+ -1 moreThe day we moved back in of course it was pouring. I was concerned about the new floors but here they come with plastic sheeting to lay over my new carpets and flooring.. They placed everything exactly where I wanted it and so quickly it was truly amazing. Hopefully I won't be moving again for some time but I would 100% recommend Handy Movers.. I won't use anyone else. Excellent service from the first phone call with Kristen to each worker that came for each stage of our move. Highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We used Handy Movers in 3 stages and each time they were excellent. The workers were so professional and treated my belongings like they were their own. DId not pack without asking first.. each stage was handled very well. First stage was packing apartment Second stage was moving boxes and furniture to the rented POD Third stage was bringing it back to renovated apartment

Description of Work: The Handy Movers made a round-robin move of household belongings that included six stops. In some cases things moved onto the truck, in other cases they moved off the truck. The three-man crew was quick and efficient and managed to keep track of what items went where. They understood what I wanted and performed extremely well. Furthermore, they exhibited a great attitude, which helps a lot during a stressful move. | |Before the actual move, the office person asked very good questions to understand what I needed, how many movers and how big a truck to provide. Their written (email) and verbal communication was very good and ultimately they did exactly what they said they were going to do. In my opinion this company is top-notch and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

+ -1 moreWe hired Handy Movers in July 2014 to move across Orinda to our new home and we just loved every aspect of the experience. From the scheduling, confirmation, cell phone access for move day (on a Saturday) to the guys showing up on time, personable, kind, professional and they worked hard & consistently to get our move done in the time we were quoted! We just could;t have been happier with the move, it all went so smooth, beds put back together quickly etc! I would recommend not paying more than you need to and using Handy Movers cause these guys DEF DELIVER on all levels!!!
Description of Work: Handy Movers scheduled us, confirmed our move, then moved about 1800 sq feet of furniture, boxes I packed, their price also included "loaning" us 17 wardrobes and also unpacking them at our new home. This is HUGE cause those are pricey boxes and bulky too, usually a pain post move to get rid of so it was great to have clothes moved professionally and the boxes gone after...they took apart our beds & reassembled at new home...move expensive china, crystal, NOT ONE THING BROKE!

Description of Work: I needed a few very heavy items moved inside the house. I'd had a difficult time in the past finding a company that would move a few items...4 hour minimums. Handy Movers were wonderful, with only a 2 hour minimum. They called when they were on their way, came during the time frame, the two movers were professional and move the items efficiently and carefully; they had to take a treadmill to the second floor past an antique mirror and through a narrow doorway. Excellent. Will use them again in the future when I have a need.

Description of Work: I had very short notice to move my mother from one unit in her retirement facility to another, so Handy Movers couldn't schedule her move in time. However, they were very helpful in referring me to another competent mover who were able to schedule the move.

+ -1 moreThe guys were great! The POD took two of us 3 hours to unload the first time we used it. I decided to hire Handy Movers the second time and it took 45 minutes! After it was unloaded they reassembled some of the furniture and helped with some other moving needs. They were professional, set down things to protect the floors, and were very efficient.
Description of Work: We used Handy Movers to help unload a completely packed POD, then used them again to help us move from Oakland to Lafayette.

+ -1 moreWe've used Handy Movers 3 times already and all 3 times we were very satisfied with their service. We originally used them 3 years ago to move into our first home. Then we called them back to move to our temp apt/storage then back again to our new home. Kristen was awesome to work with. She was able to move around our schedule due to our uncertain closing date. They are very flexible and accommodating as long as you book in advance. The movers were great! Roberto and his team were fast, professional and extremely careful with our things. Roberto knows the ins and outs and had some great tips on packing/moving to help relieve the stress. We requested for him all 3 times. All in all we would definitely use Handy Movers again due to their professionalism, quick service and great team. Thanks guys!

She is personable, caring, honest, and makes sure the customer understands the process and pricing. The 4 guy team lead by Roberto was awesome! They were professional and courteous. Ever time I tried to move something on my own, they insisted on doing it for me. They were moved quickly and was careful to point out any existing nicks and scratches. Upon arrival and each destination they moved with precision and care. I would HIGHLY recommend them and would be willing to be a reference for them.

+ -1 moreThey were very careful with my belongings. They placed everything within the storage unit in a very organized and consise manner. If things needed to be marked, it was clearly labeled so I could see it. Both of the gentlemen were very nice and easy to work with.
