the labor but didn't want to do the clean out. When we told him that we were very disappointed and that we felt mislead he got very defensive. Oh, he also installed a Rainbow Feeder for USD100 which we didn't want so we had him take it out and he tried to charge me Sales Tax for that. I should have checked out a review of him on Yelp before I hired him. Big mistake on my part.

My hot tub was lying open without the cover because the cover was damaged so bad that it had to be taken off the tub. Therefore there was leaves, and some debris from inside the cover in the hot tub. Bob drained the water and the debris, and cleaned all the stains out from the inside walls of the tub. He is a great guy, who is also helping me out in getting a new cover for my hot tub. It was raised speakers, so the general purpose cover does not fit. He said he would clean the hot tub only on Saturdays, so I had to wait several weeks, to find a Saturday when there would be no rain. Considering this is the time of the year when it rains in the east bay, it was a little difficult.

The pool man is wonderful. He is such a great guy. If there's ever a problem, whether he is busy doing something else or not, he comes out and fixes the problem in a minute's notice, it's awesome. He has different levels of prices; he has a low, medium and high-end service.
