+ -1 morePC Service Center determined, on opening the computer, that it had a lot of dust and debris in it. I approved a cleaning of the computer. While they did not find any significant problem other than the dust and debris, I think the cleaning did improve the performance of the computer at least a little, and the fan certainly does not blow constantly as it did before. The day after getting the computer was returned, I realized that sound on the computer was no longer working. They opened it again, found a loose contact of some kind, and fixed it. There was no additional charge.
Description of Work: I brought my laptop in to see if they could figure out why it has been acting sluggishly recently. I also mentioned that the fan on the laptop seemed to blow constantly and loudly. They cleaned it, removing a fair amount of dust and debris, but did not find a significant problem.

Description of Work: They cleaned and reinstalled to original. Whenever I have called with a question or a problem, they have always tried to problem solve on the phone, not immediately told me to bring in the computer in order to make a buck. Always polite and patient. The woman who answers the calls is just wonderful. This is the only place I feel I can trust, even over the Geek Squad.

+ -1 moreService of PC I'd classify as good, tech seemed very competent. I might use them if I had a personal computer that needed work. However, for anything approaching professional IT services I'd steer clear of them. Communication was lax and there were several instances of missed appointments and lack of follow through on specific problems.
Description of Work: Had PC service center service a computer as well as work on some office IT issues (small office with a server and 5 workstations).

+ -1 moreSuperior professional service! Found them through Angie's List...yay Angie's List! 1. They had it ready very quickly, even before the date promised, and the problem was completely solved. Price was reasonable, people are very nice. Couldn't ask for better. 2. They found that the hard drive was ready to go out on the old computer, and recommended that we not spend the $$ to fix it. They did not charge us for the diagnosis, and disposed of the computer for us. We have recommended them to friends, all of whom have been as pleased as we are.
Description of Work: 1. Computer caught a virus! They removed the virus and installed a better virus protection program. 2. Later on we brought in an old computer that was operating very slowly for diagnosis.

+ -1 moreIn both cases, we brought the computer into the shop in Pleasant Hill and it was just a matter of days from the time we brought it in to the time we got the computer back with the problem resolved. In one case, it was recoverey of data from a crashed computer and in the other case, it was simply transferring files from an old computer to a new one.
Description of Work: This is the 2nd time that we've used this company. The first time, we had a computer that crashed and were hoping that they would recover the data. We were also concerned about how much it would cost but we needed the data. The first thing the technician told me was that they would only charge us if they could fix the problem. They did and the cost was very reasonable (can't remember exact amount) and we were so relieved that the data was able to be recovered. The 2nd time we used them was when we got a new computer. They transferred the files from the old computer to the new one at minimal cost to us.
